The 17 Elements of Prayer were given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ to show us how to continually draw closer to the Father. As prayer is both a privilege and an obligation, Christians are encouraged to approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and grace in times of need. Christians must pray to keep their relationship with Divinity alive because Christianity is a relationship and not a religion. They must also persevere in this process to receive power over temptation and sins. For these reasons, they should know how to do it. So the Lord Jesus gives them a model of how to use this opportunity effectively. This is the third calling of a Christian which has been prepared in advance by God as an imperative to fulfill (Ephesians 2:10).
Les 17 éléments de prière nous ont été donnés par le Seigneur Jésus-Christ pour nous montrer comment nous rapprocher continuellement du Père. Comme la prière est à la fois un privilège et une obligation, les chrétiens sont encouragés à s’approcher du trône de la grâce pour recevoir miséricorde et grâce en cas de besoin. Les chrétiens doivent prier pour maintenir vivante leur relation avec la Divinité, car le christianisme est une relation et non une religion. Ils doivent également persévérer dans ce processus pour recevoir le pouvoir sur la tentation et les péchés. Pour ces raisons, ils devraient savoir comment le faire. Le Seigneur Jésus leur donne donc un modèle sur la façon d’utiliser efficacement cette opportunité.
