Thanks everyone that tried answering the quiz questions! Males are more likely to have an inguinal hernia due to the inguinal canal being larger so that it can accommodate the spermatic cord. The inguinal canal is the pathway that the testes took during development in order to move from inside the abdominal cavity to the outside of body, and into their final destination, the scrotum. The Like Button question: The flexor digitorum profundus and the flexor digitorum superficialis are muscles that could both help you click the like button. 😀
My daughter was born with inguinal hernias on both sides of her abdomen and had surgery at 12 weeks. They said it was rare for a girl. She is still a rare, wonderful woman😁 like her mom.
I've been living the one-ball life for nearly 3 years this year, after having testicular cancer! After surgery and chemo, I had my 2 years clear last month! :D
Question dear brother did that like affect your sex life? Like feel free not answer if u feel like it like i know it affects testastrone severely but like it didn't kill ur sex life right?
@@whiskey-biscuit9388 Hi friend - thankfully I only lost one, so the remaining testicle picks up the slack. It took a bit of time to balance out, but otherwise it's all good! The only change was my refractory period is longer now, which is no big deal!
I just googled this and, my god.. I've had this (probably a light version of it) but still very painful. Weird thing is, I had this in specific.. "situations" and I know how I could reproduce this event. Is this a reason to visit a doctor?
me too man. I had both testes twisted at the same time when I came in the ER. the nurses and doctors were baffled that I won the lottery and twisted both completly at the same time. worst pain ive ever felt. radiates through your leg and up your back. luckily I didnt lose mine but I still get pains from what I assume is damaged area where they twisted
No pun intended. Hopefully you can watch the ball drop on new year’s I have all of the unwanted side effects from prostate cancer. Nothing works . My T level is so low. No Drs will help me with testosterone shots. I feel like crap loosing muscle tone , life really sucks now. My marriage is going south because of it. Been trying to get anything for the past 20 years.
I worked in a veterinary surgery years ago and the strangest case we ever had was a 12 month old Labrador who was brought in for a routine neutering (castration). One of his testicles hadn't come down so the vet began to open him up to remove it from his abdomen (this was already planned), but, upon opening little doggie, we realised he was a very special little doggie! We found his other testicle ….. right at the end of a fallopian tube! and yes, he had a womb too! No wonder he was having some behaviour problems, bless him!
Had a litter of Boston terriers of which when asked male to female ratio i had a hard time knowing with certainty turned out one was hermaphrodite his penis shaft appeared skinless or slitted and I was concerned when it became dried and wondered if it would impede his urine turns out I needn't have worried it was months before I noticed that he peed from back where his balls seemed to be I took him to get who promptly called many vet friends to show them what they had only heard about in textbooks...I kept him as I wanted to make sure he had loving home he was also deaf as were his littermates very smart well behaved tough as nails
I took my cat to get neutered and they couldn't find his second testicle. If one was left in, it could've become cancerous, so I told them to remove both. Poor guy had some exploratory surgery. They did a great job. He healed faster than usual and is back to being himself.
A friend of mine had a sheep with male and female anatomy! The veterinarian joked that if he'd spun around fast enough, maybe he could've impregnated himself!
I had a female collie. Beautiful dog, smart, beautiful and no problems. She never came into heat so I never had her fixed. She was a rescue and I assumed she had been previously rendered sterile. The County I lived in decided to charge 10 times the regular price for large dogs. Ouch. So I took her in for surgery. She had no female organs and also no make organs. She was born neutered. But the County was happy.
I'm a pre-med student honestly you teach us better than our professor, I gain more knowledge in your content I love your content Keep lecturing us about human anatomy thank you
Had testicular cancer back in 2003 and I was super lucky catching it early where all I needed was an orchiectomy and no radiation treatment. Thing is, I totally regret getting the prosthetic. It’s a heavy saline-filled oval ball that’s clunky, annoying to deal with, and often lays on my other normal testicle sometimes making it tender to the touch after prolonged periods of time. I definitely want to get it removed at some point and would urge anyone going through testicular cancer to skip it. As I’ve learned, at the end of the day, women don’t care whether you’re a uni-baller or not.
Probably wise to wait until a better prosthetic is invented. Thanks for letting us know. Had a friend who lost a nut to cancer and he took it kinda hard, but his classy wife made it clear he wasn't getting rid of her that easy. 💪
As a woman, I can confirm. We don't care about them at all unless babies are wanted. We usually are attracted to eyes, shoulders, and bums; not necessarily in that order lol. I am glad you are doing well.
👀 I LOVE this channel. You guys are so incredibly educational for both the people with and without medical knowledge! Thanks for continuing to educate us all!
@@theanatomylab sir do u have a vdeo regarding testicular cancer.? Im confuse for the lumps..is there a lumps located at the epididymis that can cause cancer ? I have mine i can feel it i dunno if this is abnormal lump.. Ive done scrotal ultrasound but nothing found. But i was wondering in the tail of epididymis why i can feel like a small nodule feels like smooth and firm.
Got one removed in 2019, I was on the luckier side because the tumour wasn't cancerous (about 5% cases). Still kicking ass in the gym, my testosterone is at a great level and I pretty much forgot that I have one ball left :D
I opted to have both removed during Prostate surgery. I was only 56 and my oncologist was concerned the cancer was aggressive. The surgeon gave me data to read which identified Testosterone as the driving force behind Prostate cancer. I'm 14 years cancer free so I think I made the correct decision.
Do you have testosterone patches or supplements? Like Hormone Replacement Therapy (similar to what menapausal woman get - HRT), but the guy's equivilent.
@@HilaryPea No, surgeon advised against T due to cancer risk. Plus, I like not being horny all the time. Hair loss is down too. Downside is loss of muscle; I've gotten quite weak.
Much like the previous commenter, I too had testicular torsion when I was 14 years old, in simple terms, in case you don’t know what that is, the blood vessels that lead to the testicles twists, and cuts off the blood supply, causing excruciating pain like you have never felt before on your life. I was throwing up the entire way to the hospital, literally crying and screaming in agony. To fix it they have to put me to sleep, Cut open my testicles, and untwist the blood vessel, usually stitching it in such a way that it will never happen again, but that’s not the end of my journey, it was only the beginning. A few years later, I noticed a hard lump growing on my left testicle, sure enough it was stage for testicular cancer, at 17 years old. It’s incredibly rare for a very young man to get it, but leave it to me, they had to remove my testicle, and after all the chemotherapy and radiation, thank God the cancer finally went away, but the damage was done, and I endured three more surgeries, where they placed a prosthetic testicle, so that I would at least look relatively normal down there. Aside from the pain, the embarrassment when you were that age is absolutely overwhelming, not to mention the depression and the fear of knowing that they’re literally going to cut off part of your manhood. So I can really relate to this video. There is absolutely zero family history of testicular cancer, or any cancer for that matter, but a couple years after that when I was 20, I was diagnosed with stage for Crohn’s disease, and a few months later after my entire large intestine ruptured, stage four intestinal cancer. Every surgery they did, all 37 of them, removing 95% of my entire G.I. tract, we’re done just above the pubic bone, each one carrying a high probability of permanent impotence, but it was either that or die. I never ever get a normal disease, I always have to get the most painful and embarrassingly uncomfortable ones you could possibly imagine. After you’ve had your testicles, you’re entire pelvic region, along with your penis cut wide open, you just give up on life, because life has absolutely no meaning anymore, it seems personal, like the fates are out to get me specifically. And you heard me right, they did have to cut into my penis, because after all those G.I. surgeries I did end up with impotence, something no drug could fix, so they had to put implants in my penile shaft, and a small pump in my dud testicle, where I pump it, causing these implants to fill with air creating an erection. It’s forever humiliating and embarrassing. Thankfully I’ve been married to the same person throughout this entire process, well most of it, we met when I was only 20, but even still it’s not the point, it’s dehumanizing to have the one thing that defines your masculinity taken away from you against your will. Suicide is never far away from my mind, having attempted it three times already, and succeeding, but each time I was found with enough time to bring me back to life, when I didn’t want to be brought back to life. It really messes with your mind more than anything else, I can’t even look at my own body in the mirror, because all I can see is half a man, covered in scar tissue, who can’t even get it up without surgical intervention. We’re all the men out there we never have to experience this, you have absolutely no idea how lucky you are, because I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy, it’s hell on earth!
TJ, I can't imagine all the pain you've been through, physical and mental. I am very aware of the importance of health but reading your story makes me appreciate it even more. I hope you have a lot of loving, supportive people around you. Hang in there.
