Please don’t use your dog biscuits dry as they then swell up in the carps stomachs possibly causing damage. Pre soak the feed biscuits so they are swollen when the carp take them. I use hot water soaking them for about 5-10 minutes then drain. You can also add flavourings to the water which increases the attraction. By changing the flavours you avoid ‘educated’ fish ignoring them !
Hi, we asked JT at the Sportfish Game Fishing Centre who said that he tends to use a faster action rod, especially as the majority of 8 weights are aimed at saltwater anglers and tend to be on the faster side. He said that it lets him lean on a fish and keep control better. We hope this helps!
Watch out Jo the cops are coming!!! nothing more exciting and frustrating to see them feed on everything around your "fly" while you will them to take yours :) Nice video - where is that Manor Farm ?
Hi sorry to be a pain but fishing with a 6wt in a carp fishery is NOT the thing to do, do Not use a 6wt the lakes have a range of sizes even the mixed lakes, 8wt + and playing fish by stripping is waiting for a snapped leader left on the fish, play off the reel's drag even small carp can make good runs, I have been flyfishing for carp for along time, the late Great John Wilson showed me in the 80's. Also most carp fisheries have a 42" landing net rule so please don't upset all the other carp fisheries, just a note: been fishing Manor Farm on the fly for over 20 years and it is great fun if done well. Please follow the rules of the lakes so it doesn't spoil it for everyone else.
Keep it simple best thing to do. Thanks for the video guys.

Would you suggest a fast action rod like comp anglers use or a more forgiving action for the Carp. Thanks
