for those who don’t know, this game is based on scandanavian/ swedish folklore. The creature in the water is based on a particular one called Näcken, or Nixie (since there is multiple interpretations of this folklore). The swedish version of this tale is defined as : “a water creature in human form who, amongst other things, could lure people to drown in his river by his wonderful violin play”. The rest of the game when it’s fully released will include more creatures from scandanavian folklore, can’t wait for it to come out.

This game is a very surprising horror game despite the fact that the game itself is peaceful, it still found a way to make it scary. Props to the Devs for amazing soundtracks especially at the flower part.

Im from sweden and seeing all of the creatures and hearing the music of this game makes me really exited for when it comes out. It is inspired by swedish and scandinavian folklore and they have done a really good job on that side of things.

I got so suprised when I heard "Den blomstertid nu kommer" (first song), then I learned this is based ln swedish folklore. So cool! Näcken is my favorite myth :)
I finished playing god of war ragnarök not too long ago. And it kinda of reminded me of the nøkken creatures you find in game(they sing to power up enemies ingame). I imagine it's a different variation or something,but I've heard of alot of these mythical creatures that sing/play instruments to lure people/prey. Which are also similar to sirens,I wonder if they're all connected. They all seem to have powers to posses and control minds,its very interesting to me
@@IcyAtticus-w- I think the reason so many mythologies are connected (especially european ones, mostly northern and western europe) is because they share a very similar background. I could be wrong but I think a lot of myths have been passed down from the Germanic language which a lot of european languages are related to. That would at least somewhat explain the myths, folklore and legends that are the same in different countries, even if they usually have some traits that make them different from eachother. I could always fact check this and maybe I will but sometimes it’s just nice to discuss and wrack your brain trying to make sense of something.

Yes the most amazing aspect about this game to me was the music. Mixing in the culture, folklore, environment, and giving the player the feeling of what they are witnessing at the time is very interesting and entertaining. You’re reaction to the music at times was spot on and hilariously funny. Keep putting in work because you’re doing a great job.👍