@@messimessi4167 me too my friend… i’ve been seeing a psychiatrist for 10 years now, I’ve been on medication all that time, and while it helps, nothing can take away that deep rooted pain I feel every day of my life. If it wasn’t for the Crohn’s disease and the intestinal cancer that they found after my intestine ruptured, I probably would’ve been just fine living with one testicle, but then to have your ability to get an erection taken away as well, makes you feel lower than dirt. I didn’t even feel like a man anymore, and it took a lot of therapy to get me to realize that what I went through has nothing to do with being a man. Because I only have 5% of my G.I. tract, and because I’m prone to getting kidney stones, which are more painful than any other thing I’ve ever had happened to me, I live with physical pain every day of my life, but that I can deal with. I take three Percocet and two Gravol just before each meal, so that my gut will slow down just enough to allow me to absorb at least a little bit of my food, before all this happened I was always a relatively stocky but healthy man, well maybe not man, I was still a teenager when it began, but for the most part, at 5‘11“ tall, I was always at least 180 pounds, but ever since the last dozen surgeries, my weight begin to plummet, and no matter what I eat, I cannot gain weight, I just keep losing. I’m down to 118 pounds, I hate looking in the mirror, I look like a human skeleton, I can see all of my ribs and vertebrae, and every bone in my body, with my skin just hanging off, I do mention this for a reason. Since I posted two days ago, yesterday I got a phone call from my doctor telling me that the cancer has come back, this time in my liver and my pancreas. It is one of the reasons why I’ve been losing the weight so quickly, my immune system is gone, and I’m dying. There is still hope, there is always still hope, no matter what the doctors tell you. I’m going to have to be put on permanent TPN, which is in layman‘s terms, intravenous nutrition, for the rest of my life because my body can no longer absorb nutrients to keep me alive. It’s a 12 hour infusion every single day of my life forever, they have to go in and remove what is my kidneys, and see what they can do about my pancreas. They claim they can actually remove a part of it without causing too much damage. Because I have a background in medicine, in case you didn’t know, what are the most important functions of our pancreas is to produce bile and digestive enzymes, which help break down our food so I bodies can absorb it, that’s why, or at least one of the reasons why, I’ve been losing so much weight. My apologies for rambling on but I’m kind of still in shock. I thought I was finished with this, I’m only 53, and I have no plans of dying anytime soon. Forgive me if I’ve made a few errors telling my story, but memory loss is one of the major side effects, I literally can’t remember anything past the age of 20 up until I was around 45, and I lost a significant amount of memory from my youth, all thanks to the chemotherapy, radiation, and countless medications. But here’s the good part, according to the doctors, not just one doctor, but 12 different doctors, I was 100% for certain supposed to die, five times already, I had to arrange my own funeral, I even wrote my own eulogy, but somehow I made it through. The doctors cannot explain how it was possible, all of them telling me I was the only patient they have ever had that survived what I went through, so I have to believe that I was left here for a purpose, and I honestly believe that purpose is to share my story with other people, so that they may be a little more attentive when they notice something not quite right with their body. I know it’s kind of irritating, but I make no apologies, because if I can save just one life, then everything I’ve been through has been worth it. And although I know I am facing one hell of a battle again, for some reason this time I didn’t even cry when they told me the news, as opposed to the first time when I found out I had cancer, and ended up on the floor screaming and bawling my head off like a five-year-old child throwing a temper tantrum. It’s not because I’ve given up, I just have this inexplicable feeling that this is not the end, and I will continue to share my story as long as I possibly can, until there’s not a breath left in me. So thank you for your kind reply, and my sincere sympathies for what you’ve had to go through, because I know it’s indescribably difficult and painful, physically and psychologically, but I also know that you can get through this. If ever you want to talk, or just need a shoulder to cry on, with somebody who totally understands what you’re going through, by all means feel free to message me at hanlansboy@hotmail.com, anytime you want. All the very best, and no worries, I am absolutely certain that no matter what the doctor say, I am going to beat this again. So many of my friends and family tell me I should write a book, but as you can tell, I am no literary genius, and not even close to being an intellectual, although perhaps I should start a journal, let’s see what happens! Cheers!
@@onedollarbleach6891 thank you, but it’s not over yet, I posted this two days ago, yesterday I got a call from my doctor telling me that the cancer has come back in my kidney and my pancreas, yet for some reason I am not even worried about it. Why? According to my doctors, all 12 of them, I was given a 100% chance of dying, with no hope of survival, five times in a row. To this day they still can’t explain how I survived or why I survive, but I honestly believe I was spared for a reason. I know it sounds cliché and even corny, but I believe I was left alive so that I can share my story with as many people as possible. God, fate, or whatever you want to call it, knows that I never shut up, and that I love helping people, (I even managed to get two masters degrees while I was hospitalized, mostly through correspondence with the University of Toronto, and ended up 2 masters degrees…one in medical laboratory technologist and the other in medical radiation technologist. For the times that I wasn’t too sick, I was able to work at the hospitals here in Toronto, so I shared my story with everyone that I possibly could, and it felt so good to put a smile on my patients faces, because they knew I understood exactly how they felt, and it can make all the difference in the world. As you can tell I’m not exactly a literary genius, nor am I an intellectual, but I really would love to try to write a book about my experiences with these various health problems, all with one passionate hope, that other people might recognize the signs of a problem before it gets too serious, goes to their doctor and seeks treatment immediately. I think my biggest regret in life is ignoring all the symptoms that I had ever since I was a kid, because I know I’ve had the Crohn’s disease all my life, but as a young boy, if you see blood coming out of your rectum after a bowel movement, it’s not something you want to talk about to your family, to your friends, not even to your doctor, because you’re absolutely terrified of what might follow. I was such a coward back then, and my doctors have told me on many occasions that if I had come forward years before, I probably could’ve avoided a lot of the pain and surgeries that I had to go through. Testicular torsion is something that I could not have avoided no matter what I did, but I would still probably have all of my intestine, and would not have become completely impotent, if only I had sought out medical help when the symptoms begin to get more and more frequent. I have to live with that stupidity, with that ignorant decision I made out of pure cowardice, for the rest of my life. It’s my passionate hope that by sharing my story and what I’ve been through, somebody who may be experiencing the symptoms I had, might read this, and decide to go to the doctor before it’s too late. I don’t mean to scare you, and please remember that my case, according to the statistics given to me by the University of Toronto medical division, statistically represents only 0.01% of all Crohn’s disease patients. Most people can live their entire lives just fine using medication alone with no need for surgery, but don’t take the chance. I don’t know what’s going to happen to me in the future, I have to go to the hospital tomorrow to begin the long, arduous process of determining exactly where this new cancer is, and how much of me they are going to have to remove, and how much chemo and radiation I’ll need, but I have hope, and as long as I still have hope, I absolutely refuse to let it get the better of me, and I will continue telling my story to anybody who will listen. I know it can be really annoying sometimes, I drive my poor family crazy I think, but like I said many times, if I can help one person, just one, avoid having to go through everything I’ve gone through, then it was all worth it, and I would do it all over again so that I could help that one person, but hopefully I’ll be able to get my message out there and help as many people as I possibly can before I finally do leave this earth. Anyways, thanks for listening, my apologies for rambling on and on, but this is something I just cannot stay quiet about, because silence kills, especially in a situation like this. Please, don’t be me, if something feels wrong, get to your doctor. If it’s nothing, then no big deal, nothing lost, but if it’s something serious, you may have just saved yourself from going through everything I’ve gone through, not to mention your life!. All the best, and many thanks, cheers!
To answer the quizz, hernias forms more in males because of the openings made between fascias of the abdominal muscles to leave room for the spermatic chord elements to pass. Blood vessels vascularising the testicles are connected to other bigger vessels, and vas deferents must pass to reach the prostate, so sperm can go out with gland secretions : a must to perpetuate the species. Sometimes, those fascias are a bit too loose and then intestines can pass to the inguinal canal, causing hernias.
When I was a newborn I had a Testicular Torsion. I was apparently screaming for hours from what my parents said and I’m not sure what happened after I was rushed to the hospital but what I do know is that I have had one testicle since I could remember, and there has always been what felt like a very small pea inside my jewel sack ever since I was little, recently I found out by my doctor that it is actually my long lost testicle! It’s incredibly small compared to my other one and the doctor says since this happened at such a young age I might be prone to it happening again but I grew up very active without any issues so he said just continue to live my life the way I have been. He also mentioned that I might have increase risk of cancer and that in all of his years of his career he’s never come across someone who still had their testicle after a torsion, apparently it’s incredibly rare it never receded all these years and still hasn’t lmao. Thank you for the video though! Always love the content you guys put out.
I was diagnosed with stage 3 testicular cancer that gradually spread over time. Had a bone marrow transplant done, kidney removed, had a Foley catheter exchanged 10 times in the span of 8 days and was awake for all of them, and a lymph node dissection. All I have to say is check your balls pls you can avoid so much! Luckily I’m 8 months into remission but that was scary and definitely traumatic but an experience:)
