My favourite player of all time. Loved screaming at him when I was 10 years old as he was coming up the race onto etihad stadium back in the good old days of the saints.... 2010! Great guest to have on. Honestly one of the best human beings in football history.
when Nick Reiwoldt finished his career i was in tears. I cant imagine the pain of being the player in the greatest team and not winning that elusive fnal
felt. But as a fan i know the heartache and the pain i feel. I grew up as a young man only a few months younger then rooey so i feel me and him had the same career span.
Just his way more succesfull lol...But wow those years from the moorabbin group its so hard to put this together because i felt those years defined me as an adult
but also left a bitter taste in my mouth. But rooey you will always be a legend in my world. I just wish i could have met you mate.
I hope St kilda get up one day!

You can see how it would be easy for Rooey to get himself so tightly wound up with his approach to life, you know? Everything you do either brings you closer to who you want to be, or further away. It's a lot of pressure, but it's absolutely the attitude of a 'tryer'

Great podcast as always. But I would just refrain on saying on ‘most people do this’ or ‘hate when people do that’. Eg when people you mentioned. That people lie about being happy about missing the premiership. I won’t name names but you have had players on the podcast that have missed on premierships saying they are content. Just some feedback. Keep up the good work.
