please make more of these!! Tutorials with integration between Mocha Pro and Davinci Resolve are very few and far between!! I would love to see a video that shows how to use the new 3D camera solver in Davinci Resolve/Fusion
Finally, seeing fusion being use sounds great. I hope they can give the same treatment as after effects on all of their plug ins, so we can also interact with 3d cameras and stuff on Fusion.
Can you keep a secret? No? Neither can I. Here's a sneak peek of the Mocha 3D Camera Solve data inside of Fusion video : ruclips.net/video/XtRPkQHKqOY/видео.html
This made me think that if these same functions (mesh import with textures) are available for after effects, BorisFX would be achieving what all vfx artists have been asking for years: a good way to do projection mapping inside after effects.
What is the difference between this method and the one that only uses the Mocha Pro insert module? In this example, could Power Mesh have been applied within the insert module?
You can use this method to do procedural updates to your insert, for example if you were painting with references to previous frames. Or if you needed access to 3D-specific features in Fusion such as material replacement or 3D lighting. In this example, the Insert module could have been used because Ben was just projecting a single clean frame into the image.
We do show some of that workflow in other videos. Export the camera solve from Mocha Pro to FBX and then you can follow along from here : ruclips.net/video/Oft_grQtSx0/видео.htmlsi=T127vGP_oTZ-CXvz&t=816
What's hilarious is that about 15 years ago, I had to turn down a potential client because he needed a logo replaced on a shirt in a series of educational videos. With what I had available at that time (AE), it would have taken me hundreds of hours, and his budget wouldn't have handled it. So I told him to just reshoot the video. Maybe I should call him....
Thank you! I know you guys give a lot of AfterEffects love but I do appreciate the Mocha - Fusion tutorials. Keep them coming
Absolutely we will. There's so much you can do with Fusion. It's high on our To Do tutorial list. Thanks for watching.

Would be nice. The new versions of After Effects are getting better 3D support, so a variant of this technique should be viable at some point soon.
Does your mocha pro plug-in in DaVinci Resolve work in Fusion Studio? , hope to hear back from you , contemplating buying Mocha for this , Thanks!
Yes. Fusion is a fully supported host for Mocha Pro OFX.
Perfect!!! Thank you!!!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.

Haha! Yes, it's a lot easier to handle those shots now. Time to invent that time machine and get the job.
