Are you wondering how to create dust particles with Fusion in DaVinci Resolve? Look no further, as I have a quick and easy method for you. First, import your video into the timeline. Then, navigate to the Fusion page by selecting your video and moving the play head above it. On the toolbar, add a p emitter node and a p render node. Connect the emitter to the render node, and then attach the end of the render node to the media in order to merge it with your video. Next, select the render node and go to the inspector panel. Click on the region tab and change the region to cube, adjusting the width and height to fill the entire video. Head over to the style tab and change the style to blob. Customize the color of the particles under color controls, and modify the size of the particles under size controls. For a more diverse range of particle sizes, increase the size variance. With these steps, you've successfully created dust particles using Fusion in DaVinci Resolve!
To add animation to the particles, navigate to the start of the timeline and set the number of particles to 150 in the controls tab. Click on the diamond button next to it to create a starting keyframe. Move one frame forward using the right arrow key on your keyboard and set the number of particles to 0. The particles will now stop creating over time, but they will continue to appear until frame 100. Increase the lifespan to a value higher than the composition size, like 500. This ensures that the particles will disappear after their lifespan is over. To add movement to the particles, select and add a turbulence node after the p emitter node by pressing shift + space. Adjust the strength values of the turbulence node to control the speed of the particles. Now that your dust particles are created and animated, you can go back to the edit page to continue working on your project. With these simple steps, you can quickly and efficiently create dust particles using Fusion in DaVinci Resolve.
