- This week @space4girls_global was honored to have an insightful conversation with Joe Landon, CEO of Crescent Space, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary. Joe has an extensive background in the space industry, including his current role as CEO of Crescent Space, a Lockheed subsidiary where he is building a team to deploy communications and mobility infrastructure at the Moon. Prior to this, he served as Vice President & General Manager of Lunar Infrastructure Services at Lockheed Martin, responsible for the company's space exploration strategy, growth, strategy, and R&D for Lockheed’s Commercial Civil Space line of business.
Before joining Lockheed Martin, Joe was CFO of Planetary Resources, a company focused on expanding Earth’s economy into the solar system through the development and use of resources found in space. He also co-founded Space Angels, the leading source of capital for early-stage space ventures.
Joe's extensive knowledge and experience in the industry have earned him recognition as a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Space, an Associate Fellow of AIAA, and a Member of the International Academy of Astronautics. He holds a BS in Engineering Physics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
