I’m sold. That looks like the best looking solution I’ve seen yet. $1100 for the upgraded OEM replacement is just too much to put into a 20 year old truck.... at least on my budget. Plus there’s a few hours in removing & installing the new dash. Who knows what else might break along the way. Dashskins to the rescue! Thanks for posting your installation experience!! Please let us know how it’s doing! Edit: ...or how it did if you no longer have the truck.
I put mine on last year and will tell you that this is a perfect fit. My old dash was just embarrassing and barely even there. Now the thing looks like it did the day I bought it. I did use an extra tube of clear adhesive and not a single rattle. Great product buy it now!
Besides the music, I found this to be a great video. I have a 2002 and my dash skin just arrived, I appreciate you taking the time to show us your technique.
@@LNJuggernaut well if you have to take the dash out of one truck than take the dash out of your truck and put it in your truck that's alot of work plus the time. I tired to take a dash out of a junkyard I gave up. I'm going to order this cover.
I’m just throwing it out there do not use tape or anything underneath the dash cover because on really hot day the glue is going to come up over time and all that work you did prepping and taping you’ll be doing the job over again just saying for the future that’s all
Did you not notice the adhesive holding the old dash to the new? The tape is clearly to temporarily hold it til the adhesive cures. How will the adhesive hold and to what if the original dash pieces are just floating around in there.
@@Saltcracker007 it's only 600.00 for a new dash. Not sure why you would think it costs 4000. I like to fix things the right way and not put a bandaid on them.

Definitely going to give this one a try! Thanks for sharing!! New dashboards are expensive...this is much more affordable!!
Great video. Just installed mine. Perfect fit and color thanks for posting. Used gorilla tape to secure the cracked pieces

@@DashSkin excellent product! Still looks like new 3 years later.

Great job, and fit. So, how has it held up since you installed the DashSkin ?
That is impressive.
What about changing our speakers?
It looks beautiful
Hey buddy... where you get it. My dash is in the same condition. Im libe un gdl mx... but its so difficul get localy. I appreciate the info.
Mine it's like yours... All cracked up... How did it work for you?

Thank you for the video ..great job
Where did he get his skin? It looks pretty good
where they sell?? Is it a cover that goes over the one already broken?
Yes
dashskin dot com is where I got mine. 877-308-9682 is the toll free number.
so how do you get to the four speakers up by the windshield now, when they blow out?
I suggest changing them before installing the dash skin.
There are just three. Only if you have an infinity sound system
How do you clean the defrost ducts out in 03 dodge ram? Some of broken plastic and a knife fell in.
how hard is it to just replace the dash pad? in an 2003-2008 3rd gen dodge ram ? i cant seem to find a video on it
Its a true pain in the ass. This is the easiest and best route to take.
@@pagosplace3065 no its not
Its not that hard, it comes off in pieces. Make sure to use a trim pry bar and stuff when lifting it up.

Should have been a recall my next truck won't be a dodge
Mine isn't like that
Chrysler should have to replace these. This is a safety hazard in case of an accident, in my opinion.
Oh man, I could never glue down anything to my dash like that. I would just replace it.
$4000 vs $200......
Easy call

@@billychristensen6071 $4,000 is the quote I was given to replace my entire dash..... everything.
@@Saltcracker007 it’s just a few screws and it pops right off. Don’t pay someone to do it. It’s easy work! I’ve taken mine off several times.
@@Saltcracker007 yeah... I would just do it yourself. Hell you can even go to one of the places where you take it off yourself for even cheaper.
Music is TOO LOUD
Hope you never have to remove the hvac box under the dash and a auto mechanic won’t even touch it.
Shits ghetto asf
