  • A simple way to paint watercolor clouds.
    I'm experimenting with a new video editor. My old Surface Pro bit the dust and I can no longer use the windows movie maker. Plus I'm still working out the kinks on my mini video set-up.
    ** Now selling my paintings on Ebay **

    PEN: A Pigma Micron pen, 005 nib.
    I love the Pigma Micron pens. Unfortunately, I'm so heavy handed that I destroy the felt nibs in less than an hour of sketching. If you're using Pigma pens, without this issue, I recommend you stick with them.
    PAPER: Size- 5"x7"
    Arches 140lb Cold Press Paper for this Video.
    My papers of choice include Arches and Fabriano 140lb Hot press and Cold press paper and Strathmore 500 series Sketchbooks. All are 100% cotton rag.
    For beginners, I recommend starting with a high quality paper and experimenting with different types. As your style develops, you'll get a feel for which type is best. Waiting to switch to a better quality paper later will be much like learning to paint all over again.
    BRUSH:
    A Polar Flo 1/2 inch flat brush is my current favorite. The bristles were originally white but have become stained.
    A Currys brand #3 round.
    Music: "From dusk to dawn", "At a distance", "I tell my piano", "Love conquers all" and "Manana"

    That is absolutely adorable. Thank you for showing me how to use my Micron pens and if I could do that sky I would be over the moon.

    I love your sky ... well, the whole painting actually. I have used a number of fountain pens for sketching over the past couple of years but kept coming back to the Pigma Micron pens and now use them exclusively. I've noticed that you've changed some colours in your palette, especially noticeable is the Hunter's Green for Sap Green. I can't use Sap Green since I have a chemical sensitivity to PY150 so I'm always on the lookout for a good non-granulating green. May I ask which brand of Hunter's Green you use?
    Thanks for a lovely video. Patricia

    • @waymire01
      @waymire01 3 года назад

      Pretty much every brands formula of sap green is different. The majority do not use PY150. Sennelier, Schmincke, Winsor and Newton, Da Vinci and M. Graham for an example. I've never seen a hunter's green watercolor.. I think he meant hookers green. Tons of people have asked but he never responds.

    Can you give a little hint about „Hunter green“ ? I can‘t find it anywhere. 🤷🏻

    • @katepanthera7265
      @katepanthera7265 3 года назад +1

      I'm thinking that it looks like a deep sap green or maybe chromium oxide (Dan Smith and a couple other companies make this.)
