Just an Outstanding Athlete! She is both fast and quick, and her footwork is often overlooked---A+. As they say, her moves break ankles. Think about the terrible start she and this team had, and where they are now. Fix the 4 spot and they will be one of the best in the W.
Football (the real one) is great for footwork and spatial perception. Volleyball is great for timing on blocks and reaction time overall. I think playing both sports would help basketball players male or female A LOT! Should be mandatory for young BB talents! A good example is Steve Nash. He was also a brilliant football player. And Luka also played football. Not for long, but he did. What do both have in common? They can process the field faster then most others and have a great awareness where everyone is at any time... thats football. Oh, and they have great footwork of course.
There sure are a lot of similarities in basketball and soccer (timing, strategizing (play making), competing and fundamental skills of dribbling, running, vision, shooting, passing, and teamwork). The difference between the two is in bb you have to play both offense and defense. When you get older as a soccer player, you specialize as a forward, midfielder or defender. My guess is that Clark played as forward based on the number of goals she had as mentioned. However, I can now see why people think her face-to-face defensive skills are not as strong. Her strength is offense like that of a quarterback.
I'm a hockey coach and I make my players watch her. She is the queen of square court/field sports. She gets all the pieces moving, gets the D shifting, and hits people in a place that makes their lives very easy. That's what I want my players to emulate on the ice...make it easy for everyone else. I compare her to Gretzky. But I doubt she can skate...but maybe I'd be surprised?
Kobe Bryant, Tony Kukoc, Luka Doncic... A lot of great BB players, specially from europe, have a backround in football. I think Kerr once even said if he wold rule the US BB youth system, he would demand that every BB player has to play football as well.
She can hit, hit for power, throw, run and catch really well. She played some baseball, too. Great swing and strong arm! No lie. After their last home game, CC was firing gifts up into the stands, like, really looking like Jeter!
Between basketball, soccer and golf CC is an athletic unicorn. So happy we get to see her go out every week and ball out
Not just soccer, if she decided to focus on golf instead she would've been on LPGA..she's that good//
She has referenced her soccer experience when speaking about her basketball passing skills and recognizing "angles".
Steve Nash played soccer too. CC is also said to be good at golf.
Soccer was the perfect conditioning for basketball season!!

Magbegor would be great
It just makes me smile to watch her play!
That’s why she doesn’t need unrivaled league , she can practice her skill on many other ways to keep herself on shape for the year.
She used to do track as a kid. She did say she loves sprinting

Imagine Lebron as a striker. That size, speed and athleticism. Scary. Always wanted to seem him in the NFL but on the pitch would be comical
I have being saying that , she played soccer and was a star but decided to focus on basketball!!
Fun facts about Caitlin!
Steve Nash played soccer, I think.
No wonder she plays a similar style of basketball like Nash

He owns part of a women’s soccer team now, former standout soccer player
There's a womens pro soccer league in US, the NWSL that a lot people don't know about. They don't get much exposure.
