    In this video MUNA share their production tips and songwriting process.
    MUNA is an LA-based dark electro-pop band consisting of Katie Gavin, Josette Maskin, and Naomi McPherson. Having met in college in 2013, their collaboration began on an experimental note and evolved toward hooky electronic pop. In the summer of 2014, they self-released their debut EP, More Perfect. Its success led to RCA Records signing them in the US and Columbia Records in the UK. RCA released their self-produced EP, Loudspeaker in May 2016. Their debut full-length album, About U, was released in 2017 and their sophomore album, Saves the World in 2019.
    NPR described their music as, "what pop might sound like if it was made by punks, and what relatability could feel like to people who have always felt different. It soars and sinks, questions and answers. Like the band who makes it, the music itself seems to find solidarity in difference."
    The magic of their productions lies in their collaborative process. They make sounds that are catchy while adding a dark, emotive quality that's uniquely theirs. Their unique ability to manipulate sounds into hooks, experiment on the go, and tap into their intuitive feelings when making decisions has captured the attention of many. And now you can use their custom sounds made just for this pack in your productions.

      Hey Splice, the mixing on this video is a bit rough. At times the music is drowning out the voice, or the voice is epically loud.

    bands need a member that has a background in production so bad to move the music further.

    • @Alpha-Andromeda
      @Alpha-Andromeda 4 года назад

      What they need is to zone in on what “their sound” is. Sometimes the vocals sound like something out of Florence and the Machine other times like something else. Sometimes the beat is really clean, sometimes the layering is like a lot of noise.
      So whomever comes in (as a sound engineer as has been proposed by a comment below) needs to be someone who can help them figure out their unique sound DNA. 🧬
      It’s THERE but then not there.
      If that’s what the “background in production member” that you’re recommending does then that’s welcome, but if they just come to impose them that’s obviously not what they need.
      From the body-language in their interview, I’m not sure the members of this band work well together. It’s like the girl in blue is the general and the others a bit willing, a bit unwilling soldiers.
      Having someone else in the team can make it feel less like a tug of war for you three. 🍀
      We love ❤️ seeing talented women in music, especially electronic music.
      Good luck!! 🌟

      @@Alpha-Andromeda Nobody can tell an artist or band how they have to produce their own music. To have sucess does not exist a formula for that, it's question of trying, having discipline, patience. This have to be natural, the best thing is to not put too much effort
