As a lifelong brewer fan from Wisconsin, my dad and I have been dreading this day for years. For it to happen on my birthday is devastating. Rest in peace Mr. baseball, the crews gonna win it for you this year.
I'm 56 on Monday, and Ueck has been in my ears for literally my whole life. He was Milwaukee. He was the Brewers. He was Wisconsin's national representative. He was ours. Today, he's havin' a catch in heaven.
My favorite childhood memories are camping with my father in the Wisconsin northwooods, eating hotdogs, playing UNO, and listening to Uecker. A very sad day.
Remembered as a kid around 84 or 85 starting to hear Uecker call games. Never was boring, and Ueckers quality never diminished. Will feel weird listening to Brewers games going forward knowing he won't be in booth going forward. As much as all us brewers fans wished we got to hear a Uecker world series winning call, I am glad he got to still be announcing the crew during their most consistent playing of baseball these last 15 years(from 93-07) was a rough patch.
A truely legendary announcer and an even better human being. Uecker was someone who could tell the best stories while also delivering the best commentary on radio, putting so much emotion behind every word he spoke. You'll be missed by me and all baseball/Brewer fans alike. Rest in piece Mr.Baseball.
Bob was literally a national treasure. From calling the Brew Crew to all those years to his amazing performance in Major League. You will be missed Bob 😢
I can still see the grey "boom box" radio my dad used to tune into Brewers games to listen to Ueck when I was a kid. Rest in peace Mr. Baseball. God be with your family.
Uecker, Scully, Harwell, Kalas, Caray, Buck. They're all gone now. Words like iconic and legendary don't do these guys justice. They were American institutions whose voices filled the summer days of tens of millions of us across generations. Anyone who never got to sit down with a cold beverage on a hot summer day and listen to these guys call a game of baseball missed out on experiencing something so special.
It's not a competition fellaz both Vin Scully and Bob Uecker were legendary Dodgers were lucky to have Vin and Brewers fans were fortunate to have Bob 💙
A very difficult day for baseball fans everywhere, regardless of who you pull for. Sending my prayers and condolences to the Uecker family and to the Brewers organization.
Listening to him on radio with my dad in the 80s made me love baseball and the Brewers. The man was truly a legend and kind, caring man. I forget if any of the other legendary announcers are still around but it is truly an end of a era in basball annoucing here milwaukee abd possibly all of baseball. Bob and several others had a skill that is so rare i dont know if we will ever listen to games called like that ever again. He could have went to any network because he was that good but we had the honor and privilege of having him around for over half a decade. Thank you for the memories Bob. My only wish is that you would have seen the Brewers win a world series.
"Prince could've brought everyone down with him" as he plated the walk-off run in a game; a different walk-off homer by Prince actually did bring everybody down as he reached the plate (though without Prince going down)
He will be greatly missed. He really loved Milwaukee and The Brewers. Thank you, Mr. Uecker, for your wonderful contributions and being a legend. You will forever be a hometown hero. God Bless you and your family. P.S. I tie him with Harry Caray. RIH Both of them.
This was a moment we have all feared once in our life’s. He was such a special and sweet person who lit up everyone’s day. We will miss him… “Mr. Baseball” Get Up Get Up and Goodbye 🕊️🕊️🕊️💙
This is such a tough loss. Glad we had him as long as we did he's a national treasure. Being 43, I really don't know baseball without him. @8:14 That game was legendary.
He was never boring calling games. A funny line or story was never far away. No one else could do what he did for Brewer fans,…combine comedy with baseball expertise.
These are all great calls but my favorite times were when a team was up big, Bob may or may not have had a few Miller Lite's and started telling stories. NOBODY was better
Every single pitcher in The MLB on opening day or the start of spring training. I don't care, maybe both Every single pitcher should throw a pitch outside in every single announcer should say "Juuuust a bit outside" 😢🙂
All these middle-aged people dying. What? Apparently from what people say middle age begins at 50, so the middle age years are 50-100, making old age 100-150. It's a shame people aren't making it to old age.
Brewers fans were very lucky to have this man voice their team for so many decades. Condolences to us all! What a gift he was
As a kid, I knew him as the dad on Mr. Belvedere. He was one of the all time great callers, and a much better player than he liked to let on.
Amen
I’m 40 and I don’t remember Brewers baseball without him.

All respect to you Mr. Uecker, will always remember you, the laughs, and smiles you helped generate. Thank you, rest in peace- Mariners Fan
He was truly one of a kind ❤
We will miss you bob, thanks for all the memories ❤😢

One of the greatest on the mic period. Truly was a masterpiece and one of the funniest people ever known. You will be missed. A legend!!
He loved baseball and we loved him.

Legend, I feel like my favorite uncle just passed 😢

A legendary voice and personality that will be missed. I feel for the family, friends and the Brewer fans. Vin Scully needed a partner.
At this point the only major long-time announcer left is Ken Harrelson, long-time announcer for the Chicago White Sox.
My Dodgers won it for Vin, Tommy and Fernando 💙 hopefully the Brew Crew can bring a championship home for Mr Uecker
He was one of the best
not even a brewers fan but watching these clips with his play-by-play still gets me choked up 💙
Lost my Dad last May. He loved baseball too. Bob, look him up, he would love to hear your stories!