When I was 13 years old I experienced testicular torsion, I didn't know what it was... I thought I was just going through puberty until the pain was excruciating and my testicle grew to the size of a softball. My age at the time I was too embarrassed to talk to my parents about it. One day is was SO bad that I swallowed my pride and told my Mom. We went to the hospital and I received an ultrasound and the doctor confirmed the testicle had a small tumor! The testicle was dead and had to be removed. I received a radical orchiectemy. The healing process was quite fast and I had to wait a couple of years when i turn 18 to inquire about a prosthesis. As an adult, Having one testicle always made me feel self conscious especially when dating & engaging in sexual activity I would have to explain to my partner why I only have one testicle. I still haven't gotten the prosthesis because I simply became used to having one. I may inquire again soon but I've learned to be okay with the reality. So wild how it's a 6% chance at my age to have testicular cancer.
I know I'm a woman and don't know what men go thru, but if you're OK with the one ball, don't go putting foreign objects in your body if you're doing it so u don't get rejected. It could be a good way ween out those that actually love u for u. I know if I ever had to have a breast removed, I wouldn't get an implant for anyone but myself. Bcuz if a man is not man enough to stay bcuz one is missing, then he's not for me. So IF u do it, make sure it's only for u. Imho. I'm glad you're doing well now and I pray that u stay healthy! Xoxo 🙏🏾❤
@@brittanyfeagin2191 Exactly! Your comment is want I was trying to say, except yours is strait to the point. Daang, why couldn't I have thought of those simple but effective words? Lol. Good job! ❤
There was another man who mentioned his prosthesis actually causes him a lot of discomfort and he wants it removed. At the end of the day it's all cosmetic and it's not even going to be seen by nearly everyone you meet. I would imagine more women don't care vs those who do.
Answer to the question: because in pregnancy, the testicles descend through the inguinal wall, taking a part of the abdominal musculature with them, forming the cremaster muscles and the inguinal canals. In case of a hernia, tissue might herniate through the inguinal canal. The canals are larger on males as more stuff has to pass through as opposed to females.
Has an inguinal hernia repaired last year. I always wondered why I got this, apparently Is was due to a severe cough and was told more males get this than females. Now I know why. Thanks.
i am a survivor of testical cancer which spread to my lymph nodes 1 operation and 30 heavy treatments of radiation, thanks to the doctors/ ner i am here today
Great video! In my case a blood clot caused the right testicle to swell up to the size of a baseball, which resulted in a radical orchiectomy. This happened in my early teens, and now I'm in my late 60's. Still happily married to my first wife after 35 years, and we have two grown up sons. So in the long run, having only one nut for my entire adult life didn't really matter.
When I learned how to assist pathologists with autopsies, part of the process involved removing the testis. It took awhile for me to successfully remove them without having to cross my legs.
After my Dad divorced my Mom for another women……I may enjoy doing that a little to much……..😅 I am female, and I hated males for about 2 years after that. I liked FHV groin shots a little to much I admit.
to anyone who experiences minor pain in one or both testicles randomly, feel above them, if you have even a tiny lump that is above and not not attached to your testicle you may have a torsion happening. do not wait like I did to get help, it is a very simple fix and prevents you from losing them. I was lucky to not lose either of my testes, because I somehow twisted both at the same time. but 6hrs of pure agony is much worse than just getting treatment before the twisting goes to far. dont put it off.
@@theanatomylab hey bro quick question, i remember having like a feeling of something heavy in my sacred man artifact and i had like some liquid in one of my testicles and had a surgery to get it removed, never knew what it was though. So i wanted to ask if you know what it was and the cause of it? Probably genetic since some of my family members have also had it.
@@cortster12 compared to a lump a tube is barley feelable, but the lump does start rather small to begin with but it is very easy to feel, almost like an airsoft pellet or something. so if u feel that at any point better to make a doctor appointment before it turns into a golf ball size lol.
40yr male , Also 2 years no cancer. Stage 2 almost 3 . Lost ball. Im living the monoball life and yes, I lost a huge amount of libido and its hugely effected my life but the silver lining is that I am a very chill mellow person now. I used to be an angry man always in a hurry. Now im zen mode. Good vibes to you
My brother had epididymitis and went to get seen at the doctor... he was 17 at the time. The doctor took a look and told him immediately that he was going to lose that testicle. He was in tears. Thankfully, my mom took him to an urgent care late that day and they gave him the antibiotics he needed so it could be treated.
My niece is studying nursing and I've sent her the link to this channel. I sent this video to her father, and told him it was because I cared about his mental health! Family love😀
This week 5 years ago in March 2017 I got diagnosed with testicular Torsion, the worst pain experienced ever, the testes felt like a golf ball wrapped in skin with an agonizing pain. Usually didn't found about this thing related stuff much. Thank You very much for Sharing this video ❤️
Each testis weighs 0.35 to 0.5 ounces (10 to 15 grams), according to Virtual Medical Centre (VMC). They are typically 2 inches (5 centimeters) long, 1.2 inches (3 cm) wide and 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.
I had Stage 2A Testicular cancer Last year, currently 6 months free from it. Living with one testicle hasn't had really any effect on me except some very minor weight gain (about 20 pounds at most). I cannot express just how important it is to check yourself routinely. I noticed it and told myself that maybe it would resolve itself in a couple of days, two weeks later I was diagnosed with stage 2A testicular cancer, had my right testicle removed and underwent a pretty radical chemotherapy regiment thereafter. Despite the cancer spreading to a lymph node, I discovered it early enough to only warrant 4 months of weekly chemotherapy. Chemotherapy isn't fun in the slightest.
@@noman2008 The first symptoms I noticed was a very small lump, barely noticeable at first. About a week later very mild tenderness with a noticeable increase in size. It wasn't a drastic increase but noticeable. By the end of two weeks the swelling started and increased tenderness and a very obvious increase in size. I wasn't aware of any risk factors for me, I don't smoke or drink, I exercise frequently but not excessively, my diet is fairly average, a mix of meats, vegetables fruits. When speaking to a Urologist he even said this form of cancer can arise out of the blue for some people. The only known cancer my family has experienced was lung cancer. Which now that I get screened every year puts me at ease
One cause you did not mention is viral infection. I had the Mumps virus when I was very young in the late 1950's and the virus invaded my testicles causing the left one to atrophy and damaged the right one making me sterile. Surgeon did not remove the right one since it still made testosterone but it caused aching pain for many years. This week I finally had the right one surgically removed as having had a radical open prostatectomy I wanted to get rid of it. A mumps vaccine was developed in the 60's or 70's so you never see this problem now but it was once very common (anti vaxxers take note).
Since the MMR is an actual vaccine and not a gene therapy inoculation that contains no attenuated covid virus, I think we're good. But thanks for your concern.
I underwent a bilateral orchiectomy a few months ago as a form of Gender Affirming Surgery, and I'm so much happier as a result. Hormone wise, I'm already prescribed with Estrogen, and no longer need to take testosterone-blockers
@@ynffsy2443 The messed up thing is, blockers are not even needed since a sufficient level of estradiol (estrogen) will suppress testosterone production by itself. Wish more doctors knew this. But it's because back in the day they gave us proper amounts of estrogen, except it was synthetic garbage that causes blood clots and a lot of people died from it. So they had to lower the amount to be safe, and it was so low that it no longer suppressed testosterone. So blockers were needed. But today you can take natural bio-identical estrogen and blockers are not needed. Btw, the safest and most effective way is injections. The pills, even though they are bio-identical, can still cause blood clots.
Before my prostatectomy, I've learned that men who've had this procedure would likely suffer an inguinal hernia sometime after the procedure-one of several side effects. I've had mine repaired 2 years post prostatectomy. The pain was show stopping.
My son developed a lower groin hernia when he was a month old and had it repaired when he was three months of age. His hernia always traveled into his scrotum causing him severe pain. Upon reading the comments I have learned why this happened. Love your channel and learn so much every time I watch. You guys do a great job! Keep up what you do.
A navy buddy of mine had a similar problem when we were underway. He went to sick bay and told the medic what happened he calls the nurse, the male nurse grabs his ball and doesn't know what it was and calls the medical officer. Medical officer grabs him and tells him he got testicular cancer. My buddy wisely distrusting military doctors goes to the military hospital in San Diego once we pulled back in which was the next day. He gets checked by 2 other medical officers and they tell him the same thing "you have testicular cancer". He denies it and demands a civilian senior doctor. The doctor checks him and tells him "you don't have cancer! It's only twisted." He got his balls grabbed by 5 people just to get a simple fix.
Back in late July of 2019 my husband had emergency surgery to remove gangrenous tissue that had unknowingly began in his groin. He lost not only a lot of dead tissue but a testicle. Later he would lose his penis. The rare disease he had was Calciphylaxis and is generally 99.9% fatal. He passed at the end of August.
I’m still grieving . . You marry your High School sweetheart at 20, he was 19. We spent 37 years together (35 married, 1 son) and you really expect to make it to at least your 70’s with that person. But? Diabetes is very cruel. Calciphylaxis is even far more cruel. He was 55. So my point was is that there are other reasons/ways to lose your testicles. His case was extreme but it did start with one testicle!
@@phughesphoto my condolences! Losing a life partner is hard. Thank you for sharing what happened to your husband. You comment will help others so they realize there's other ways men lose a testicle. I had a friend who passed away from cancer and it started on his penis. He chose to ignore it and it spread through his body unfortunately.

