Hunting Trains In The 1940's!! Salute The 40's At The Historical Dockyard Chatham

Today we visit the annual salute the 1940's event at the historical dockyard in chatham. This event runs over the whole second weekend in September and boasts a number of visiting attractions. There's live music on the main stage through the day, number of recreations highlighting what things were like during the Second World War and of course TRAINS!! There were 3 of the dockyard railways home fleet out on display as well as a few exhibits hosted by the resident chatham model railway club.
