Thomas the Tank Engine Series was one of my oldest childhood memories and since then I love both the models and the CGI. It's a shame that the CGI Thomas and Friends series has coming to the end because I would to see continuing visiting other countries a bit more as he hasn't have a chance to visit American, Germany, France, Mexico, Berlin, and Japan as well as meeting the other engines featuring in "Thomas and Friends The Great Race" like Vinnie, Frieda, Axel, Ivan, Etienne and Carlos. But sadly it's not going to happen now no thanks to Mattel.

I love seasons 1-5 and Thomas and the magic railroad. I have a few ertl Thomas models, I have a Hornby Thomas model along with Annie and Clarabel, two open wagons with faces, two cattle vans, two Tidmouth milk tanker wagons, a tar tanker wagon and a Sodor Scrap Co wagon aswell as a few Thomas books and a Thomas vinyl record. I even have several videos here on RUclips showcasing my ertl Thomas collection, my Thomas book collection and my Hornby Thomas collection.

Why on Earth weren't all railway trackbeds protected from development? It would have cost little and made it much easier to reverse mistakes. The case of the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire railway which would be extremely useful if it could reestablish itself between the racecourse and the main station but faces numerous expensive obstacles.

Be reasonable inflation is lower than the increase in prices it's not realistic. Tbh I'm not worried about any GWR locomotive as I'm an LNER man not interested in any GWR engines

Didcot and the GWS have jumped the shark. 4079 and 2999 took 22 years to complete with double the number of funders. 4709 is a white elephant just as the county has been. But they have scraped 5 real GWR steam engines to complete one replica. Can’t fix any others because of lack of funds. What a waste

The Permanent Way seems incredibly smooth - how do they do track maintenance and yet keep that level of plant life over the track? It amazes me how they do this without making the track look immaculate! How's the upkeep of the raised track bed going? My late Girlfriend and I almost bought a house in Sittingbourne 30 years ago. Sadly she died before we could accomplish it. She was just 18 years old, but I remember her showing me the gantry track bed of this railway. One which I might once have become heavily involved with as my father taught me a love of all things steam powered! Lovely to see the S&KLR is doing so well! May it last many years to come!

GCR staff and volunteers put quite a bit of work into the start of restoration and were just as gutted as everyone else, if not more so when they heard she had been sold.

Re Hornby. It does not sound credible. Unless by some accounting measure they can right off unsold stock.

with the castle, I'm part of the 61673 spirt of Sandringham project and we've taken parts and drawings from 61662 project witch yes was another new build that went under but another example is 32424 beachy head its boiler is from a GNR Atlantic.

First went there 1974(im 64 now). Lots of stuff in your video was unrestored. I managed to access some of the closed lines including Ventnor tunnel (which was completely unblocked) and an eerie walk thru the original Wooton trackbed & platform with my late father. Fairlee tunnel was also accessed before they altered one end( dumper trucks on site and the workmen gave permission to photo it). I think Acton museum has some of the 1925 LT stock from the island in NSE livery? Comprehensive video thank you

I love those tank engines , reminds me of the last days of steam . Saw loads of these near where i used to live , when i was a nipper .

It is an amazing place! The repair sheds, and the train museum are so interesting... nevermind the lure of a steam engine trip! ❤ My sister, over 50 years ago now, used to be shaken about in the seats on the wonderful rickety, clickity clack Ryde to Shanklin carriages. She laughed so much, that the whole carriage used to end up laughing with her. Lovely days!!

What about Castle 5080 Defiant restored once and once it's boiler ticket expired it hasn't been, as far as I know overhauled to run again. The focus has been on 7029 and 5043 but not 5080. But will the 47 run on the mainline or will it be confined to preserved railways only. Is 4079 mainline accredited or is it just for preserved railways only.

I have it on good authority that the MAYOR LOVES TRAINS as she drove a train at last weekends 75 years celebration at the Model Engineers Track in the same park. AND YES SHE IS A GIRL. We were there of course. David and Lily up from Reading.

GWR Halls have been scrapped for rebuilds too. Its just something that happens.

There should be a crossover where ''Ivor'' The Engine meets ''Thomas'' The Tank Engine.

GWR fans like to kit-bash other company's locos into fake GWR frankenlocos, so they might as well do it to another one of their own.