My testicle got twisted it was twisted for over 3 weeks and died out about 7 yrs ago it was by far the worst pain I've ever had to deal with!! But I'm so glad this procedure saved my life!! I've also had stitches put on my left testi so it can't twist or turn !
@@ahmedpranto can you explain your situation bro? If you read my comments about this one i commented about my situation and repeated myself in atleast 2 other peoples comments.
Had to muster up all my courage to watch this video lol. Thanks for another great video, I've learnt so much medical knowledge from this channel alone!
I have Klinefelter's syndrome and my medical records say I was naturally castrated. So, I've been injecting testosterone for 45 years now. I enjoy your videos.
In late December, right before Christmas, I slipped on some ice and caught myself in an awkward way, snagging one of my testicles in the process. I thought I just hit myself and the pain would go away, but I had actually torn my vas deferens. After a few days of extreme pain, it started swelling and my skin was bright red. I went to a doctor and was diagnosed with epididymitis. If I had waited, my doctor told me I would have lost my testicle. So that's how I started my new year.
Grew up around bikes, scooters, and eventually motorcycles... Got my street-license at 15... Lost my first friend to the sport in the high school parking lot at 17... AND with 30 years on the road since, I've seen a LOT of trauma and disfiguring injuries... mostly from stupidity in varying degrees... If you're ever on a motorcycle, and you ever hit anything "head on", the very first thing that happens is your crotch getting slam-crammed against the gas tank... and the second is crashing the entire pelvic territory against the handlebars... After somewhere around a dozen or so incidents like that, in which you show up to help a fallen rider, you kind of get over the whole "crippling sympathy pains" issue, because it's quite literally impossible to function otherwise... I've seen some pretty gnarly sh*t. ;o)
I had testicular torsion in high school. I suffered several bouts throughout high school, where I had the most EXCRUTIATING pain that caused me to vomit uncontrollably and pass out. I eventually had such a bad bout one November morning in 11th grade while getting ready for school that I had to go to the emergency room instead. It finally got diagnosed. I was one of these people who was not born with the proper attachments to hold the testicles in place, so surgery had to be done to properly attach them. Believe me when I say that the pain of torsion is ABOMINABLE.
I contracted the mumps in 7th grade. It was complicated with virus meningitis. The swelling of glands manifested in one of my testicles that enlarged to the size of a softball. I was hospitalized and in isolation for six weeks. The affected testicle reduced in size less than original. Life went on. I was not, however, told I most likely would be sterile. Did not learn this until I was an adult and my mother blurted it out at a social gathering. What a fun day that was. I am now 75 and it has, over time, atrophied to barely palpable. That side has remained tender to touch over my lifetime. My second wife and I wanted children but but could not conceive. I was tested. It revealed that I had no motile swimmers. Sadly this was very disappointing for us. Would have been handy had my mother told me about this or even father. It's the only thing i hold against my parents. They were good parents.
Unfortunately, discussion of heath issues, especially "down there," has long been taboo. It has gotten better over the generations, but it's still a problem. I'm sure they wanted to do the best for you. But broaching a delicate subject probably got put off and put off until they felt it was a non-issue. Until it wasn't. Parenting is a tough job. I hope you forgave them.
I had an undescended testicle removed when I was an infant. My remaining one has done a fine job (good sex drive, three kids 🙂). It is significantly larger than an average testicle. During an initial physical exam with someone new I usually get a somewhat surprised look when they encounter it. The funniest incident was when the person doing the exam (army doctor) called in three other doctors to check out the guy with the huge ball…. Anyway, in the right company it’s a good story and offers opportunities for the occasional joke.
@Steve Fisher: i have the exact same issue as you...i had one of mine removed when i was about 7 or 8 yrs old..im 44 yrs old now and just like yourself great sex drive...excellent sex life and one kid who is 19yrs old....but my question to you is Does it feel like the one testicle you have not hang? Or does it feel as if its stuck in ur groin sometimes? Your scrotum is not even a scrotum? Its up tight? Not all the time but sometimes?
20 yrs ago, I had a hydrocele the size of a 12 ounce can, maybe bigger, removed. Uneventful successful surgery fixed it. I think it was caused by rough housing with my little son, he got me good, or a few long motorcycle rides. I’ll never know for sure what caused it.
I have to say, that its been a while since I was exposed to an anatomy class... your topic matter is brilliant and fun, and extremely interesting not only to the lay community, but to us physicians as well! Jonathan, may I ask you since you mentioned medical training, are you an MD, DO or a Kinesiologist for example? You have a dearth of knowledge that I know my colleagues and myself as MDs would never remember, and probably never knew or paid attention to in med school... thanks for these videos, great refreshers!
@@SpyderT22 It can actually be compared with Kidney stones. The bearing capacity and level of pain depends from person to person. In my case it became worse.
@@Anmol.singh.10 so what was your case exactly and what happened to your testicle if you dont mind me asking.? I have torsion on my right one from a injury playing soccer 4 years ago and to this day i can still ejaculate but if i do it often like maybe once every week or 2. It starts to hurt as well as mostly when i workout my legs doing lunges and stuff. But then my pain subsides after a day or so. Its my right testicle and its bigger than before and sits slightly higher than normal. Im just so curious if our testicles can be saved after having torsion for so long
@@Cheaps928 In my case it was a matter of hours.Actually Torsion usually shows symptoms within a few hours or so and you'll feel tremendous pain in lower abdomen. In some cases it may take few days to get symptoms. But you're talking about years right. So its impossible that torsion is there. What happens is During Testicular torsion, the blood is restricted to reach Testis. So Testis dies due to lack of blood supply if not treated on time. If reached on time, Testis can be fixed again on correct position and Doctors permanently fix Testis using Stitches. Stitches get dissolved in few weeks and u recover. You just have to stay away from heavy physical activities activities like Cycling or Gym. There's a rare condition in which both the testicles get torsion. I don't think you have torsion. Its impossible because the pain from torsion won't let u move, playing soccer is too far. U may feel discomfort in the groin which is normal in soccer. If you observe change in testis size then its normal if you are going through Puberty, Observe hardness and pain, if it is getting hard and pains when u touch and also Observe change in Colour if its also getting dark. All these symptoms together determine if its torsion or not. Hernia also shows similar symptoms and occur frequently than torsion. Torsion is a rare condition which occur to few unfortunate people.
Without even watching this video I can confirm, that testicular cancer is one reason. I'm thankful that I have survived it and that my remaining testicle is doing the work! Check your testies regulary, guys!
I lost my right testicle to a torsion because the (boarding) school nurse couldn't identify the cause of the problem. By the time I got to an actual hospital, it was too late. It still hurts to think about.
Don't feel too bad. I went straight to the hospital and although I had 2 or 3 doctors check my balls they just sent me home after a few hrs of trying to workout the cause. Then they left me like that for 2 weeks until I was due to see the Specialist. My ball sack was close to double the size of a baseball by then. I never forget being told once I wokeup from the op, we have good news and bad news. The good news is we didn't find cancer, the bad news is we had to remove a testicle. My eyes must have popped out of my head. Hope that helps comfort you some what. It was a major hospital also.
Very interesting presentation! About 30 years ago I noticed a small lump next to one of my testicles, and of course thought I had a cancerous tumor growing. After a visit to my doctor, he told me it was a spermatocele cyst, and not any type of cancer. I was relieved to say the least, but after several more weeks it continued to grow and essentially became large enough to be noticeable visually. As a matter of fact, it eventually became larger than my testicle and really started to look like I had three testicles! It also became a bit uncomfortable as it would press against my testicle when I sat down or was seated for extended periods of time. I was referred to a urologist who recommended a "spermatocelectomy" to remove the growth from the epididymis. However, during the procedure the doctor determined that the cyst was too advanced in size and was essentially irremovable without removing the epididymis, of which he proceeded to do. Over the years since, the testicle adjacent to the where the cyst was removed has shrunk to about the size of a small grape, and is quite asymmetrical compared to the other; however, I've never experienced any loss of function or drive, sexual or otherwise, over the time since the surgery.
I live in Denmark and at the age of 26 I had my hidden testicle removed. It had always been lodged in the groin (I think it's called). There weren't enough "veins" and such to pull it down, It was also incredibly underdeveloped and cancer was feared for my later years.
Bro my right testis is hidden what can I do now I can't understand. I am 15 years old now I am feeling shy to tell this to my parents or family members please help me out
With the pain you were talking about, I was wondering of you would be willing to do an episode one Trigeminal Neuralgia. I have this little known issue and I would love to see how you would be able to introduce this to the general public.
I would also love one on trigeminal neuralgia. I have had it for years. From a tooth going bad under a gold crowned tooth. This week the eye Dr recommended nuero lenses. I'm going to learn more about them. For eye alignment and comfort. Terry the Female
Thank you sooo much for including gender confirmation surgery in this video as well as trying to use inclusive terms! I had a bilateral orchiectomy as part of my full depth vaginoplasty 5 months ago and it was the best decision I’ve ever made I’m soo much happier and comfortable in my body now😊
Awesome!! That seems like such an intense surgery to recover from, I hope you're doing well. I'm gonna repeat a joke I saw from a trans woman recently: it takes balls to get an orchiectomy 😉
@@slitheen3 omg it definitely was a tough one I’ve had back surgery, appendectomy, and a reconstructive ankle surgery and this was on a wholeee other level but it was soo worth it in the end😊
I had an undescended testicle for the first nineteen years of my life. I had an abdominal lump as big as a cricket ball. Our GP (UK) kept telling me it would fix itself! When I finally showed it to a surgeon, he had me onto the cutting board within 24 hours. I went on to lead a normal married life producing a fine mob of kids including identical twins.
Lol. We've been at the mercy of the weather. The cold plunges that we typically do have been completely frozen over. They are starting to thaw, so stay tuned!
A kid in our elementary school was born with three testicles, his parents were told they'd have to wait a few years to get one removed. During summer vacation he had it done before sixth grade started. A couple of months later, during recess he was climbing over a chain link fence to recover a baseball, lost his footing, and straddle-dropped onto the top steel support bar, crushing one of his testes. Started out with three, wound up with one. Hang onto your spares.
Great video. Answer is lifting heavy weights or heavy objects the incorrect way. Or coughing the wrong way. Number 6 is epidermal cysts. I had to have my testicle removed because of this. I had surgery to remove the cysts, then it came back in a larger number, so had to have an orchiectomy. Look forward to the next vids.
Answer to the question: Males have a hole in their groin because blood vessels need to go through to their testicles. Tissue may protrude through a weak spot in the muscles in this circumstance. This makes males more susceptible to hernias than females. Females are also able to experience hernias though.
What causes an enlarged scrotum, ruling out a possible hernia? Does the time it took to enlarge indicate the possibility of cancer? In my case it started in the left side and now encompassed the whole scrotal sack. I’m told that an immediate scan is necessary. I’m 77 yrs old and have never been under the knife, and not looking forward to any surgical procedure.
It depends on what is causing the enlargement. They can get enlarged from a tumor/growth, but also can be from fluid (hydrocele). The scan will get you more info. Hope everything goes ok!
Good for you for talking about Gender Reassignment, Thank you. Knowledge can (often!) solve ignorance that can lead to prejudices, especially important when there's too much misinformation out there. Long time lover of the channel...(& want to donate my body)
Agreed, sometimes a misunderstanding from lack of information can cause people to draw wrong conclusions. Some are just knobs but have a habit of making themselves known from the first sentence.
Oh, 100%. I prefer ignoring that kind to a point, they're often beyond saving or educating. As long as they're not harming my trans offspring ~ or any others. People need to stop perpetuating hate!
@Jazz I agree, it can sure go a long way to improving or eliminating dysphoria. The only (& i mean sole) reason i would say it was elective is that I know that knowing/being Trans & the social transition starts LONG before any surgeries are considered by the long list of specialists required to be seen, but they and all the persons friends & allies can respect their gender long before bottom surgery. Otherwise, no definitely not a choice
Grs is similar to hrt in that it's not clinically required or really recommended, so medically it is a choice to remove healthy organs, but I know damn well that it is a choice made from necessity.

