Not every ‘backpacker’ will have the same experience as you. Just vlog safe and don’t let the growth make you take unnecessary risk for views. Bless up.
You literally said all the things I’ve been thinking the last few vlogs. These are not things most solo female travelers or backpackers would do. So it’s throwing me off just a little.
You put yourself at risk walking downtown at night! Yes, you can be held at gun point, and your phone and money taken. Jess you better listen, don't make a Fool of yourself!!!❤
Jess should also understand that the warnings on this vlog are coming from Jamaicans who would not be walking downtown at night for any reason, especially not to find out how safe it is.

Great video again. I understand your fear. You thought others would be walking seeing that's its a city, but it seems like that area is not walker friendly. Now you know.
Wow! While we all are enjoying journey and all the wonderful people you are meeting, your safety is paramount to all of your viewers. I highly recommend that you do not walk at night by yourself in Jamaica or anywhere in the world that you really don’t know! The freaks come out at night and you don’t know who will do what, chances are not recommended in this fashion. Please always walk with someone, be safe!!
When I heard you telling the restaurant lady about the name thing i was like i told you about that 😊 it's good, feeling apart of the bless up Jess family I love seeing you happy and hearing you laugh as always blessings and be safe
Hey Jess. Love your Jamaica journey. I grew up in Jamaica in the hills of Spaldings, Christiana and Mandeville. Jou should visit sometime. I will be in JA staying with family and also at Travellers Resort in Negril. Hopefully I’ll meet Throp!! … and you! April 23-26. Love!
Night market is very cool, ital dumplings, crafts. Please be cautious walking alone in the city especially, which can be safe but could go bad real quick. Would be interested in Ras Atusi, his family and their Jamaican story. Bless up.
Like lots of others have said, JA is just like anywhere else & you have to take the necessary measures to stay safe. You wouldn't get into random guys cars or be too trusting with people back home or in The West so why would JA be different? Your well being is more important than filming content.
In any country, you have to take precautions when traveling. Even in America, some cities are unsafe. For example, tourists get robbed in Atlanta at night, and not all neighborhoods in Jamaica are unsafe. You don't have to prove it by taking risks
If she is fearful, she should not be out and about in the streets alone . Most middle class Jamaicans from the Suburbs actually have their family drop them off and pick them up from events if they are not driving themselves. 3 out 10 people get punch in the face by random people in BIG BIG FIRST WORLD NEW YORK CITY ( NBC News) so it's not just Kingston.
It depends where in Kingston you are, if there's other people walking around, that's usually a good indication of how safe the area is..up town is generally safer than anywhere else..just use common sense and no flashy jewellery
Love your content. Thank you for showcasing the everyday life of our country. And yes the catcalling gets annoying. You are not in the tourist areas so especially as a woman going about your day the "psst psst" is an everyday thing. But big up yuself Jess and be safe.
This was a great watch. Enjoyed those 2 ladies at the Market Night Life. Be safe out there JEWS (Jess). BTW, I think you should get the opinion from a few of the females you have met on the island on how they view being called, hey GAL? It's a term used here but not welcomed by all. Love your channel.
I’m not even Jamaican but I’m getting tired of these ‘is it safe’, ‘what the media doesn’t show you’ videos that seem to be trending amongst RUclipsrs at the moment. Don’t put yourself in danger for a trending topic. The media is negative about any country that is not a Western country, so no one person needs to take up a mantle to disprove it when most of us know the media has an agenda. So if you would not walk around Australia at night, vlogging and asking ‘is it safe’, why do the same in JA?
This is not a trend I’m jumping on… I’m simply sharing my experience travelling here in Jamaica. Found myself walking to a night market in Kingston and vlogged about it. That’s all there is to it. Big up yourselves and yeah thanks for watching
How is it clickbait or exploitative when it’s literally just me sharing my own personal experience travelling Jamaica? I am walking to a night market at night in Kingston in my video… so how is that clickbait?
