Turbofuel is good these days because you can very easily upgrade it to rocket fuel later.

my tip: Set up a big fuel plant in the blue crater in the south east of the map. There you got plenty of oil, coal, sulfur and N2 which are all needed for rocket fuel

I second this. The Blue Crater is ripe for a Tfuel power plant.

From what I have learned, hold off on Turbo Fuel until you have blenders. Even with alt recipes, you end up building hundreds of machines, and this can be significantly reduced with blenders.

Im doing 80 refinery`s for heavy oil residues - 60 out of 64 blenders for fuel - to 266.6666 refinery`s for turbo fuel along with 4000 compacted coal for feeding into 666.6666 fuel power plant.

Don't worry about running out of resource nodes. Keep building big. 1.0 is more balanced than the early access. Nuclear doesn't take as much sulfur as you might think. I did about 200000MW with zero sulfur in 1.0 with alts. My nuclear plant fully recycles all waste, as one should, so it's huge.
I love your choice of recipes. That diluted packaged fuel is just over powered AF.

Use some of that smokeless powder and make yourself some explosive rebar. Those things are awesome for taking down some of the fauna, especially spitters.

U can use trains and there is better areas to do turbo fuel with someone with over 3k hours and there is a alt for turbo fuel that only takes oil and 22.5 sulfur and makes 45 turbo fuel per min

I always skip turbofuel and go straight from a big coal plant to starting my endgame rocket fuel plant.

Could always do some turbo fuel and some regular fuel.

There is also 10,800 sulfur on the full map

How do you have so many power shards?!? I’ve collected so many slugs and I wouldn’t have enough to put three shards in over 100 machines.

If you research the somersloops, that tech tree allows for item multiplication. So 1 purple slug equals 10 power shards instead of 5! It’s a fantastic thing! 😄

To explain it a bit more detail:
      1. Save your slugs in the early game, only use the few needed for unlocking nodes in the MAM.
      2. Unlock "Production Amplifier" in the Alien Technology tree of the MAM as soon as possible (right side of tree).
      3. Place a somersloop in a constructor. This will double its output without any additional input, just more power consumption.
      4. Use it for slugs, resulting in getting 2, 4, and 10 shards instead of 1, 2, and 5 for each color.
This is also very useful for getting vast quantities of alien DNA for shop points early on. Also save all of your alien remains until unlocking the Production Amplifier, use a somersloop to convert them to protein, and then again to convert that protein into DNA. This means every piece of alien remains results in x4 DNA.