It is interesting to hear this video make mention of the conditions under which the testicles may be removed. It is reminiscent of the video on this channel on organs that are not required for life. While technically not required, most males who watched this video probably hoped this situations would not happen to them, as the testicles are organs most males would never want to live without.
Testicular cancer is not a death sentence. I am a 22 year cancer survivor. Diagnosed in 1999 metalized to my seminal vesical and lungs. My treatment was 4 - 21 day cycles of chemo, not fun but beats the alternative.
Lost my leftie to testicular torsion when I was 8 years old. Can affect anybody, Any age. Always listen to your kids if they complain about pain in that area, I suffered with it for two weeks, and had it not been removed I would have died from sepsis.
If you dont mind me asking. How did yours look like exactly? Because i know i have torsion on my right one from a soccer injury i sustained in august 2019 i basically got a hard kick to my groin area but also got hit on hard on the right testicle mainly but both were hit. And i can still ejaculate but doing it more than once a week or so it hurts for a few hours then the pain goes away as well as when i do leg work outs like lunges. My groin and testicle hurt for a good while no more than a day. Im just curious if a testicle can actually live with torsion after so long. Im soon to speak to a urologist because i never did. I just went to the ER and they said everything was fine but i know thats not true. My testicle is a big bigger it has a lump thats sometimes not noticeable and it sits slightly higher than normal
@chivita7 Sounds like you're safe from the torsion if the doctors said you're clear, but if you're not fully convinced and they haven't done it already, request an ultra sound and they can take a better look. To answer though, my scrotum was bright red and swelled up to about the size of an orange (i was 8 yrs old). In order to walk I had to waddle and I had to manspread really wide when I sat. It was painful and throbbing at all times, and I couldn't even imagine doing anything physical.

