just imagine the amount of time this person has spent his time with a 3D software to create this animation....his design is really inexplicable...instead of complaining what's necessary....just admire his hard work....
I'd like to see animation of how the entire mechanism works while braking, and how the parking brake automatically self adjusts. Reading about it is not the same, it sounds really interesting how both shoes rotate with the wheel, offering a mechanical advantage without locking up.
Also, when you loosen or tighten the wheel nuts on a five-stud wheel, loosen / tighten the nuts following a star pattern (loosen/tighten every other nut). Loosening/tightening the nuts uin a pentagon pattern as shown here is not recommended.
nice, its good to have animation like this for working on cars with the addition to having a mechanic doing it in front of the camera. especially for amateurs like me. thx for the upload and hope u produce more :)
Important point---most of the time these days, you have to back off the shoes from their extended wear position inorder to remove the hub. And, sometimes the hub gets frozen to the wheel due to metal corrosion around the wheel bolts. Either case makes it really fustrating to start the work. Usually--when someone wants to access the shoes, one or both of the above problems exist.
the animation basically shows this, u have the car on the floor first, loosen the lug nuts, jack it up, then fully remove the lug nuts. if you dont have air tools, this is the safe and proper way to remove the lug nuts. if you try removing them while the car is lifted up, its just not as safe.
Sir my car make squeaking noise from rear wheels when brake is applied. This happens only when the car is sitting over 7 hours of time. The sound goes away after repeated used of the brake pedal like 4 times or less. And, no issues with braking while driving!!! During parking time for over 7 hours gear is engage, hand brake too. The moment the car is took out and brake is pressed, such irritating noise comes from the rear. There are no physical worn on brake parts including the brake shoe.
3:25 If and only if you are masochist, remove the handbrake cable. On most times, the shoes can be replaced without removing this cable. This spring is VERY hard to remove and reinstall.
This was informative, but still I had to dislike. 1,5 mins of taking off the tire. It wasn't the main topic of this video so that's just way too long. Also I think everyone looking at this knows how to take off the tire. Also that fancy spinning animation on every part was completely unnececcary
That's what you call a Mexican Speed wrench ay ya yay, arriba arriba andale compadre yiiii ja! have proper tools but nothing beats speed like needle node pliers and regular pliers.
Nice animation but holy crap. The first min and thirty seconds dragged on forever!!! Did u really have to show every lug nut?!?! And sooooo slow? Nice video though.
the cable pulls on the bottom, way up top is a pivot point that it "swings" off of, which is attached to the one shoe, ah nevemind the leg bones connected to the but someone does need to include the operation of the e brake cable specifically in one of these vids, i know what your saying hard to explain
Sorry mate but this video is just silly.....1m30s to watch a wheel come off was irrelevant, stick to the topic at hand and leave out the fancy spinning of every component. I loved the graphics / imagery though, just not presented very well.

Extremely informative, thanks! The tire coming off segment was annoyingly long, but we can skip forward in videos of course.
at the end of the video, I felt like two years have gone past me.

I hate doing drum brakes, but great video.
wonderful explained to brake replacement material.
Make it stop, I'm about to take my own life.
1 minute of this video shows how to unscrew the five bolts
Why only upper part of the brake liner contacts drum?
The invisible man is a mechanic? I didn't know that!
3:01 That spring has serious corrosion problems

probably an animation done in solidjerks.
on no
@@ImranShamsul dont you dare talk about solidworks
@Joseph7033 that was just loosening them before it was off the ground

Thanks very so much ,
This is called animated unboxing.
The first minute and a half are useless. I am aware of the function of threaded fasteners.

if the parking brake cable is pulled the brake shoe is drawn away from the drum how is it activated !?
+Johnny Saint A levering effect (The lever removed at the very end of the video)

Very good information. That, for give us the right way to do so. Do not be angry. You really do the right. Much greatful.
if only my tools could do that, "Look Ma', No Hands!" great animation. where's the audio? that's my only complaint. I Like, OLE!
Great video!!
Which software is used to make this video???
OMG get each damn lugnut off already! speed it up here!
Excellent.
Very Quiqly
i heard you get better gas mileage with drums vs disc , true?
Good
what program do you use to get it ?
Way to much spinning to the parts.. i say only spin if necessary to show the reverse side of the part.
veeeeeeery good
Nice video
I wish my drum pulls off like that but unfortunately it doesn't?
Optimus Prime no one's does

agreed
The spinning was too much for me
what software is used for creation of this video and animation in it.? please suggest me.
good but very slow
Its freaking bizarre videos.