Just Subbed, but don't be putting yourself at risk cuz every country theres a good and bad areas sometimes in the good areas the bad person might be in it while you in it like bad timing, but Respect to you and much 🫶
That night market looked great. I would love to go check it out next time I'm in Kingston. A pretty young lady walking alone, at night, in a strange neighborhood, could be inviting trouble. I don't think anyone would've bothered you in the uptown community that you were in, but why tempt fate? There are shady characters in every corner of the world.
HUH JESS PLEASE dont walk at night, even going out at nigght, i was told not to by so many , u have to get taxi, the red number plate if u do, or bus full of people...u never know.. who u were with should of made sure u got home... anyway ..there always someone that tells u, or shows concern.. any country same walking alone not safe.. Bless up jess u have met great people bike bit risky but fun and they are very experience he didnt put u at risk, but drivers are not alert... long message 🤣
Jess, you got a set of brass ballz to be walking by yourself at night in Kingston. Marwa accidentally got lost in Kingston at night and he almost shat his pants.
Jamaica is not only the bad place .in your country Sydney a guy just went crazy in the mall and he stab and kill six people and several others were hurt. So don't just talk about Jamaica bad.Talk about what going in your country as well
Funny thing was I was ready to comment on the BBC news and realised the comments were turned off. I was about to comment that it's funny when these so called first world countries never like to portrait their own country as unsafe, I noticed how they quickly turned the comments off only cause it was one of their own that did the crime, now if it was a Jamaican, the amount of ish that the yts would have commented.
So i would not feel safe also walking the mall in your country. Imagine the man kill six people one time. In Jamaica one person get kill and you guys make a big deal So please talk about the crime in your country as well.
There is a thin line between Stupidity and madness. At you own risk
Jess please put your safety first at all times.

I highly recommend that you do not walk at night by yourself in Jamaica or anywhere in the world that you really don’t know! The freaks come out at night and you don’t know who will do what, chances are not recommended in this fashion. Please always walk with someone, be safe!!
BLESS UP
BUT Remember that song -I GOT A FEELING SOMEBODY WATCHING ME 😮
Nowadays that’s worldwide 👍
When I heard you telling the restaurant lady about the name thing i was like i told you about that 😊 it's good, feeling apart of the bless up Jess family I love seeing you happy and hearing you laugh as always blessings and be safe
Bless up yourself! So glad to have real ones like yourself as part of the fam 🙏🏼
@@blessupjessas long as you always keep being yourself I'll always be here one love
Hi!! Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
most people drive on those roads few people walk unless they come of a taxi or bus
The lady singing voice was 🔥.. the notes!! Whoohoo🎉😅
For real!
Love!
where in australia you from? You are probably used to the heat if you are from the top end.
Night market is very cool, ital dumplings, crafts. Please be cautious walking alone in the city especially, which can be safe but could go bad real quick. Would be interested in Ras Atusi, his family and their Jamaican story. Bless up.
❤You are very brave. I feel more courage's because of you. Everyone and anyone should be be able to go anywhere and feel good, free, and safe. 😊😂🎉❤
Like lots of others have said, JA is just like anywhere else & you have to take the necessary measures to stay safe. You wouldn't get into random guys cars or be too trusting with people back home or in The West so why would JA be different? Your well being is more important than filming content.
I do the same with bottles & tins, I also worked in retail, everyone has handled the front ones 😂😂
Be wise Jess. Don’t walk alone at night
In any country, you have to take precautions when traveling. Even in America, some cities are unsafe. For example, tourists get robbed in Atlanta at night, and not all neighborhoods in Jamaica are unsafe. You don't have to prove it by taking risks
Wow, honey I could feel your fear, be safe babe ❤
If she is fearful, she should not be out and about in the streets alone . Most middle class Jamaicans from the Suburbs actually have their family drop them off and pick them up from events if they are not driving themselves. 3 out 10 people get punch in the face by random people in BIG BIG FIRST WORLD NEW YORK CITY ( NBC News) so it's not just Kingston.
