I made the vanilla civetta bolide go to slightly above 600km/h, you could probably make the vanilla scintilla go 600km/h aswell but it depends heavily on the gearing because small changes to the gearing make massive differences edit: it took a little bit of time but I managed to top the scintilla out at 626km/h, my bolide config couldn't do that and I spent making that config for like 4 hours and this took 20 minutes at best lol
I was hoping someone would bring up the bolide! I am working on a Brain Bolide as I watch this video, and I got it to 605 kph before the wheels (yes the wheels, not the tires) exploded. I am using 15x9 Alder Dragger wheels with the smallest racing tires. And yet they detonate at high speeds. Gotta say, Civetta bolide is still king for top speed. And still, before the Bolide remaster, I got a similar Brain Bolide up to 811 kph, which is simply insane.
Every time I use a modded car, my steering wheel doesn't like them for some reason. I almost break my fingers when I use modded cars. They aren't that dangerous, though. 10/10 would recommend using this car on the real streets.
I Speedrun the game and actually most of the parts you removed (like the brakes and pedals) in the brain car don’t have any weight . Also, somehow the lightweight glass is made of exotic matter or something because it reduces the car’s weight.
Beamng's implementation of aerodynamics is from 2013, so basically very basic. It doesn't account for small changes that much, and body panels basically add no efficiency in beamng.
8:08 I remember having the same problem with the drag version of the Scintilla. What apparently solved it was making the 1st gear shorter and I suddenly went from stalling at the start line to making decent launches.
With no game mods, I got the car to be really fast with the V10 and the nonrace body. It feels great with extra-grippy tires and more power but the high-performance radiator still overheats at the top end.
There are a few things at play: 1.) At sub-sonic speeds, air resistance increases exponentially for a given body, which requires… 2.) Exponentially more power to overcome the wind resistance, with means you need… 3.) Increasing grip from the tires to transfer that increased power to the ground, which requires… 4.) More aerodynamic downforce to produce said grip, which increases… 5.) Drag even more. More speed means more drag which needs more power that needs more grip which needs more downforce which increases drag even more. It’s really hard.
The fastest I've gone is in the grand marshall drag car (modded engine obviously). Completely fine tuned the suspension myself, fattened the rear tires, lowered it, gave it as much downforce as possible, stripped the interior, and went for it. with the 4sp drag transmission, upwards of 8000 horsepower and some long gearing, i had it to 670 kph before everything started exploding.
last night I finally got my 24v cummins tuned to hit 19,800 FT. LB TQ. I didn't think i could be happier when it hit 8500 TQ, nice to see others doing serious diesel builds! Love the channel Sir, much appreciated!
Make sure your final gear ratio is low enough to enable higher speeds. If that's what you're limited by. If you can get to redline in top gear, lower it.
@@tomkocurI realize it's a year later but weight isn't "only" important for acceleration. That's where the weight differences are likely to be most noticeable, but all else being equal if you have 2 cars and the only difference between them is weight then the lighter car will likely be able to achieve a higher top speed for various reasons, but in the specific case of this game the difference in fuel consumption would probably be the biggest one. Less mass requires less energy to move meaning the vehicle will achieve better results with the same fuel. Moving 2000lbs of car vs moving 1500lbs of car doesn't seem like a big difference, but if a significant portion of your equation is 25% smaller then it changes the outcome considerably.
@@Astraeus.. moving 1500lbs vs. 2000lbs car wouldn't make a big difference in fuel consumption if we're talking steady state. Getting it to move is a different story. Fuel consumption is irrelevant, the topic was top speed and what matters there is almost exclusively aerodynamics. The only relevant difference would come from rolling resistance, but at high speeds you'd need to push the car down by aero, anyway.
In automation I created a race car with a NA v12 producing 1300 hp with several versions, the top speed one is RWD and 1200kg with just enough downforce to be stable but not too much to not be air braking and it reaches 600 km/h, power isn't always the answer
It (the modded thing) consumes more fuel than a top fuel dragster and those things need a new engine, clutch, gearbox, wheels, drag chute, and basically everything else each race
Honestly, 570 no mod is not the fastest, I was able to push the gravil roamer at an incredible 800km/h removing everything to save weight, messing with the differential, even using the biggest wheel possible to influence the gear ratio even more and obviously, best engine, biggest turbo where used too
@@DarkNymph actually it is and it’s even possible to go even faster, what stopped me was the tires, they kept exploding at 800 so in theory, with better tires I could go easily to 900 km/h
I've got my modded Gavril T series going fast enough the wheels just yeet themselves off the truck... Right around the 800km/h /500MPH area, no weight reduction... Just don't use the Cement truck, because the aerodynamics make it wheelie and back flip 😂
