Oh my Lord, I am on an Arne & Carlos marathon, my goal this year is to watch all of your videos. The two of you are a wealth of information, thank you for sharing everything you do.
My favorite of all is the one Arne knitted and showed in this video. The one with the ugly rib. I love the color combination , the square neck and the lines with bits of colorwork. I find it very delicate and it absolutely inspered me to knit one for me with those elements, but in diferent silhoutte. Lots of love from Lisbon!!!
Adore Arnie’s grandmothers sweater, the one with the 3/4 sleeves but also love Carlos’s favorite sweater that’s in need of cleaning. I love how serious Carlos can be when Arne is giggling, makes me smile.
I like Arne's great-grandfather's sweater and the sweater Arne is wearing. The GGF sweater I would knit for my grandsons and the other, for my sons. Love this whole series. Thank you. I would not have thought of finding inspiration at second-hand shops. You may have created a monster!
Thank you so much for sharing your sweaters. I love your burgundy version of the white sweater you found in Paris. Arnie’s knitting and his grandmother’s knitted sweaters are amazing.
Another classic episode....making my corona virus recovery so much easier. My favourite sweater so far is the black and red and cream sweater Carlos was wearing in episode One ( I think). The one that you got in America! It’s not easy to choose as each piece is so beautiful.
Hi Arne and Carlos, I like the sweater Arne knitted, the grey and yellow one; I really like the block colours, and the pattern along the bottom is gorgeous! I also like the pattern on the brown/cream/mustard '30s jumper, I should love to knit that in different colours, it'd be great!
All beautiful but I thought the mustard/brown was so striking, I LOVE Arne's grandpa's sweater but my fav from this vid is the one Arne knitted when he was milking cows. Another fun video - I say it every time but I just love you both. xo
Hi Arne and Carlos, Just wanted to say hello. I've been watching and enjoying your vlogs over the past few months. I love your collection of sweaters and your designs, and how you talk and share with people. What great talent you both have.
Hello lovely Arne and Carlos so wonderful to see you both again. You made me giggle today Arne as you were very mischievous whilst Carlos was talking. I adore the Pippi Longstocking sweater, my third son who is now 47 was a huge fan of the show and his daughters are also fans of the books. I also loved your great grandfather’s cardigan Arne, it must be a gorgeous feeling to own something your family wore so long ago and know that it was hand knitted with so much love. I also love your coffee stained sweater Carlos and I really like the fact that all your sweaters are worn and enjoyed which is how they should be. Well Arne and Carlos I enjoyed every one of these videos and learned so much, thank you both. I hope you have a lovely week ahead. Sending you both hugs and loves as always. Dorothy (U.K.) 🙋🏻😘❤️xxxxxxxx
Thanks for your lovely comments, as usual! We enjoy reading them. Yes, we are lucky that we get to take care of all this beautiful knits. The white and blue sweater is going to be cleaned tomorrow morning.
My favorite was in episode 2..Arne's multi-color double-knit sweater using many remnants of yarn. I love these 'Into the closet" videos! Thanks for sharing. Love to you both!
OMG... 12:30. Startlingly wonderful! Arne, you were so talented, even then... and love your grandfather's jacket/sweater. You definitely saved the best for last. I'm of Norwegian heritage, and Scottish. I learned a few foods and words but other than that, I'm not informed on the sweaters, but love to learn from you two.
Hello, So many beautiful sweaters! My 2 favourites ( Far too difficult to pick just one) are Arne's Grandmothers and his Grandfather's grey jacket. So beautifully knitted too. Thank you for sharing. x
I am coming very late to this video, but still have to comment. My very favourite was Arne's grandmother's Black and White sweater from the first video, but I also love the simplicity of the Icelander and your Icelander variation. I can't be the only person who has watched these videos with knitter's graph paper and pencils beside me, and keeping pausing to sketch the patterns.
Hi Arne and Carlos! What beautiful sweaters! I love them all; too hard to choose a favorite. The workmanship in each sweater is stunning. I enjoy the stories behind each sweater , making each one special! Although I don't live in a cold weather city, I enjoy knitting and watching you guys teaching all of us to be better knitters. Thank you. Mary from sunny South Florida, USA
Grandfather's Banked sweater is my favorite from this collection. Sunday doesn't come around often enough, I look forward to watching and learning from you both. Thank you
Thanks for your feed back! The sweater's name is actually Bengt, - I know, it's complicated when you have those 3 vowels: n g t together, without any consonants in between... our language is very weird...
