[Eng Sub] 320hp! 600kg! Can the Atom 4 handle Mong Kok style?

- The Ariel Atom 4 is the latest product from Ariel UK. Although it seems that there is no major change from the previous Atom, the rigidity of the frame has actually been improved a lot. The engine is replaced with Honda's latest K20C1 four-cylinder turbo, the same as the Civic Type R FL5 that Lung Sir and Edmond Lau recently tested. It has a base horsepower of 320 horsepower and can be adjusted up to 350 horsepower. Although the horsepower figure does not seem to be particularly high for today's new cars, because the Atom 4 weighs less than 600kg, the weight-horsepower ratio has surpassed many super sports cars and is close to the level of racing cars. The most commendable thing is that the Ariel Atom 4 is still a very pure sports car. There is no power-assisted steering system, and even the brakes do not have power assist. The rear-wheel drive is all about creating the most authentic driving experience. The mid-mounted engine is almost completely exposed, and the engine air intake is right next to the ears of the people inside the car. Every operation sound of the K20C1 hits people's bodies like thunder. The acceleration of 0-100km/h is 2.9 seconds, which is an astonishing number, but don’t just say that the acceleration of electric vehicles is stronger than that of Atom 4. Gasoline, combustion, mechanical operation, and heat are converted into power to drive the car body. This process is still the dream of true drivers. Ariel Atom 4 is like a pacemaker. Every time you accelerate, everything including the force, sound, vibration, or even holding the steering wheel and stepping on the pedals, it stimulates people's senses and makes people understand the true meaning of the car. Lung Sir said that this was an unforgettable experience. Edmond Lau said that although it was not his first time to drive a kit car like the Atom 4, he was still extremely nervous. They also wanted to drive the car to Mong Kok to greet the audiences.

我地三藩市呢度排氣檢測好攞命，少少無牌改裝都會過唔到，每一件改裝件都一定要有C.A.R.B.號碼先可以過SMOG Check.不過我地過左SMOG就馬上裝翻曬D改裝件，就連拉力賽用AntiLag系統都直接用，美國人權太大，所以差佬見到大改都冇權截停。小弟開2013Fiat500 Abarth，平時都開antilag，只要唔超速，唔衝燈，一切都唔係問題。

Is a legal race car on the road, like the Lotus 7, but this one is more powerful, with 300HP more, the waste gate release valve sound great when turbo pressure reach the limit. British guy really know how to tune chassis. This car is a very demanding car for driver. Great video.

有興趣聽龍sir講vtec + 其實想問下成日講每缸500cc係完美排氣量但係多數高轉引擎係細過呢個數好多，例如例如F1用1.6 V6，Ariel Atom V8用3.0 V8同埋super bike，原因何在？
因為活塞越大，衝程越長慣性就越大，轉數就做唔到太高。所以落場用/比賽取向既engine為左晌規則內壓拃最大馬力，都會用超高轉engine。

怎麼不是向 Civic Mugen Type RR 一樣用K20A？ 這車好酷，可是太貴了，多造幾輛賣便宜點不行嗎？ Clarkson 都不介紹了，他介紹Zenos, Alpha Romeo 4C, Audi TT Type R。 這車的弱點就是前胎不容易熱，Hammerhead turn 會大大的under steer。不過這車whoose whoosh 又好酷的感覺是沒得比。