My brother's ex wife had four male relatives who ended up with testicular cancer. So to prevent her son, my nephew from getting it, she insisted the doctor remove his genitals, shortly after he turned 13. She also thought that masturbation was a symptom of testicular cancer and no doctor could prove to her otherwise. In her state, it's legal for a parent to have their son castrated or daughter get a hysterectomy up to their 18th birthday or at least was. Not sure of current law. This happened in 1996. Since then he has attempted suicide over 20 times. He also has the largest breasts in the family despite being five feet two inches and only 95 lbs. He is also now 40 years old and has the voice of a woman half his age. So the reason he lost his testicles ultimately is because his mother caught him masturbating.
damn, I'm 19 and never had my testicles removed or had a problem, but having your testicles removed because of masturbation is the stupidest thing I've heard.
I had a testicular torsion when i was 20 and it was the most painful thing i have ever experienced. It's a pulasting pressure pain, that feels like your testi is in a vice that gets further tightend every minute. Until they un-twisted it in the ER after about 2 1/2 hours it swelled to about twice it's size. i got it surgicallly fixed on the spot and no further damage has resulted but it was close. The scary thing was it happened completely out of the blue while showering. No trauma, no excessive sport, just suddenly while cleaning myself. So dudes, if you balls start to hurt randomly and the pain doesn't go away in about half an hour or even get worse. Go the the ER immediately!
My sister once told me a sad anecdote. When she was in high school, some friends and her were out goofing around, and a male friend climbed up a flag pole to show off. He then slid down rapidly and forgot about the thing at the bottom of the pole that you tie the rope to. Anyway, his balls landed on the thing. He had to be taken to hospital and sadly lost a testicle.
I had a orchiectomy due to testicular cancer was very lucky to have caught it when I did it's not really life changing other than having to constantly go see the doctor and work around their schedule but the pain does eventually go away