I am an admirer of these beautiful sweaters and love learning about them even though I don't knit. Pilling and stains happen ! Thanks for letting us know it's ok!
It's almost impossible to choose just one! I very much like the 'space reindeer' sweater Carlos is wearing in this episode (#3), but I think Bengt may be my favorite. I love the design, the neckline, the buttons... Thank you for the tour of your collection. I love hearing the history of the different designs, and also the stories behind the inspiration for your own designs.
I have to agree with Carlos on the lovely pattern on the last sweater (I believe Arne's grandfather's sweater?) it is such a lovely, serene and very neat little pattern! xoxo
I love to go to my surrounding thrift shops looking for sweaters. Sometimes you can find plain sweaters with lovely wool yarn that you can recycle into beautiful color work or shawls. I love the space reindeer! Awesome!!
I like the one Arne made, the shape of the neck line is great not one you see often. And I also like the one with the earthy colours. Actually I just love all of the jumpers and cardigans in you collection. Thank you for preserving vintage knitwear. I wish I still had all the wonderful knitwear my mother made. Can't wait for the next episode.
Arne's grandmother's favorite sweater (black and white) from the first video is my favorite, although I also love her barn sweater from the second video and grandfather's sweater from this video. Carlo's favorite sweater reminds me of my favorite sweater as a teen in the '80s. I reminds me that I can redesign and have it again! I should go dig out some pictures.
I love ALL the sweaters, but I particularly like the one Carlos is wearing and all of the ones knitted by Arne and his grandmother (or great-grandmother).
love the lemon brown an cream grandpa's cardigan is beautiful an also the black pattered one which you have wore an may i say really looks lovely on you. I've got to say you both ware some really fab knit ware.
Even before you asked for our favorite, I knew mine. I like the pullover Arne handknit from scraps (that has the very short ribbing). I like the color combinations, especially knowing that quantities were limited because they were scraps.
I love the grandpapa's sweater the best as it seems so very traditional. How do you preserve them and how are you going to clean the coffee spots on your favorite sweater Carlos? So enjoy these Sunday videos. Thank you so much!
I love the yellow and brown sweater! And i loved pippi longstockings!! Actually i love all the sweaters you showed today. I have a good collection myself of vintage sweaters i've found at thrift stores. Great episode thank you guys!
I made many Scandinavian style sweaters in the 70’s for my family. I made a dancing girl and boy style for myself. Sadly when I opened my cedar chest a few years ago I found moths. I was able to save the one I made my husband with bears on it. If I figure out how to post it I will. I should have been more aggressive in saving these beautiful sweaters I knit. I love how you made a patch work out of a few sweaters.
I love the reindeer space invader sweater. Would be an awesome Christmas sweater. But I love them all and your sweater collection videos are my favourite.
My very favorite is the red sweater that Carlos is wearing in the first vintage knitwear video. I am knitting the birds and love seeing it from that book. You mention fine Norwegian yarn is key to durability. We in the US only have access to Rauma and that is usually what I knit with for Norwegian patterns. What yarn weight and what gauge would you estimate is used in the knitted jackets that you admire most in your collection? Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful pieces and the stories that accompany. I keep a knitting journal of all my projects so that the future users will have reference.
HEJ, jag tycker bäst om den som Arne gjorde som liten, plus Carlos favorit fiskare tröjan. Finns det mönster på den senare. Tack för era trevliga videos. Hälsningar, Ingrid.🇸🇪
They are all lovely, however I do really like Carlos' favourite and the one with red, black and white that Arne likes because it reminds me of a sweater I had as a young child gifted to me by my Swedish grandmother. I don't think she knit it as she was an avid gardener but it may have been purchased in Norway.
Your great grandfather’s jacket is my favorite. The style of wearing a waist jacket with pants that actually come up to your waist is a fashion I miss and we should all go back to. The lower neck line is nice too.
