I actually analyzed that game and it was 95.5 accuracy from hikaru vs 95.9 accuracy from that guy. I bet he was using an engine or he was a super gm in disguise like hikaru
@@mabel3989 yeah, i play the Alekhine's defence (i go from low to high 1600-low to mid1700 in 30 min chess) and u should play c6, not take. only a cheater or a weaker than 2100 player would take and take, i reckon, but idk it could well be legit
Love the fact that he explains the point difference by putting himself against alphazero! Also, "he's not doing badly though" (ends up destroying him) XD
With the magnus vs kasparov debate. Do you think it makes a difference that magnus came later and has looked at kasparov's games and learned from his ideas and, more importantly, had the opportunity to study and prepare using extremely strong engines?
Magnus benefits from the entire world of chess knowledge, kasparaov, other greats, engines, etc. So comparing them is hard, you can compare relative performance but then you have the complication of more modern players competing against a bigger world of chess players. So even if say, Fischer had the best relative performance, he was competing against less total humans trying to get good at chess. Outliers in the past are going to be more common than now.
@@DineshKumar-xq3ux I meant more Gary in his prime having the advantages of super strong engines and advancements in theory. Or, in other words, what would kasparov's rating be, given his natural talent for the game, if he was the same age as magnus.
Hi Hikaru, i only started playing chess about February this year, and after I watched your videos and learned openings and tactics, I went from 300 (that's how low and bad I went at the start) to 1300, in about 6 months. Thanks!
7:55 The public versions of AlphaStar is very severely restrained. At its max strength, without handicaps, then it would absolutely dominate. Even its limited versions peaked at like 1000 APM (Actions per minute). Just imagine a human preforming 16-17 individual actions per SECOND.
The fact that he can win with these not optimal openings at 2100 loses some of its appeal when he has been shown on camera smashing 2200s with the Botez variant of the Hippo opening
The chatter asking if Hikaru and Magnus could team up to beat AlphaZero made me want to see a match similar to Kasparov's in '99 except it's the entire world with the aid of traditional engines and unrestricted collaboration vs. AlphaZero. It could also be cool to see an AlphaZero vs. The World simultaneous event where anyone can play a game which will be used to train a version of the system to play against players of known ratings.
@@Rums0-k8j yes.. but it is because a forced move. He means that the low player will take the queen with knight after the knight fork the king and the queen, without seeing the other move which leads the checkmate

I thought the Englund was solved? I watched a video on it and haven't lost to it since. Just play into it, move the bishop back and Nf6 and there is no play left for white, a bunch of traps for black and worse case you are equal with white when the main line ends.
How many 2300s would it take to beat hikaru. Or maybe how many IMs Naka adopt a group of Anna, Levy, Rosen, Rensch, Shahade, Molina,.Trent in 15+2 rapid
8:34 doesn’t Nd1 win on the spot, threatening mate on f2. As far as I see I don’t find any defense. I checked if white has a perpetual and I think he hasn’t as Qxf5+ then Kg8 and after Qd8+, we can play Be8 ,blocking and there is no more checks
There is still bishop check. After that, the white king can go to g2 and the checkmate threat no longer exists. So it's always best to start a mate with a check instead, but it is still winning for black by a landslide of course
Nakamura just singlehandedly ended my career playing the Scotch. I refuse to be associated with noob openings. Time to move from my old faithful scotch. The Scotch is now on my black list with the London and the Scandinavian.
But, I'm looking forward to the KID course! The KID is one of my favorite openings as black and easily one of the most diverse openings chess has to offer.
I'm using the same animation style as Hikaru, but why does mine have less effect than his TAT? For example, when I capture pieces or being checked, I don't even have effect.
“This actually problematic. I’m actually in bad shape in this game. I’m down a pawn and he has the bishop pair. But I’m still going to win the game.”

30:29 Hikaru tries to do like 12 premoves but the system only goes up to 8. Opponent resigns anyway. Lol
You can do any number of premoves
🙄
hikaru should do a pre-move only speedrun
That’s probably to hard
Only issue with that is that opponents will notice he’s premoving everything and just start cheesing
people would just cheese
How about he plays blitz but only is allowed to use 15-30s of time

Hikaru plays: The Re-Upload Gambit
8:20 this whole sequence, dear god 🤣
Are you sure you are 2100? Hikaru laughs in evil 3200
It needs to be an hour long intro!!! NEVER GETS OLD!!
Wasnt this video already online before?
already saw that video before
Congrats St. Louis!!! Love the coffee chess too !
Congrats on Titled Tuesday!
Ok

Wasn't this a video already 2 days ago? ...or I went back in time ;p
Probably 3 weeks back
It was XD, but another video was uploaded a few moments later and this one taken down XD

Boris Spassky is alive, but Sveshnikov died today (18 Aug 2021).

Fell asleep watching this the other night and woke up and it was deleted and replaced with a different video 😂 glad I can finally finish it
Oppenent: You sure your 2100
Hikaru: Your about 1000 points off...
“This is just not good. I’m playing horribly.”
Proceeds to destroy every single person he plays against while multi tasking and responding to chat.

"Are you sure you're 2100?"
Even Usain Bolt has to run 60 m on the way to 100 m...
Chat: "My IQ just dropped 30 points."
Hikaru: "sorry"
Me: "it's gonna be hard going through life at -30."
37:50 the pawns on a2, b2 and c2 are all different sizes????😳😳😳