I knew someone at work who kept complaining about their balls, talking about how firm they were because of epidydimal cysts. He claimed they wasn't cancerous, but I always wondered: do cysts on the testicle harm them if they get bigger?
I had testicular torsion at about the age of 15 - spent about 24 hours in agony and then went to the hospital - this was too late and my right one had to be removed - the doctor explained to me afterwards that they'd actually then "secured" the left one so that it couldn't happen on that side either. It's quite a traumatic experience when you're a teenager boy, but to reassure all young guys out there who may have gone through this, I'm 55 now and my experience was 40 years ago - I am also the biological father to two strapping teenage boys, so don't worry yourselves too much.

I've been dealing with prostate cancer for 13+ years, and prostate cancer feeds off of testosterone. Those with advanced prostate cancer are often given androgen deprivation therapy to kill off the testosterone and slow the cancer's growth. The ADT is given through injections, but a small number of prostate cancer patients will opt to have an orchiectomy to remove both testicles to permanently remove the main testosterone source feeding the cancer.
Ive had testicular torsion just about s month ago. Thankfully I still have both the bois. Worst pain ive had in my entire life. I also had chronic inguinal hernias where it fell into my scrotum. That wasnt fun either.

When I discovered I had testicular cancer, they not only did a radical testicular removal, they also irradiated my groin area. I was told there was no chance at ever having children again and if I wanted to have spent collected I could. Being age 50 I had no reason to save anything because I already had 2 children and they are grown, so I said No saving sperm. So the truth is, ask your doctor before any procedure if there is anything you need to be aware of before they proceed.

I've had many episodes of Severe Testicular Pain in my 19 years of life .These episodes generally range from half an hour to 2 hours (depending on the level of pain). Whenever I've been admitted to the hospital , my nephrologist didn't find any abnormalities like Testicular torsion , cryptorchidism , Inguinal hernia etc. The pain surprisingly didn't occur specifically due to any injuries or something. It just suddenly occurs , mostly in my left testicle. Nowadays the episodes have become rare , like 3 times in a year or less. But to this day , I still cannot come up with a reason for these sudden episodes .
Chronic idiopathic male pain. I share in your pain. Having a testicular reattachment surgery reduced my overall pain; I had apparently been experiencing microtorsions, which I didn't even know were a thing.
Can you explain how your testicles are? Because i know i have torsion on my right one due to being kicked hard on the inside of my leg then my testicle playing soccer. I had pain for 3 hours straight with nausea and this was 4 years ago now. To this day i only have moderate pain when i workout my legs or ejaculate more than once every 2 weeks or so. Pretty weird but i do have a lump on it, its bigger than before and it sits slightly higher than normal
The Barbarians card is unlocked from the Barbarian Bowl (Arena 3). It spawns five single-target, melee Barbarians with moderate hitpoints and damage. They wield short swords and have blonde hair and moustaches. They are the same as those spawned by the Barbarian Hut, Battle Ram, and the Barbarian Barrel. A Barbarians card costs 5 Elixir to deploy. Strategy The Barbarians are a great option to use against enemy troops such as tanks and medium size pushes as the Barbarians have a moderate amount of hitpoints and damage, and are perfect for attacks with other tanks. Although they are very effective against single target troops like the Prince, Barbarians are susceptible to spells and troops which do area damage due to their slow move-speed. Their slow attack speed also leaves them vulnerable to swarms such as the Skeleton Army. Despite being a swarm unit, Barbarians are fairly effective against an Electro Giant due to their high DPS and their moderately higher hitpoints compared to other swarm units, allowing them to survive the Electro Giant's reflected damage and defeat him for a +3 Elixir trade, but they will likely die in the process or have an insignificant amount of remaining health. Note that since the Barbarians will have little health remaining, any sort of damage dealt to them besides the Electro Giant's reflected damage will often nullify their defense, so the player should account for supporting troops or accompanying the Electro Giant as well. Due to the amount of counters to a Barbarian and most resulting in a positive Elixir trade for the opponent, it is ineffective to deploy a group of Barbarians without support in one lane, as they can be easily countered due to their slow speed and can leave the player vulnerable to a push in the other lane. However, if the opponent is extremely low on Elixir, or their best counters are out of rotation, they can be very effective at forcing the opponent to spend Elixir poorly, as they can quickly chop down cheap troops and will completely destroy a Crown Tower by themselves. They are excellent for taking out low numbers of enemy troops such as the Prince or Musketeer on the player's side. The 5 Barbarians will quickly eliminate the unit if they are dropped directly on top of it, surrounding it. A successful defense with Barbarians will also make for a powerful counter-push; tank for the Barbarians for a threatening push or use them to tank for a glass-cannon, which also results in a threatening push. They can also defeat a splash unit if placed directly on top of the unit, but failing to surround the splasher with Barbarians will cause them to take more damage than necessary. Note that this is ineffective against a charging Dark Prince, a Valkyrie or a jumping Mega Knight, as they have 360º splash. The Barbarians can be effectively countered by most ranged splash troops such as the Bomber and Wizard from a distance. However, you must be careful as the opponent can use a Tornado or Freeze to immobilize or destroy the splash attacker, allowing the Barbarians to devastate the Crown Tower. A powerful counter is the Fireball; the damage and radius of the spell is more than enough to one-shot the Barbarians. However, keep in mind that if the Fireball is underleveled, or if the Barbarians are overleveled, it will not one-shot them. Additionally, the Barbarians can also act as a bait for these counters, allowing you to use other cards that would be weak to Fireball, such as Zappies. Poison can also be an effective counter to use. Its damage over time will eliminate the Barbarians and any supporting troops. However, as with Fireball, it will not defeat Barbarians with a level higher than the Poison. If the Barbarians survive, try supporting them with a tank in front to get some use out of them. A Rocket can also defeat them, however it is a negative Elixir trade. It is best to be used if the Barbarians are assisted with another card. Rage used with Barbarians can do severe damage to a Crown Tower, as it is hard to stop because Rage increases movement and attack speed. The Barbarians together have high damage and can make short work of a tower before the opponent stops them. They are very effective at defeating enemy tanks due to their numbers (5 of them), high combined damage, and ability to tank most spells. Support troops will have trouble defeating them due to their combined hitpoints. If the combo happens to be any ground-based splash damage card + ground-based melee tank, wait for the troops to cross the river. As soon as they cross, immediately drop the Barbarians upon the splash card. They will surround and destroy it quickly before moving on to eliminate the now unsupported tank. This can result in a large positive elixir trade. However, if there is more than one splash unit, the Barbarians are likely to be taken out immediately. Note that this may be ineffective against a P.E.K.K.A. as she can one-shot Barbarians up to 2 levels higher. They are very effective against Hog Riders and Ram Riders. Not only do they deal a lot of damage to these troops, but their high mass and slight spread forces the Hog Rider and Ram Rider to go around them, extending their distance from the Princess Tower. Because of this, the Barbarians can easily defeat these units with no damage to the Princess Tower. The Barbarians, if placed early enough, can surround the Princess Tower, making it less vulnerable to attacks from a Goblin Barrel. They can handle it quite well with only minimal damage done. However, this is a 5 Elixir investment so consider using it if you lack better counters. Splitting the Barbarians in the back can discourage the opponent from attacking either Princess Tower, due to the Barbarians' defensive presence, and spells will not have as much value. However, they are slow moving and as such, the opponent might deal some unnecessary damage before the Barbarians arrive on their target. Due to being 5 of them, they can act as a Lightning rod for more fragile units like a Magic Archer or a Flying Machine. 2 of them will also survive for extra protection for the guarded fragile units.

