    I discovered using styrofoam and hot wire foam factory tools probably 10-15 years ago. I love those tools!! I have been doing Christmas Villages for a while now but not anything as amazing as your Halloween villages! I don’t have all that much space so I have to do what I can but I love getting all the wonderful ideas!! Your fountain is so cool! You are so creative!! Thank you for sharing!

    Awesome girl!!!! Ya I'm out of room too. Totally did an over haul of my village and platforms this year and guess what...again out of room but my village is about 90 percent done. Will finish it in the next 2 days though. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SPOOKY TIME OF YEAR and Totally wait in anticipation for what you come up with next.

    I just love that you set up the Pumpkin Patch as its own display and was shocked that you purchased more buildings🤣🤣🤣🤣. You have really showcased your fountain. Love the idea of draping the cloth to the floor to hide boxes and cords. I can't wait to see the other village/villages.

    This is so pretty and inspiring. I got my first peice this year. The Carnaval Barker. So i wanted to make a werewolf town that seperates all the different werewolf centered peices in an area. The park/fair, homes, down town, and woods. Considering how little their is for werewolf centered peices that isnt all the classic monsters hanging out. Your ideas for making filler will deffently fill up a lit of empty space. Thanks again.

    oh thank you honey. You’re so wonderful. I’m outside right now. I have my Halloween decorations for the outside that I’m working on listening to you and watching your video while I put my big black Gothic Halloween metal arch up. OK I’m spray painting it black again because I’ve had it for 18 years at least and it’s really cool as a big cut metal pumpkin over the top of the arch big spike arrows going upward and it says welcome anyways that’s my big metal arch. I’m working on. I can’t wait to start working on the inside. I’m getting inspired and getting ideas from you thank you and happy Halloween. Happy Halloween happy Samhain!

    Very cool! I have 90, but Christmas! I like using picks as trees and bushes. Have you used woodland scenics products for ground cover? I carve holes in my platforms to run the cords through. Hot wire tools are the best, but you are so right, you have to go slow! Have you gotten the adaptors for your buildings? You can then plug everything in. I use a timer, so it comes on automatically. (My husband sets it up though!)😂

    • @KelleyDoesStuff
      @KelleyDoesStuff  2 месяца назад

      I love woodland scenics! They have some great ground cover. Lots of different textures and varieties. Timers are such a good idea. I really need to put this display on a timer. I smacked my head on the piano yesterday trying to crawl under it to flip on the surge protector. 🤕😂

    • @obsessedwith_christmas

      @@KelleyDoesStuff yes ma'am! I use surge protectors and light cors from Amazon that have multiple bulbs on on one cord. One has 15 bulbs, so I can put 15 houses on one cord. 😁
      And you reminded me I have to carve channels underneath my platforms so they do sit flat! I do want to try the airbrite system. Have you thought about it?

    I really like the look (type of mossy grass) of the lemax mats but I find they create a mess and dont last long term. Do you have any suggestions to create the same look with glued down moss/grass? Regular moss is just so chunky.

    • @KelleyDoesStuff
      @KelleyDoesStuff  2 месяца назад +1

      I do!! Loose moss is great for ground cover. It takes just a bit of work. Break it up into small bits. I just do it by hand, but a scissor would work and maybe even some type of blender or food ninja thing that you no longer use in the kitchen (I haven’t tried this but I think it could work!) Grab big handfuls and hot glue them to your foam base (use much bigger handfuls than what you actually want on the base to protect your hands from the hot glue, then when it cools you can pull of the excess.) If you’re going to include any trees in your display that have a base to them, you may want to mark off those areas on your foam and avoid gluing moss in those areas so that way the tree base will sit on an even surface. If, after you glue the moss, you have any long wild pieces sticking up you can trim those down with a scissor. For long term durability and to prevent the moss from
      shedding you can spray it first with rubbing alcohol, then spray with a water glue mixture (I have not done this, but I’ve seen people do this and say it works).
