They rarely go out just to take a walk and explore around the neighbourhood. If they want to go “jalan-jalan”, they would usually go somewhere nice like the mall, theme park, a resort, or a museum like Monas

Pelangi village as not as big as you thought Dale, you already out from pelangi at 6:50. But their village is coincided. Randusari village. The cemetery was so hugeeee, i can say maybe the biggest cemetery in Java. It's called Bergota. It's so huge so it divided by name like Bergota Krajan, Bergota Krakal, etc (my grandpa and his family buried in there, and my home was not even near, 15km from there). If u made kampung pelangi for your only destination in semarang I think its bad idea cause that's not represent of semarang much, better you go to lawang sewu, its about 1km from there and you can walk by that. Yea government write that place for tourism (kampung pleangi) but it doesn't look like it right. They just have normal live there. I hope u visiting semarang again and go to other destination!! PS : U just pass my ex's home Dale, and that's make me emotional. You are right about how crazy guys bring that bike in slippy and slide down road, yep I've ever fall from that road when I ride with my ex. It didn't end well for my bike and my legs. Anyway... try to visit Kalimantan. Even Indonesia has its own Maldives Island there. Its name is Maratua Island, in Derawan Islands, Berau, East Kalimantan. I'd say it's a slightly expensive (exclusive) trip, but it's well worth the experience and adventure you'll have there. You will have your own beach right behind your inn! You can snorkel, feed the fish, even fishing on the public dock. Not far from there, you can also spend your time to see the turtle breeding grounds on Sangalaki Island, and if you're lucky you can also release the turtles into the sea. You can also swim with rare Jellyfish on Kakaban Island, and try diving in a lake whose vibes are like the entrance to the world of Avatar, it's called Halo Tabung Lake. This lake is hidden in the middle of a dense forest. Maratua Island is still natural, even if you walk along the village streets there you will still meet Monkeys, Snakes, and Monitor Lizards. Even Crabs also crawl along the land or on the beach sand. And what is certain is that the people are friendly, you can feel comfortable interacting with them. And the most important part is that place is still not too crowded by foreign tourists.

Inside the city, you can visit Kota Lama (Old City), Lawang Sewu (thousand door), Sam Poo Kong Temple. If you are a naturalist, you can come to the Gedong Songo Temple (i love to suggest this), Lake Rawa Pening (via Bukit Cinta), and waterfalls in the Ungaran or Kopeng area. Or if you personally want to go on a religious place, you can also visit Gua Maria Kerep Ambarawa (The Cave of Virgin Mary, Kerep Ambarawa)

Inside the city, you can visit Kota Lama (Old City), Lawang Sewu (thousand door), Sam Poo Kong Temple. If you are a naturalist, you can come to the Gedong Songo Temple (i love to suggest this), Lake Rawa Pening (via Bukit Cinta), and waterfalls in the Ungaran or Kopeng area. Or if you personally want to go on a religious place, you can also visit Gua Maria Kerep Ambarawa (The Cave of Virgin Mary, Kerep Ambarawa)
