7:17 actually you're playing a real song. It's called "Nothing else matters" by Metallica, so your rule about practicing to songs still holds
haha true!
Please do a Bollywood song
Want to see what will you do!👍
Maybe at some point!
Constitution: All human are created equal
Music *hold my beer*: All Notes are not created equal
Really good advise thank you :)
😅
I can’t thank you enough, Nathan . You’ve always been my first inspiration ever since I found out about your channel . Like , I used to memorise every chord I learned until I took The Fretboard Freedom training.
Ah. Light of the Seven. That song rocks. Took me like 2 months to learn your arrangement
gotta say, it's a bit of a beast
All your videos are great, useful and easy to understand.Thank you so much🙏 my Greatest teacher on youtube channel ever👍
Thank you Nathan, for everything these tutorials you make... They mean a lot to a guy like me who is so confused on how to get started... You really are a life saver. 😄
you're very welcome :)
Rest Stroke Gang!
banned! 😅
One problem I have in light of the curve of my nails is that I have to change hand position when playing a rest stroke. This makes it difficult to play pieces like the Sor study in B Minor, because changing hand positions slows me down every time I play a rest stroke. I haven't found a good answer to this problem:-(
i never use rest strokes. for a similar reason. the way i like my nails requires me to change my hand position too much between free stroke and rest stroke, so i feel like the cons outweigh the pros. by following this technique and digging deeper into the string, free stroke works perfectly fine
@@BeyondTheGuitarAcademy That's good, reassuring news, thank you! Now back to Sor's Study in B Minor sans rest strokes:-)
I´ve never heard about this before and it helps a lot, thank you.
You should make a video about how learn to read a musical pentagram and some execises.
Saludos desde Mexico.
No mention of using rest strokes.....what gives man? 😂
Won't find any of that rest stroke propaganda nonsense here 😉
Pls suggest me a beginner's classical guitar with truss rod
I cud not quite c which fingers went on which string. what is m finger a finger??
Hey quick question. What mics are you using for your recordings? They sound really good
Thanks! All my gear is linked in the description via my Kit links
My thumb naturally wants to play the base strong longer than the others. Thank you. Need to work on this
Yeah that's pretty common. Definitely worth correcting!
Por favor coloca legenda em português 🇧🇷
Thank you, great lesson as always. 🙃
you're very welcome!
My guitar teacher talks about this all the time. This helps so much. Thank you!
Hey Nathan, I just wanna say thank you for whatever is you are doing. It helps me to motivate myself and see things in a different way and I actually have a question for you. Why some of your videos on this channel not 10 minute long, I don't know how much youtube is paying but as far as I know it gives a little bit more when you do it 10 min long. I mean just play a song at the end of the video maybe idk but it would help you a little bit more maybe and I would love that :) (sorry for my bad england :()
Really kind of you to be concerned about that. Don't worry, though. Ad revenue doesn't really make a big difference until a channel starts getting hundreds of thousands of views. I make most of my income from other means like the Arrangers Academy, Patreon, Sheet music sales, Spotify, etc.
Can you do a video with recommendations for someone looking to buy their first classical guitar? So many different ones out there. Yamaha and Cordoba seem to be the main contenders for beginners, but still a lot of models for each. Would be helpful to see your opinion on where to start and a comparison of price points. They range from $300-1000 for "entry level" guitars
I recommend the Córdoba C5-CE
The arengment's link does not work anymore
Should be fixed now, thanks!
