Thank you for this helpful review! I appreciate that you demonstrated on multiple apps to show how the pens performed.
I mostly will use it for note taking and analysis of microscope slides, counting dots a specific size and selecting areas. The Adonit ink will suffice for that purpose and save me some money thanks for the review.

As I've mentioned prior, my negative experience with Adonit (both the Jot product and their customer service) keeps me from recommending anything by them. Your review, however, is as excellent as always - thorough and unbiased, which is why I watched. Always good stuff on your channel! :)

Now we can see that the handwriting is affected by Adonit (there is a small lag causing the distorted handwriting). That could be a problem for my work. Will stick with Surface Pen.

Which one would you recommend for a Lenovo ideacentre touchscreen desktop?
I've used Adonit pens in the past (one with an iPad and one with an Android tablet), and I want to love them, but they both just stopped working very soon after I'd bought them. I find it interesting that the Ink Pro is the same price as the Surface pen. I'd have expected that a third party pen would be used if one couldn't afford the Surface pen but still wanted something reliable to draw with.
That's the thing I don't like about styluses with built in batteries. They can fail. I have Adonit styluses that fail because of battery problems
I think wacom should come out with a stylus that is use on all touch screen pcs or laptops.

I got an HP Pavilion 360 and I've been having trouble finding a good artistic stylus for it and I was thinking about grabbing one of these for it, do you think this would be a good buy or do you know of something better for it? I'd really like to have something that has pressure sensitivity and palm rejection.

Life Saver! My Surface Pen stopped working with my Surface Pro 4, and no matter what instructions I try from the web, just won't work. I tried purchasing the new Surface pen too, but still won't work (Fortunately, the merchant was kind and refunded me. The new pen worked fine with the test Surface Pro 7 at the store.)

It's only meant to work with Microsoft Surface devices. So I don't think it will work with other brands.

I have the Samsung tab A 10.1 without s pen. It's the TM 580 model, I was wondering if there's compatible smart stylus for it or can you use only rubber and disc tip stylus with it?

Hi - I have a question, there are lots of portable touchscreen monitors coming out these days. I am just thinking, is it okay to get one of these and buy a proper stylus for sketching/painting. Will this setup work? Basically - in summary, is it all to do with the stylus/pen/pencils capability? or the display needs to be compatible for sketching?
It’s best to look for the official stylus that’s supported by your device. Third party stylus usually don’t work as well

I have a SP3 but I hate the pen.
It feels like plastic, it's too slippery on the screen.
Is Adonit pen "slippery" too or not?
It's the same as the SP3 pen because the tip is still hard plastic. If you want a less slippery pen, you can consider the new Surface Pro 2017 which has a felt tip. The SP4 pen also has a felt tip. The matte felt tip offers more control.

Hey, I have a pro ipad of 9.7 but I'm not an artist or design .. for web use, MS office and some notes; which adonit do you tell me, mark, dash 2 or snap?
iPad Pro? Get the Apple Pencil. It's so much better than the others. If you have limited budget, then Adonit Dash 3.

This is an active pen, not capacitive. It's has the hover mode. As for compatibility with your device, check adonit.net for the full list.

Initial activation force? You need to apply slight pressure just like the Surface Pen.
Would it work with Krita?
It works but there is no pressure sensitivity and palm rejection

Not sure about that. Maybe check Adonit's website for the compatibility list. Anyway, for iPad Pro, Apple Pencil is the best. Better to just save up a bit more to get the Apple Pencil. Or check out the refurbished section of Apple's website to see if they sell refurbished Apple Pencil.

I know of Samsung s pen only which works with the tablet. But the pen is very bulky. I saw your review on the pen too. It's looks are same as Wacom intuis.

Is my surface pen broke or something? I have to apply at least some pressure just to in order to first activate the pressure. The IAF isn't like my Wacom pen. If I can make just light strokes like he's doing here, that would be great! Cause otherwise, I just get a bunch of lines ending and starting at random and it's freaking driving me nuts >_
Surface Pen does have higher IAF than Wacom. So you will have to apply some pressure.
@@teohyc That is unfortunate. This tends to screw me up a lot when I try to sketch on the tablet. I ended up leaving a bunch of random cut off lines. I draw pretty lightly you see :P
the Adonit stylus has at most 1024 levels of pressure, possibly less. Compared to the Surface Pen with its 4096 levels of pressure. So naturally it will have more jitter, and obvious line thickness differences in use, because there are larger changes in line thickness at each pressure level.I'd say the Adonit passes for handwriting and note taking but would reccomend a higher end stylus for actual art purposes.
do all pens with pressure level 4096 work on all laptops that support MPP? either 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0?

Does anybody use Squid for note taking on Windows?
Squid is a good app for taking notes. But recently after the Windows update, it crashes when I open a page. Personally I like Wacom Bamboo Paper because it captures my handwriting more accurately

+simranpalsingh kohli Tablet? I would avoid anything tablet that runs iOS and Android if you want to do a lot of video editing. So the options left are the Windows tablets, Surface Pro, Miix 510, or the upcoming Acer Switch 7. But it is better to get a laptop because they have better and larger screens.

I am highly pissed and disappointed. I went on the Adonit Website and they stated that the adonit ink works specifically with windows devices. So based on that information I bought it seeing as though I have a samsung windows powered tablet. To my surprise the pen is not working. Which now means I have to go through the hassle of sending the pen back. I will never buy from them again because they falsely advertise their merchandise.
Alexis McClain Samsung devices use Wacom digitisers, so you're pretty much only able to use wacom pens. The Adonit Ink is an N-Trig pen designed for MS, ASUS, HP and I believe Lenovo.

sk the Staedtler Noris Digital works on Windows on Samsung devices that support it..... even better then the Apple Pencil in my opinion.

4096 pen pressure drawing board I have one of it.
But this pen is not 4096, it's feel like 256 or 128 for me i said. Very light touch in photoshop will causing hell lots of dots and multiple touch in one tap. Dont buy it
