    "Being young is expensive" is how I remember that time when I was young and never had the money I needed. But I still managed to save, and today I would say "Being older is when I need very few new things and don't worry about money". I hope your plan works out as well as mine did 🤩

    Maddy I thought I was the only one that thought of cost per wear! I've been doing this as a student and even now with my full time job I continue to do it. I find that's one of the BIGGEST tip when it comes to saving money, but also getting a better looking/more concise wardrobe to fit your style

    Great tip with cost per wear mindset for buying clothes! Especially when you're young! Looking back clothes shopping wasted too much over the years for me I think! 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣👍...

    Are you looking for a real graduate job? or are you just going to be an influencer?

    • @macerly
      @macerly  2 года назад +38

      Considering I’m working 8+ hours every day (including most weekends) managing 6 different accounts on social media, I rent an office, and even have an employee (that I pay myself through my company) helping me out, I would say being an “influencer” is as real of a graduate job as any. ❤️

    My tip for saving money is don't ever live in London.
    There are plenty of amazing places in the world to live but London is not one of them, it's just too expensive and the salaries are too low. When you compare the costs of living in different cities you have to take into account the salaries. There are a few other cities that are almost as expensive as London but they have much higher salaries.
    Try, Berlin or Amsterdam, or if you want somewhere quiet Zurich, but just don't live in London.

    • @k7450
      @k7450 Год назад

      Berlin, Amsterdam and Zurich are all equally as expensive as London, maybe even more so. This is terrible advice. There are thousands of cheap cities in Europe and none of them are the ones you listed 🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @matthewbaynham6286
      @matthewbaynham6286 Год назад

      @@k7450 Wrong Zurich has about the same costs for housing as London but the salaries are about 4 times higher. (I lived there for 6 years).
      Amsterdam and Berlin are much cheaper.
      The centre of Amsterdam costs a tiny fraction of what London does for accommodation. Amsterdam is also a much smaller city so it's very easy to find very cheap accommodation on the edge although the salaries are a little bit lower the difference doesn't balance out Amsterdam is much more affordable than London. (I lived in Amsterdam for 2 years).
      People in Berlin complain that accommodation is expensive but they are only comparing what it use to cost years ago when all of Berlin lived in poverty. The prices have risen a lot over the years but it still does not come close to London prices. The salaries are a little lower than London but again it doesn't balance out Berlin is much more affordable than London. (I lived in Berlin for 3 years).
      I mentioned the cities I know well because I lived in them for a few years.

      Or maybe a smaller town near London, so you could work in London and go back home on the same day.
