What a lovely resin. I have the Momento Zero Grande but not the smaller Momento Zero. The fit and finish is wonderful. I do miss the original grip section. That you can fill the converter by removing the blind cap is a nice option but then uou cannot see the fill of the converter. It is like a making a cartridge converter work like a piston filler.
Leonardo should be complemented for keeping their prices reasonable, not like some other Italian pen manufacturers.
    Great review David.

I saw you at the DC pen show in the Maker’s room (I heard your voice first) and I was too starstruck to even say hello!

Very nice review and pen. I have a few Leonardos and they are among my favourite pens. Just a note on the name: Foresta Umbra (capital U) actually is a forest in northern Puglia, in the Gargano area, it's the proper noun for the forest, not an adjective referring to Umbria. In fact, in this case Umbra is the archaic form of the word ''ombra' (shadow) which referred to how thick and luscious the trees of the forest are.

That is a beautiful, very arboreal resin. Thank you for sharing it with us! And Sabimidori is one of my all-time favourite inks. It has great cool colour tones undergirded with warmer red and browns. It’s an appropriate choice for the complexity of the resin.

We enjoyed the presentation. Loved the family picture on Longs Peak. On being quarantined in Minnesota, you forgot to mention that you missed attending the 1980 LA Olympics,

Thank you for another great video! Maybe send a photo of the box to the University of California, Davis (or Berkeley) Botany or Forestry departments, they may be able to tell you about trees on the box.

Only one thing: foresta umbra is not located in Umbria, but in Puglia way more south than shown. Bye

Why oh why do I see so many nice pens, after the DC show? Don't they know we don't have the funds? 😅

One thing I'm fairly embarrassed to admit is that I dislike almost all resin swirl type pens. I think too much time in the DnD space seeing the same techniques for cheap dice has cheapened it for me. This is perhaps the _only_ resin swirl pen that I truly like the look of. The colour scheme is hugely mature and classy.
This is personal taste of course.
Actually wait I just had a theory. I think maybe such fun swirly designs are popular because a lot of the fountain pen hobby is occupied by buisnessy people, so perhaps the fun designs are a way to bring some visual appeal in to their business lives while still remaining in professional dress. I'm thinking of the shirt and tie type jobs. But myself? I'm a trans lesbian game designer! I wear whacky shit every day! Yesterday I was wearing green overalls with an embroidered kookaburra on the front with a bright yellow jacket! I dress myself _down_ with my pens. My pen and stationary give my otherwise fairly juvenile outfit some much needed class and refinement.
