Greatest grand final ever, never have we seen two genuine killer teams put each other to the sword like that, Geelong and St Kilda were killers in 09 and the game was a tooth and nail fight.
Rooey in my humble opinion would have to be one of, if not THE greatest player (in the AFL era) to have ever missed out on winning a flag, his career speaks for itself really.
@@duanecameronson how is that laughable. Probably the most factual comment I have seen. Willed is side to win in huge games all the time, not to mention his resume
Horrible, horrible day for Saints supporters. Collectively 97/09/10 has actually depleted my love of the game from the 2011 season onwards. Once it was finally reality that the Saints window was over it was quite depressing as a supporter. That group of players should have won a flag. I think 09 is the one that really did get away, so many blown opportunities in that game. 🔴⚪️⚫️
I feel you, my attendance really dropped off after about 2012, going to 1 or 2 games a year. But feeling that wave coming back up now with the kids coming through the club, there's something to it. Whether it's 2028, 2030, whenever we get over the hump, we are going to go absolutely mental! I think neutral fans would cry, let alone us.
I’m a pies supporter BUT I wanted nick to get he’s premiership. Sorry for 2010. No not sarcastic lol. I’m glad pies won but still felt bad for nick. I would have cried like a baby if pies had lost 😂😂.

@@duanecameronson laughable? 300+ games, 700+ goals, 5x All Australian, 6x BnF winner, need I say more?

It's in my top three Grand finals of the 2000's.
One of the great games ever
To lead after the first, second and third quarter and not win had to be shattering
Not only leading but dominating around the ground. Just not finishing the work to be leading by enough.
Not only that game, but in the whole season they had only lost two games by a total of 7 points.
2009 is the only time that has happened since 1984, when Essendon overran the Hawks

If it wasnt for injuries they could have easily got up in 04/05 too

Riewoldt deserved a flag
@@duanecameronson talking out your ass 😂
@@duanecameronson ??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No deserving it, all there is is earning it- Nathan Buckley
I've watched it 1000 times
Saints fan? hahahahah
Coming from a pies supporter since 06 the saints were a dangerous strong team in 08,09 and 10 should’ve 1 out of the 2 gfs I reckon
I might watch it again now
Gotta love Rooey
Riewoldt was a great great player but he is dangerously wound up and unable to enjoy being in the moment.
Roo is a God