Yeah, torsions are no joke. Glad you're doing ok, and thanks for watching!
I just googled this and, my god.. I've had this (probably a light version of it) but still very painful. Weird thing is, I had this in specific.. "situations" and I know how I could reproduce this event. Is this a reason to visit a doctor?
Was this testicle saved or lost ?

Wow that really is unusual. Didn't know that happened to animals too. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you're doing ok!
Probably wise to wait until a better prosthetic is invented. Thanks for letting us know. Had a friend who lost a nut to cancer and he took it kinda hard, but his classy wife made it clear he wasn't getting rid of her that easy. 💪

I too lost my right testicle due to torsion last year .
It’s been a life changing event
Im currently seeing a therapist.

Answer to the question: because in pregnancy, the testicles descend through the inguinal wall, taking a part of the abdominal musculature with them, forming the cremaster muscles and the inguinal canals. In case of a hernia, tissue might herniate through the inguinal canal. The canals are larger on males as more stuff has to pass through as opposed to females.

to anyone who experiences minor pain in one or both testicles randomly, feel above them, if you have even a tiny lump that is above and not not attached to your testicle you may have a torsion happening. do not wait like I did to get help, it is a very simple fix and prevents you from losing them.
I'm glad you survived it. Very important for men to check themselves and say something if they don't feel right down there.
What was the symptoms sir.?

Congrats sister. Blockers are the second worst, only better than testosterone itself

Im sorry for your loss
Rest In Peace 🙏🏾 I’m sorry for your loss…

I had a inguinal hernia that went down in my right testicule a few years ago, it didn't hurt, but it was very swollen and felt uncomfortably
Can you do a video about What actually happens when you have a sore throat, like what happens inside the body causing it and stuff?
😂😂😂😂 man now that’s a military exam!
And did you got into military?

20 yrs ago, I had a hydrocele the size of a 12 ounce can, maybe bigger, removed. Uneventful successful surgery fixed it. I think it was caused by rough housing with my little son, he got me good, or a few long motorcycle rides. I’ll never know for sure what caused it.
Just seeing the testicular torsion representative image gives me so much pain. I can only imagine who painful it would be for the patients.
I have to say, that its been a while since I was exposed to an anatomy class... your topic matter is brilliant and fun, and extremely interesting not only to the lay community, but to us physicians as well!

I lost my right testicle to a torsion because the (boarding) school nurse couldn't identify the cause of the problem.
By the time I got to an actual hospital, it was too late. It still hurts to think about.
I'm sorry to hear that man, 😔

@xo_dom_xo under...it was intertwined with the epididymis.
@xo_dom_xo No, as I indicated in my original post, it was removed.
@xo_dom_xo several months as I recall.

I live in Denmark and at the age of 26 I had my hidden testicle removed. It had always been lodged in the groin (I think it's called). There weren't enough "veins" and such to pull it down, It was also incredibly underdeveloped and cancer was feared for my later years.

Or coughing the wrong way.
Number 6 is epidermal cysts. I had to have my testicle removed because of this. I had surgery to remove the cysts, then it came back in a larger number, so had to have an orchiectomy.

Good material. It brought back memories of my 10th grade biology class…which was a long time ago.
Answer to the question:
Males have a hole in their groin because blood vessels need to go through to their testicles. Tissue may protrude through a weak spot in the muscles in this circumstance. This makes males more susceptible to hernias than females. Females are also able to experience hernias though.
You putting lot of hardwork to make this video...

Nice vid :). Hope you make a video about Chronic Testicular Pain or Varicocele.
Thanks for the very informative video as always guys
Ive had testicular torsion just about s month ago. Thankfully I still have both the bois. Worst pain ive had in my entire life.
I also had chronic inguinal hernias where it fell into my scrotum. That wasnt fun either.
How would u describe the pain? As women we hear a lot of this over our lifetimes, but we don’t know what it’s like
@@pecan11 Not toll sure how to describe it really. I guess just imagine your ovaries being crushed under the weight of a black hole and being stabbed with burning razor blades
Bro when you started rotating that thing i fuckin died inside 💀💀💀
I'm a girl and it made me shudder....
When I watched after filming I thought... "People might react to that..."
@@theanatomylab 🤣 aye maybe just a tad.... shudders some more*
When I discovered I had testicular cancer, they not only did a radical testicular removal, they also irradiated my groin area.
Thanks for the advice.
Holy Moly!! You never cease to amaze me!!
Hey. If you're reading this. Have a great day 😊. Thanks for the lessons
Thank you! We generally try to read as many comments as we can during the first hour of launching the video, so we got to read this one. Have a great day as well!
That sounds terribly painful and like a possible inguinal nerve entrapment.
Chronic idiopathic male pain. I share in your pain. Having a testicular reattachment surgery reduced my overall pain; I had apparently been experiencing microtorsions, which I didn't even know were a thing.
Likeswise
Can you explain how your testicles are? Because i know i have torsion on my right one due to being kicked hard on the inside of my leg then my testicle playing soccer. I had pain for 3 hours straight with nausea and this was 4 years ago now. To this day i only have moderate pain when i workout my legs or ejaculate more than once every 2 weeks or so. Pretty weird but i do have a lump on it, its bigger than before and it sits slightly higher than normal
Thank you bro that was helpful with my studies
Glad it helped!
Strategy
The Barbarians are a great option to use against enemy troops such as tanks and medium size pushes as the Barbarians have a moderate amount of hitpoints and damage, and are perfect for attacks with other tanks.
You are so right! 9 seconds in and I already had a ton of questions!