It depends where in Kingston you are, if there's other people walking around, that's usually a good indication of how safe the area is..up town is generally safer than anywhere else..just use common sense and no flashy jewellery
Keep safe and well wishes on your journey!
You love taking chances it’s not safe really
She will find out one
day. Not listening to people's advice.😮

Love your content. Thank you for showcasing the everyday life of our country. And yes the catcalling gets annoying. You are not in the tourist areas so especially as a woman going about your day the "psst psst" is an everyday thing. But big up yuself Jess and be safe.
Ginger is SO good for you! ❤🎉
I didnt know that there was a night market uptown side jah know, but now mi know and thats because of you hun😊..bless up yuhself mumma and keep safe.
Trust me dont walk back when in downtown kingston its even dangerous for us the locals
Hi Jess where in Kingston is that market it looks really good.
New Kingston
What caused the food poisoning?
Conch (sea snails)
This was a great watch. Enjoyed those 2 ladies at the Market Night Life. Be safe out there JEWS (Jess). BTW, I think you should get the opinion from a few of the females you have met on the island on how they view being called, hey GAL? It's a term used here but not welcomed by all. Love your channel.
Big up yourself Jeffrey!
Relax people, life is a chance, whether you play it safe or not...life is too short, play it to the max!
Depends on which part of Kingston, is not wise for a foreign
Respect 🇯🇲💐🔥
Hi Jess, I love it that you're a nonconformist; That you boldly go where nobody has gone before. 😊 Take care sweety. ❤
Agreed with you totally.
True you said it..this trend will soon pass...just advise she use common sense ❤
This is not a trend I’m jumping on… I’m simply sharing my experience travelling here in Jamaica. Found myself walking to a night market in Kingston and vlogged about it. That’s all there is to it. Big up yourselves and yeah thanks for watching
It's clickbait and somewhat exploitative I'm noticing with a lot of these vloggers
How is it clickbait or exploitative when it’s literally just me sharing my own personal experience travelling Jamaica? I am walking to a night market at night in Kingston in my video… so how is that clickbait?
Bless up Jess walk in faith & not fear you will be fine
@User talk sense - walk by faith yes but you have to use common sense . Come on man
Just Subbed, but don't be putting yourself at risk cuz every country theres a good and bad areas sometimes in the good areas the bad person might be in it while you in it like bad timing, but Respect to you and much 🫶
This trueeee… respect and big up yourself
Uptown really nice…the suburbs …good
That night market looked great. I would love to go check it out next time I'm in Kingston. A pretty young lady walking alone, at night, in a strange neighborhood, could be inviting trouble. I don't think anyone would've bothered you in the uptown community that you were in, but why tempt fate? There are shady characters in every corner of the world.
If we know anything about Australians they are fearless
HUH JESS PLEASE dont walk at night, even going out at nigght, i was told not to by so many , u have to get taxi, the red number plate if u do, or bus full of people...u never know.. who u were with should of made sure u got home... anyway ..there always someone that tells u, or shows concern.. any country same walking alone not safe..
Bless up jess u have met great people bike bit risky but fun and they are very experience he didnt put u at risk, but drivers are not alert... long message 🤣
You have just debunked the lies told by the yahman girls. Stay blessed Jess. One love 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️🇯🇲🇬🇧
Jess, you got a set of brass ballz to be walking by yourself at night in Kingston. Marwa accidentally got lost in Kingston at night and he almost shat his pants.
Jess u actually braver than most Jamaica lol
Jess you are making amazing videos
I appreciate the support so much! Bless up 🙏🏼
Banging banging outside 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲❤️❤️
Unfortunately, Kingston is very dark...poor maintenance of street lights
Were is that place In Kingston ?
I can't tell you what to do but I think it's better you go in Negril or Australia are somewhere in America
Don't practice walking alone at night but you will be fine
Both earrings are cute, you’ll suit them x
The earrings are BEAUTIFUL 😍
