- Hey all and welcome. Today I am continuing to fight against the taboos associated with asking for help from a food bank and showing you all what help we got. Hope you enjoy the video. I also hope it helps to show that you shouldn't be afraid to ask for help or be embarrassed to do so. Having food in your belly is more important!

That's an awesome food bank haul! I had no idea the food bank had such variety! In my area I see alot of people complaining about the lack of selection with food bank items! I'm glad to know this might not be accurate

Just found your channel. Wow , that is a good amount of food !! Plus good items ! I am in Oklahoma, we don’t get that good of a haul ! Hope you all feel better soon . I believe there is a bread recipe that calls for all bran . God bless .

Thanks and I remember growing up people made you feel bad for going to a food bank.. And those kids are now adults and need to see there is no shame or embarrassment in asking for help! They may not be at the one you at bit they definitely going to one. I been there hun, we used to walk with our momma to the food bank around the corner from where we leave. We walked the food back home and cooked, the same kids that talked about me and my family. The momma was sitting next to my momma at the food bank getting their boxes for their kids also. Great video, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with supplying for your family in any means available. My parents taught me that...we use to frequent yard sales, thrift shops and during community clean out days, drive around with a trailer to pick through the good stuff people are throwing out. We don't know each others situations but we can come together and say thing are dang expensive!
I grew up the same way and i was embarrassed at first then i was like why so i decided to help others not be too 💚
First time I have seen a pantry haul from Canada just got home from one thru a Church program that I volunteer at. Interesting to see what others are getting . I volunteer at two different ones and what they get to give out is different.
Yeah I have seen a lot of pantry hauls from the states but none from Canada myself… and it is very interesting to see what others get in other parts of the world and how different and similar they can be… 💚

Almond butter is basically akin to peanut butter but ground almonds!

I wonder if they do any substitutions for people with dietary issues. I know that all the white bread and sugary stuff would wreak havoc with my diabetes. Fortunately, my family hasn't had to use the food bank in many years, so now I try to give back as much as I can. By the way, the almond butter is usually about twice the price of peanut butter, so enjoy it while you can.
Yes on the intake form it asks about dietary restrictions or health issues so they can make sure you don't get anything that can harm you.. And that's amazing.. We give back whenever we can too... And I will enjoy the almond butter while I can! 💚💚

You got a great haul. I've had to use food banks and I've never gotten fresh fruit, vegetables or meat before. It's always pasta, tuna, peanut butter and beans. Where do you go to get the food you get?
The food bank we have in the town we live near is run by our province which is the one we use... We only have the one here... Welcome to the family! 💚
