Came here searching for the correct allen size for my front sight, and found a nicer looking unit than the Truglo I just bought for my 22/45. On the plus side, it looks like Ruger ran out of red loctite before they assembled my gun. That screw popped out way easier than I expected after watching your video.
That front sight mod is a large improvement on my TX22. On my MK 4 22/45 I installed the TK pic rail which is the correct size, with a red dot. Nice set up on both.
Looks like I'll be making another purchase from TandemKross. I was wondering why my shots kept hitting to the left when sighting. TandemKross has the best products and does make a Good Gun Great!
The screw that came with my front sight did not want to go in. I thought the blue thread locker on it made it tough so I tried more pressure. Decided to take it out and inspect and the sizes appear different. Now I’m concerned I may have damaged my guns threads.
I have the same golden color pistol. The stock sights were very disappointing. I ordered Williams fire sights from ruger. The front one was easy, I haven't installed the rear one yet.
Is the height of the sight the same as the stock version? If so, you guys should consider a taller one as a "point-of-aim point-of-impact" version since the stock sights are 6 o'clock hold.
These sights are the same height as the stock ones. We've discussed doing taller sights like the ones we release last week for the Taurus TX22, but we don't have any concrete plans right now. But its definitely something we're keeping in mind.
@@TANDEMKROSS Some slightly taller than stock sights would be nice for the mark iv lite. I've been looking for taller sights and so far I've only found dawson precision front sights but I just don't think those are bright enough. With the maddmacs precision base plate I'm able to slightly co-witness with a holosun 407k but the blacked out sights are really hard to see
Yep, I know this was over a year ago. I just wish someone would address the real issue with the Ruger Mark IV. The problem with the sights on the Mark IV is the depth of the rear sight notch and it's adjustment screw design. You can barely see any of the front sight. It needs to be deeper. I had one cut by a machinist. .130 depth and .130 wide. The rear elevation adjustment screw also comes loose. The design calls for the detent ball to sit in a hole with grease to keep it there. I called Ruger because my adjustment screw kept moving, this is what they told me. The Volquartsen rear sight has a traditional design, it works. It's also longer which limits optic options and it has the same problem with the rear notch depth. I do have your front sight, works fine. I like the Torx screws.
Do you sell replacement fiber sticks for the sight? I broke my green...found out I like red better anyways, but would like to have another spare fiber stick
How do you know if the front sight is aligned perfectly? Does it automatically just sit perfectly on the barrel? I am wondering this, because I want to replace my front sight on my 22/45 lite.
I purchased some sights from Tandemkross and I wish this video would've come out before changing a simple front sight screw. The sights that I bought didn't come with a screw or an allen wrench. Do you have a p/n for me to order the front sight screw and can you please tell me how much this is going to cost me with S&H to Virginia? Thank you
Hi, if you email customerservice@tandemkross.com and tell them that you received a sight that didn't come with the tools its supposed to come with, they will just send them to you and it won't cost you anything.
@@TANDEMKROSS thank you for your help, I've been a loyal customer and have purchased allot of things for a couple of my firearrms and your customer service has never failed me. Appreciate your support
The hammer and punch technique to loosen the screw did the trick! No heating or penetrating oil required. Thanks!

Great upgrade for the mark 4 much better than the factory front sight.
It's definitely a favorite =)
the screw that came with the front sight wouldn't fit in my ruger mark iv 22/45 lite, had to use the original stock screw
Tolerances/Threading may vary on Ruger uppers. We are glad you were able to figure it out, give us a call if you need anything else!

Good call! Adding now, but here it is! Thanks for the heads up!

I can't get my rear sight to budge and can't find anything on how to install.
Hello, I NEED TO KNOW if this works with the mkiv tactical and bot just the lite version
Great Video Bill
Does the included screw also work with 22/45?
will these work on the 22/45 tactical??

is this only for the LITE model? or any mark iv - like the standard 22/45?
Does the Tandemkross fiber optic front sight screw come with Loctite already on it?
Yes! There is thread locker on it.
You folks rock!!!
No YOU!
How do you make sure that the sight is lined up straight? Is the bottom of the sight contoured to the barrel on a bull barrel?
Yup! That's how it aligns.
@@TANDEMKROSS Which one works with the Mk4 target and can you use the existing factory rear sight with it?

If it's crooked you will see because it will overhang the rounded part of the upper! It's really easy to align and tighten and it will stay put!
