When competitors are studying the game, particularly at the lower and intermediate levels, popping up the ball is a recurrent topic. Why, in YOUR opinion, do you pop the ball? In this video, we discuss the two most common causes of players popping the ball and show you exactly how to correct it. Extra shots in play equals more points for you! "Why do I pop up the ball?" is among the most frequent questions we receive. People who have played pickleball for years but still struggle with some crucial swing mechanics frequently ask for this topic.

Great video-thanks! I’d like to see a video about how to prevent pop-ups when doing a block volley.
Awesome, you’re entered into the giveaway! Thanks for watching! We love when our friends like you share our videos to help support the channel. Would love any exposure you could give us! ❤️
I’m having a terrible time with pop ups so I will try and practice a lighter grip
and watching the pace of the ball. Thanks!
Best video so far on RUclips about this topic. I would like to see a video on how to handle fast balls that come towards your body or your dominant side. Thank you.
Awesome, you’re entered into the giveaway! Thanks for watching! We love when our friends like you share our videos to help support the channel. Would love any exposure you could give us! ❤️
Would like a video on team movement and positioning. For example, my partner executes an OK 3rd shot drop and I advance towards kitchen. My partner decides to it wasn't a great 3rd shot and stays back. The 4th shot comes down the middle.
This is the video I needed. I need to stop popping it up. I'm getting better, but I notice when I start getting tired... There it goes and I set up my opponent. Maybe a video on double back hand? I feel so awkward doing it.
Ok, this was very helpful. I watched your awesome spin serve video and wondered if you could also do a "how to return spin serves" video.
Excellent format - short videos on one issue that simple adjustments can correct. I see many players spike balls into the net. How about a vid on proper spike shots.
Great advice for reducing the number of pop-ups

Make a video on when to enter a hands battle versus when to just reset a ball that has been sped up.
great video I am a beginner with a tennis background
Great video! Would love to see a video about your top 10 drills...
Great video and drills, exactly all the things I repeat in my head….loose grip, small swing, hit in front, etc.
Any tips on how to spike back a high ball?
Great information. How bout video on the player ratings? How are they determined ?

Love the help o pop ups. Need to work on my lobs can you help?

Great tips. Thanks!

When to chose a third shot drive instead of a third shot drop, please
I would love to see a video on how to get the correct form for baseline drives! Also it would be great to see a video on the different ways to take advantage of pop-ups. ☺️
You got it!
How best to deal with a lob especially if you are very short like me - 5'1''.
I'd like to see a video on working well with a partner.
Communication
Talk before you play. One player should call whose ball it is. I use, me, you, a lot. Not perfect but it helps.
Do you have lead on your paddle or the paddle just have electric tape n it from being scraped on the ground.
Serve variety drills
Serving tils
I play a very tall player who is also a 5.0 singles player. I n a doubles setting, he gets to everything. Any idea of a weakness to tall players?
how to move backwards
Excellent video, ty. Would like to see singles strategies, particularly 2nd and 3rd shot. Ideal ball placement on those shots?
Sounds good! You can definitely practice this on the Dink Pad: enhancepickleball.com/collections/products/products/enhancepickleball-dinkpad

I get killed on this a few times a game. Please help me correct it. I’ll be able to get to a ball which was well placed, like a diagonal dink. But my momentum takes me off the court for a split second. And my opponent hits ball right in spot where I should be(if they’re smart😊) I’m a new subscriber, and I like your demos and easy explanations. Thanks.
i am getting now where I am thinking "drop shot" before I serve so I can be ready to place the drop no matter what the return of serve is. So I need to work on techniques of hitting push drops, top spin drops, etc. Any training in this area would be great.
Please help with backhand
Can you make a video on How to's for tennis players on the pickle ball court? When I get into an intense Pickleball game, I tend to resort back to playing tennis on the pickle court. Can you give pointers on how to get rid of bad habits of tennis players on the pickleball court?
I would like to see a video about defending the right area of the court in the event of overheads coming from the opponents in doubles play.
Great video! I’d love to hear some tips for battling nerves as a new competitor in tournament play.
Pros/cons of changing grips during play.
Awesome, you’re entered into the giveaway! Thanks for watching! We love when our friends like you share our videos to help support the channel. Would love any exposure you could give us! ❤️
Hit through the ball when it comes to you and if it goes out it goes out rather then just blocking the ball when returning hoping it won't get smacked back. Or lob it over the person
Jordan when a server hits with sidespin should I return on first bounce or move back..wait until spin happens then return?
It took me a while to realize that the cause of my popups is not usually the angle of the paddle. It is the power of the return. To drop a reset into the kitchen you need to have high arc on the ball, peaking close to your own NVZ line so it descends into the kitchen. The only difference between the two is velocity.
Helpful video. Would like to see a video about how to return lobs.
Need help with Doubles strategies and drills please. Excellent videos. Love the detailed instructions along with the visuals, wrong and right ways to execute the shot. Well done.
Doubles strategy builds on itself and is not usually very short. Try this one by Helle Sparre starting about the 20 min mark. ruclips.net/video/6wYF_rIAFmE/видео.html
Great video 👍, I’d like to see a video of how the player ratings works
Thanks for the idea!
Good stuff as always. For heaven's sake change the tape on that paddle edge. It looks worse than mine. Lol
HAHA!
This is a great video! Our group was just talking this morning about how to avoid pop-ups. Perfect timing!
One video idea might be a compilation video covering all your drill. My friends and I are having a drilling session tomorrow before our regular pickle ball time.
I send your videos to all my friends and tell them to Subscribe!

