With all due respect to the author, I've tried several of his westerns, and his post-apocalypse series, the Ashes series, as far back as late 80's. But never liked any of them. Found far superior western writers, as well as post-apocalypse writers. James Axler, (a pseudonym for several writers), is one of the best series of mutants running amok in the 30-year-run of Deathlands. Pulpy action-filled adventure that was extremely popular for a long, long time. Jonathan Frakes, actor & director of Star Trek, is directing 10 episodes of Deathlands, and if done properly, not like the shitty old Scyfy channel, it would be HUGE!