I know it wasn’t considered archive maybe but Carlos sweater with that space reindeer I just adore that pattern design Stunning and genius! I really like the different neck shape on arnes cow milking sweater... I can’t believe that’s just left over yarn too just amazing I also really like the Carlos favorite sweater with the coffee stains ... that boy pattern with the garter stitch eyes that color design and bonus texture from the two stitches very very cool 🖤❤️🖤
Actually, that space reindeer sweater also belongs to the archives. Our archive consists of vintage knitwear that we collect and that we haven't designed or manufactured as well as all the designs that we have made in the past, wither for hand knit or industrially. We have even designed real life bicycles and wine labels, which are also in our archives. Thanks for watching!
I love Bengt the most and the jacket Arne is wearing. I'm very traditional, so I like the traditional jackets the most. I also wear a lot of Norwegian jackets that I bought in Norway or knitted myself, also for my children en grandchildren...
I like Arne’s grandfather’s sweater, but as he said it is a bit short. It’s from a time when men’s pants were high-waisted and vests and sweaters barely cover the belt. Now we like them longer to cover the “muffin tops” around the waistline. I also like the button front jacket found in the Paris thrift shop. The Icelandic is another favorite... I bought one from the Norway Shop three weeks ago except it is charcoal with a white pattern. Have just become a new subscriber.
Ok I can’t pick just one lol...but Ep 1- “Grandmothers Sweater” is first pick because of its beauty but also the history, and shows her creativity ( I love the collar)and how she utilized it as it wore out to milk the cows... something to treasure for sure. Episode 3- Arne’s leftover sweater (short waistband), I love the colors.....and pattern, the collar is unique and gives it a comfortable, less heavy look without losing its look of warmth. I think it’s very unique, creative, beautiful, and tells us just how much you love to knit :) Growing up in the 70’s, my Mom being a working, single Mother to 4 children we shared our clothes whether they fit or not. I remember when I was around 12yrs old (1982”ish” lol) very poorly “taking in” the inseam of my sisters (5yrs older) corduroy pants with a needle and thread (an inch between each stitch 😆) the evening before school so they would fit my legs, and then removing the stitches before I returned them to her. I had forgotten that until watching and hearing your family history with these sweaters.... I sure wish my Mom would have had time to teach us to sew as she had to for her clothing growing up... She never was taught to knit, so she is impressed that I try lol.... Thank you for this series, it was great to watch.
Thanks for your feed back! The sweater's name is actually Bengt, - I know, it's complicated when you have those 3 vowels: n g t together, without any consonants in between... our language is very weird...
I love the woolrich colors and balance, would love to have a pattern for that. I also love the mustard and brown and would love to do knit that one as well. Beautiful dishes on the wall!
Thanks for your feedback! unfortunately, we won't release a pattern for the Woolrich sweater or any of the originals in our collection, as they have not been designed by us originally.
Favorite sweaters-- Maihaugen and Blue Mountain (Blafjell is the google search name but unfortunately I don't speak Norwegian so not sure about the translation). Honestly, each sweater has its own interesting characteristics. Hoping to see more!
Oh my Lord, I am on an Arne & Carlos marathon, my goal this year is to watch all of your videos. The two of you are a wealth of information, thank you for sharing everything you do.
I love Arne's expressions and little comments while Carlos is talking. I love you guys!
Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
Arne's grandmothers barn sweater is my favorite. Such a talented woman
My favorites are Arne's grandfather and grandmother's sweaters. You two are wonderful. I'm so happy to have found you. Thank you.
Thank goodness for RUclips’s random suggestions! What a peaceful corner of youtube, subscribed and thank you for your lovely videos.
Thank you Paula!
Adore Arnie’s grandmothers sweater, the one with the 3/4 sleeves but also love Carlos’s favorite sweater that’s in need of cleaning. I love how serious Carlos can be when Arne is giggling, makes me smile.
You two are such my favorite living-a-knitting lifestyle people! I am so happy to have met you at Webs and heard your talk! I so love your work!!!!!
I like Arne's great-grandfather's sweater and the sweater Arne is wearing. The GGF sweater I would knit for my grandsons and the other, for my sons. Love this whole series. Thank you. I would not have thought of finding inspiration at second-hand shops. You may have created a monster!
Well, vintage shopping is good for our earth! Good luck hunting for some treasures in the future.
@@ARNECARLOS Thank you.
They are all beautiful, colourful and knitted lovely. Thanks for sharing with us. Can't pick a favourite.
Anne's grandmother's barn sweater from Part 2 is still my favorite! I wish I had that pattern. Great videos!
I would love that pattern too!