Great vid.
I like how you discussed a couple options for handling dinks at your feet, one for folks with good mobility and another for those will less mobility.
If you haven’t covered this already, an idea would be for returning serves so you can get to the net quickly.
Just this morning, I heard someone say they stand inside the court so the can move up easier, but our opponents took advantage by hitting deep at their feet which was very difficult to return.
If they started a couple steps behind the line and got their momentum going forward while the ball was in the air, they’d be able to return a deep ball and continue up to the kitchen much easier, even with reduced mobility.

Up next: mental games and strategies for putting pressure on opponents
I’d like to see a video about last minute fixes before a tournament. 😅
How to get to and play the lob? I too often can get to the lob but do not know the probabilities of how to return.

I sometimes close my eyes when the ball is coming on fast. Any suggestions?

Pickleball is my first racket/paddle sport. How should I learn to do backhand, with one hand or two hands?
Awesome, you’re entered into the giveaway! Thanks for watching! We love when our friends like you share our videos to help support the channel. Would love any exposure you could give us! ❤️
Continental grip is best, but a common paddle grip is placing the index finger on the back of the paddle face. Would like to see a video about how to cope with that or just stop gripping like that. Ifs harder than “just stop it.” Thank you.
I would like to see how to better handle net balls. Not sure if there's any trick as it just makes you change strategy on the fly.

Next video…flicks at the kitchen!
Very helpful tips. I find every time I try to do a drop shot towards the centre of the court, but I often get creamed because the returning player will punch the ball back. I'm able to do cross court dink, but struggle with centre dinks. Any tips?
just an idea for future video...after surgery with paddle arm i had to temporarily learn to play lefty...it was during this time my learning of errors and mechanics was magnified..i no longer could rely on previous natural ability and athleticism...so i would advise for serious students to play with their weak side for 2 -4 weeks and really try to improve taking notice of errors and why their happening...something i never did previously..this brought about fixes, changes and quicker improvements than i ever would have noticed playing with my dominant arm..and my confidence greatly grew also..i cant wait to fully recover and get back to playing righty having new knowledge and greater confidence..anyway..just an idea..hopefully a good one

I just found the video in how to improve my stroke. Also I came up with the idea that you should do videos about quizzes with a timer on, or if it is social media just the quizzes. Again thanks for this useful information that you give us with these videos, they really helped my the first day I played the game.
I’d like to see a video showing how to see if you have kept your opponent back or not without losing sight of the ball coming toward you. Thanks.
I'd like to see a video on how to puilt spin on the ball and why can't I do it? What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for the idea!
When should you take the ball out of the air? It seems like in this video, the ball was at your feet. Thanks! I would love a strategy video for doubles also.
Been trying to understand this as well.
If you can take the ball out of the air, you should. If it’s too low, this is where u need to pivot back.
@@EnhancePickleball I think he's asking where you draw the line between the volley dink and the pivot. In my personal experience the volley dink is only useful for unexpected direction or rhythm changes, or if the ball is sitting up higher you can go for a winner with some topspin.
I would love to see a video on strategy when the opponents are hitting everything to my teammate. It can be so discouraging for that player.
A video on how to warm up before a match.
One of the most relevant videos I have seen yet. Thank you! I'd like a video with a little more specific descriptions on the ratings. Especially looking at the improvements needed to move from 3.5 to 4.5.
Love your videos! And that wall dink pad is AWESOME! I do need that! I'd like a video on how to top or low spin the ball. Thanks!
Can you show me how to serve as a beginner
Did you say to keep your backhand grip straight? I thought the backhand was supposed to be cocked? I will say when I cock my wrist it seems like I am more tight with my swing.
keep it loose!
@@EnhancePickleball thanks
I would love some videos on doubles strategy. I find the better I get at strategy the faster my hands appear to be.
I'de like to see more videos on spin shots! I find it difficult to add them in with enough power to get them over the net?!😊
Would love to see a video on roll volleys.