16:12 Ueck pantomimes a swing and then looks up like he fouled it back. What a guy.
Excellent catch! Such a sad day, but so thankful to have grown up with Uecker.
@johnsieracki8234 the best way to catch a knuckleball is to wait for it to stop rolling, then pick it up
GOAT. He'll be missed.
So many hours listening to Bob sitting on the riverbank. I'll miss that.
One of the most iconic voices. As a Cardinal's fan, I've always appreciated a great radio or TV voice...spoiled on Jack Buck and Mike Shannon.
"Just a bit outside!"
Thanks for the great memories.
Rest in Peace, Legend.
Bob was the best in baseball and definitely the funniest!
Simply the best
The best radio voice in baseball
vin scully was just as good during his 67 year run
I have to disagree. Vin Scully was the best, but I did love Bob Uecker.
It's not a competition fellaz both Vin Scully and Bob Uecker were legendary Dodgers were lucky to have Vin and Brewers fans were fortunate to have Bob 💙
Why are you guys making it a competition when he literally passed away today? So disrespectful
Rest in Peace Bob Uecker you made Baseball what it is my condolences to every fan of the Brewers his friends and family
grew up in wisconsin , born in 86, i never knew what we had was so special when i was young.
He was the voice of my youth and I'm 61 years old.
A very difficult day for baseball fans everywhere, regardless of who you pull for.
Sending my prayers and condolences to the Uecker family and to the Brewers organization.
Rest in peace, Bob 🙏🏾🕊️
He was awesome

Bob was the last of that generation of play-by-play guys. Uecker, Scully, Harwell, Kalas, Caray, Buck. They're all gone now.
"Prince could've brought everyone down with him" as he plated the walk-off run in a game; a different walk-off homer by Prince actually did bring everybody down as he reached the plate (though without Prince going down)
Rest in peace, Bob😭
You will certainly be missed, Mr. Baseball!
What a gift. He represented our state perfectly for a half century, what a man
We all loved him
Absolute legend.
Rest in Peace Bob. Man this hurts..
Wife thought it’d be a great idea to start cutting onions while I’m trying to watch this
Guess them onions are affecting me too here from Jersey
Rest in peace Mr Baseball
Rest and peace to the goat himself 🙏
Farewell, Mr. Baseball. You were especially loved and appreciated by the entire baseball community and its fans.
Long live Ueck man. I’m gonna be sadden to listen to Brewers games and not hear his voice 😔😔. Wish he got to see them win one
Rest easy, King 👑
This was a moment we have all feared once in our life’s. He was such a special and sweet person who lit up everyone’s day. We will miss him… “Mr. Baseball” Get Up Get Up and Goodbye 🕊️🕊️🕊️💙
Whenever the Mets have a day off, i tune in to wtmj to hear if the ueck is on the booth. He never disappoints!
Bob, thank you for your love of the game and for never straying "just about outside" of what you loved most. Rest In Peace.
This is such a tough loss. Glad we had him as long as we did he's a national treasure. Being 43, I really don't know baseball without him. @8:14 That game was legendary.
Awesome guy
Can still hear these in my head
May he rest in peace
Love you, Bob.
One of the most iconic sports announcers of modern times.
I don't pull for the Brewers but I did for #MrBaseball
Rest easy, ueck. It'll be hard not hearing you on the radio anymore.
He was never boring calling games.
A funny line or story was never far away.
No one else could do what he did for Brewer fans,…combine comedy with baseball expertise.
LEGEND!
The GOAT
So sad 😥😔
Tmj 620 radio will never be the same
I’m gonna miss walking through the stadium on game day and hearing his announcement on the concourse 💙
Bob's in the front row now.😢
Heard him at our brewers game this summer.
He is to funny
He will be missed🙏🙏
The 🐐
These are all great calls but my favorite times were when a team was up big, Bob may or may not have had a few Miller Lite's and started telling stories. NOBODY was better
Rest in peace
The movie Major League was on the other night 😂
I'm a Brewers fan, but my favorite Ueck moment will always be Andre the Giant choking him out.
Baseball just became a little less fun and a lot less lighthearted. Love you Bob!
It's a sad day in brew town 😢
We will miss Harry Doyle 😢
Every single pitcher in The MLB on opening day or the start of spring training. I don't care, maybe both
Every single pitcher should throw a pitch outside in every single announcer should say
"Juuuust a bit outside" 😢🙂
So here's the deal: if the Brewers ever win the World Series, we superimpose the call at 13:48 over the championship moment for Bob. Deal?
Did Buck Martinez get inspired by him to use the the "Get up Ball, Get outta Here, Gone!" Phrase?
Change the stadium name in honor of him please Brewers
I'm not crying. It's allergies.
Sad day in MKE 😢
All these middle-aged people dying. What? Apparently from what people say middle age begins at 50, so the middle age years are 50-100, making old age 100-150. It's a shame people aren't making it to old age.
Did Fielder ever touch the plate? Looked like he jumped over it before getting mobbed.
🍺 A Major League Loss . ⚾🤕
Miller lite"I must be in the front row" , classic
To think the Brewers couldn't even get Bob a WS ring, nor a NL pennant. He joined a terrible team to broadcast. He was a legend either way!