I am amazed how you speak of these beautiful sweaters being worn in the barn!
I love all the sweaters. Especially the hand knits.
Thank you Phyllis, do you have some vintage knitwear?
Thank you so much for sharing your sweaters. I love your burgundy version of the white sweater you found in Paris. Arnie’s knitting and his grandmother’s knitted sweaters are amazing.
You are welcome Barbara.
Another classic episode....making my corona virus recovery so much easier.
My favourite sweater so far is the black and red and cream sweater Carlos was wearing in episode One ( I think). The one that you got in America! It’s not easy to choose as each piece is so beautiful.
Very true!
Beautiful sweaters. Love watching sweater series.
Great, there will be another one in the near future!
I love the blue and white one that so many of Arne’s family have worn. What a treasure!
Thank you Mary!
I love everything you have shown us. You are so very talented!
Thank you Frances!
All beautiful but I thought the mustard/brown was so striking, I LOVE Arne's grandpa's sweater but my fav from this vid is the one Arne knitted when he was milking cows. Another fun video - I say it every time but I just love you both. xo
Thanks for your lovely feedback! Glad you enjoy tuning in every Sunday!
Hi Arne and Carlos, Just wanted to say hello. I've been watching and enjoying your vlogs over the past few months. I love your collection of sweaters and your designs, and how you talk and share with people. What great talent you both have.
Thank you Mark!
The grandfather sweaters are my favorites. I love the patterns and dark colors on them.
Thank you!
I love the one Arne knitted on the mountain!!. : )
Hello lovely Arne and Carlos so wonderful to see you both again. You made me giggle today Arne as you were very mischievous whilst Carlos was talking.
My favorite is Arne’s grandfathers sweater. But really, they’re all beautiful. Thank you for sharing your treasures.
we agree it's difficult to choose. We feel lucky to be able to take care of these sweaters and try to preserve them as best as we can.
Such beautiful sweaters. No favorites, all wonderful!
All so lovely, but that Pippi Longstocking sweater. The color and pattern are just gorgeous.
OMG... 12:30. Startlingly wonderful! Arne, you were so talented, even then... and love your grandfather's jacket/sweater. You definitely saved the best for last. Love both Carlos fav sweater and Arne's grandfathers jacket.. gorgeous.
Many thanks for your wonderfully entertaining and informative videos... xxx
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching!
I LOVE the one Arne made!

Thank you for commenting Sue and we are glad that you liked the episode.
Arne’s Grandfather’s sweater stole my heart and I also like the worker pattern of Carlos’ favorite sweater.
Hi Arne and Carlos! What beautiful sweaters! I love them all; too hard to choose a favorite. The workmanship in each sweater is stunning. I love Arne's grandmother's green sweater, and the yellow and brown sweater Arne chose at the end. But they're all lovely!
My favorite sweater
Arne’s grandmother’s green sweater
Love the colors.
Thank you!
Hi, I love the green barn sweater the most!
I am an admirer of these beautiful sweaters and love learning about them even though I don't knit. Pilling and stains happen ! Thanks for letting us know it's ok!
Thank you for watching!
The family sweaters are so AWESOME! Priceless indeed! Great craftsmen.
It's almost impossible to choose just one! I very much like the 'space reindeer' sweater Carlos is wearing in this episode (#3), but I think Bengt may be my favorite. I love the design, the neckline, the buttons... Thank you for the tour of your collection. I just LOVE that Space Reindeer!
Last sweater is awesome. It must be old and the stitches are amazing !!!
All love yours vintage sweaters,I love them all
I have to agree with Carlos on the lovely pattern on the last sweater (I believe Arne's grandfather's sweater?) it is such a lovely, serene and very neat little pattern! xoxo
I really like your grandfather's sweater! I would wear that!!!

Thanks for you feedback. We love hunting for the good stuff at thrift stores!
By far my favorite is the Arne Milks the Cow sweater, so simple, beautiful colors, made at a special time of life amongst the cows....
Carlos, I think my favorite sweater is the same as you picked. I love that you took something old and used it for inspiration. Love you both
I never fully appreciated heirloom knitted items. I certainly do now. Thanks guys.
I love the sweater Arne is wearing😊
Hands down my favorite is the very last one. The pattern is exceptional!
I love them all and the stories that go with each one.
Suzi Q Yes, we agree that the stories that do with the sweaters are a very important part of the collection! Thanks is for watching!

Thank you, we are very proud of our collection!
Your videos are a delight and an education in knitting history and design . I love hearing your personal stories . Thank you xx
Thank you so much!
i was thinking the same thing about the preserving/cleaning process...specifically getting stains out of handknits/woolens and safe storage
I think i am starstruck, love everything about this channel!
Thank you! What type of tutorial is your favourite?
@@ARNECARLOS Thanks for replying, I love the videos where you show your collection of sweaters!
The blue and white sweater worn by Arne when he was a boy! I would love to make that one.
Really loved all The sweaters but my favourite is cream roll neck with black pattern! Xx 😘
Thank you!
I like every sweater! Thank you for sharing your treasures.
Thanks for your comment!
I love the yellow and brown sweater! And i loved pippi longstockings!!
Actually i love all the sweaters you showed today. I have a good collection myself of vintage sweaters i've found at thrift stores. Great episode thank you guys!
You are very welcome!
Well they all are fantastic! But I love the Red & black of Arnes favorites, along with the milking cows sweater.
I love that the Sweater is used! You guys are wonderful and so creative. Have an awesome day. 😍😍😍
We are glad to hear you were able to save them!
I love the reindeer space invader sweater. Would be an awesome Christmas sweater. But I love them all and your sweater collection videos are my favourite.
My favorite sweater is Arne's great grandfather's sweater. That 1940s style is very nice.
I like the mustard/brown sweater. It reminds me of skiing.
I keep a knitting journal of all my projects so that the future users will have reference.
thanks guys love your videos and I especially love the sweater that Carlos is wearing
They are all so beautiful, I can`t decide or pick a favourite. Wonderful works of art. All favourites :-)
My favorite is the gold and brown sweater...I don't know if it's the colors or the pattern, but it has a 1940's/50's vibe that I really like.
We definitely agree that the style with a waist jacket and pants is really nice!
I know it wasn’t considered archive maybe but Carlos sweater with that space reindeer I just adore that pattern design
Stunning and genius!
I really like the different neck shape on arnes cow milking sweater... I can’t believe that’s just left over yarn too just amazing
I also really like the Carlos favorite sweater with the coffee stains ... that boy pattern with the garter stitch eyes that color design and bonus texture from the two stitches very very cool
🖤❤️🖤

Great sweaters. I particularly like your version of the Icelandic.
Thank you!
Your sweater and also the red one are best
I have this copy of Keitodama! This is a great sweater, and a great series on your vintage knitwear collection, thank you.
loved the Carlos' sweater.
Hey guys, amazing pieces! Would you do more podcasts-like-videos? They are so cool to listen!
I love the yellow and brown sweater the best.
Thank you!
My favorite one is the sweater Arne made, the green, gray and light yellow striped one.
My favourite in this'll video ( cos ive not seen all yet) is that coffee coloured one with the damaged collar.🥰
Yes, it is very beautiful.
Love the yellow , brown and white sweater (one of Arne's fav's)
My favorite is the black and white with red. I love the sharp contrast.
Agree the contrasting colours make it really nice!
I love Bengt the most and the jacket Arne is wearing. I'm very traditional, so I like the traditional jackets the most. I also wear a lot of Norwegian jackets that I bought in Norway or knitted myself, also for my children en grandchildren...
I love Arnes brownish amber colors. 1 of his three favorite toward the end
Thank you Gail!
I haven't played Space Invaders in over 2 decades. :) Telling your age! I loved Pippi when I was a kid. And Heidi too!
I think it’s very unique, creative, beautiful, and tells us just how much you love to knit :)
Growing up in the 70’s, my Mom being a working, single Mother to 4 children we shared our clothes whether they fit or not.
ARNE & CARLOS I understood completely, I was just saying that if the patterns were available it would be great to have the patterns!
Favorite sweaters-- Maihaugen and Blue Mountain (Blafjell is the google search name but unfortunately I don't speak Norwegian so not sure about the translation). Honestly, each sweater has its own interesting characteristics. Hoping to see more!
Blue Mountain is absolutely correct! Thanks for watching!!
Love Arne's grandfather's sweater. The short style from the 40s is very reminiscent of the bomber jackets from the same era.
The Sweaters are gorgeous but my favorite is the sweater in the shades of brown.
