12:00 - Ive harped on this with my church security team leader. We need hands-on training. We train gun stuff constantly but have NEVER done hands-on training. Hands on and comms are our weak areas.

We had a landline for a very long time but eventually we could only get it through the cable company. At that point, it seemed like that was no more secure than the cell phone. We bought a spare cell phone to use as our house phone. I have very strongly considered learning ham radio and teaching our teen and extended family members about that. If anyone has any intro advice on learning ham radio rules etc would be great. Thanks folks.

Other Presidents didn't have judges awarding half billion-dollar judgments against them to resort to releasing shoes or anything else to help with legal expenses.
Other presidents get CCP and MIC and Pharma money laundered through book contracts for ghost-written crap that will rarely be read, streaming show contracts that won't draw enough viewers, board seats for family members, ad infinitum ad nauseaum. Not just Presidents; Governors, Senators, Congressional Reps, Cabinet Secretaries, Flag Officers, etc. When you keep rewarding people for dirty work they've already done, it sends a message that "if you serve our interests now, we'll keep taking care of you later".
John, well said concerning the situation with having your kids around certain lifestyles. I have had to deal with the exact same situation. It took some soul searching and turning to the Word of God for me to come to the same conclusion as you have. God Speed.

The typical Part 97 licensed Baofeng "Ham" radios aren't really resonant outside of their designed frequencies. Even with the correct antenna for FRS or GMRS frequencies, their performance is poor compared to the "motorola" license free radios that I tested.
That being said, Baofeng or other ham radios can typically have longer range than license free radios when used at the designed frequencies. While the feds won't investigate comms during an emergency, it'd be smart to practice prior to said emergency. Kinda like practicing with, oh, i dont know, a firearm or something...

Back in the day when we all had landlines, there was a contiguous piece of wire - albeit going through switches/relays - connecting your handset to the person on the other end.
In most of the US that is no longer true. The telephone companies have used the economy of scale available in networking and all landlines are run through the same kind of networking that cell networks are. So if the network infrastructure goes down, so does your landline.

In regards to the church security question. The church I attend has had a team for the past 5 years. We would train for scenarios, medical and marksmanship. We now have a new team leader. He says if you are a former military or police you already know how to train and that civilians don't need to be on the team anymore since they don't understand the training. How should this be addressed without causing a big problem?
Even if I had the Secret Service guarding me, I'd carry. If sec team is elitist, forget joining and still do your thing.
Sounds like the new leader is a tool. Anything you say or do that he disagrees with is gonna cause issues. Continue to train, and start looking for a new church.
Church security teams always have one thing in common, everyone wants to interfere with how they operate, train and serve. They often go as far as to say you can't serve. Interesting concept isn't it. Discuss it with the pastor and leaders and check your own ego as well. But be very careful of trying to be part of a group of know it alls.... They will make you a scapegoat for sure and sour you on serving or attending.
Your good people man, every time over the years when i watch your videos i always ALWAYS get some sort of piece of irreplaceable exceptional advice towards life i find inspiration in your word advice and lessons and even some of your witty jokes. As a father a husband a protector a son a brother and member of our society i find good advice for all these roles i fill.I nowhere near catch as many episodes as i once did but still today a few years after first stumbling across your videos looking for advice on zeroing red dots or whatever, i still find top notch advice from yoou without fail without searching but on such a wide variety of areas across all life and i always feel good after watching a video of yours. I appreciate what you guys do. All sides the warrior and the poet. Thank you for all you do.
Just my opinion, I do blame both sides. Year after year, administration after administration, not once could have both side allocated enough money to have a complete boarder.

Hey John, have you seen the videos of the Lakewood church footage. Cops did not do a good job. They fell apart under pressure. You can visit Christian warrior training for a breakdown. As you know cops or anyone will break under pressure to their lowest training or lack of training.
The baofengs technically aren't legal for FRS freq's either because the FCC is just as arbitrary and capricious as the ATF - since it has a removable antenna it isn't technically within the rules. But also, no one is coming to enforce it. No one is enforcing unlicensed ham operators either. You'd have to really piss an individual off bad enough for them to complain, and MAYBE you'd get a nasty letter in the mail from the FCC... maybe. The FCC enforcement history is public and the only way to get their attention is running a signal jammer or pirate radio station it seems. And even then they start by asking you nicely to stop.
FRS channels don’t require a license. The radios you buy at Walmart use FRS frequencies. Ham radio frequencies are what you need a license for.
SB3589 is not only a 2A violation but also a 1A violation (right to peaceably assemble)

Glad to hear you state that the individual is primarily responsible for his own actions. Also, if you are a follower of Christ friends that are unrepentant will eventually drift away or be converted. That’s just the way it is.
Regarding the question about extended family and your kids, does that extend to family members who inherently are being inappropriate around kids because of their ideology and claiming we affirm their false identity?

Yeah that's definitely a seperate issue. No one has the right before God to lie. OT saints were blessed in spite of any such behavior, and often faced stark consequences for dishonesty. Jesus Christ is the Truth, Satan is the father of lies (John 14:2, 8:44), and the Spirit of the Lord had the Apostle Paul write to the Body of Christ the following:
[2 Corinthians 4:2 KJV] [2] But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
I usually end up telling my kids blunt generalities about evil in the world the earliest I think they can handle it. I don't want my kids to think I shielded them from reality when they grow older. I want to teach them early that woke people are actually asleep to sin and righteousness. You don't have to be graphic.
We also never needed Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny for my kids to have a fun childhood, either.
This "pride" stuff is described in Romans 1 as basically the last stage of cancer in a depraved society. In other words, it's all tied together with the worst things that can possibly be accepted by humans. God calls it abominable and singles it out as particularly unnatural. So do not feel guilty for wanting to protect your kids. Draw a hard line. You've got one shot at your children's formative years. They go by faster and faster and then it's too late to say, "I changed my mind, I want their little innocent brains protected." And remember. "Affirming" what they are doing is affirming a particularly unnatural and untrue thing. It's like telling a paranoid person, "Yes, I too see the men in the bushes with all the dripping knives! Oh yes, I see the cops pointing the gun at you. Uh huh, I see the drone aiming at you, too." And whoever is telling your "gay" loved one to keep doing this, or God forbid, having sexual relations with them, is your loved one's ABUSER. Never forget that. To act homosexuality towards someone is SEXUAL ABUSE. Look on your relatives as very very troubled individuals who are tied to abusers and have very severe stockholm syndrome, and are possibly well on their way toward abusing others in the same way. Remember, if they do these things in the light, and say such offensive words to you who disapprove, what are they doing in the dark, or saying when they have approval?
Love to see an episode on comms. I'm nervous of baefang radios(not sure I spelled that right). But what if the Chinese can flip a switch and these things don't work? Just a thought. Is CB radio a better option for emergencies? 14 channel frs? So much to know and learn.

The nursing student’s family should sue the NY authorities who arrested the murderer. They should sue the fed gov regarding the border detainment. Nothing will change until victims sue the gov agencies who allow criminals to roam free.
Speaking on security and active shooters or other threats. I attend Pleasant Grove Baptist, in Bowman. We have an amazing security team that regularly interacts with first responders in our area and is composed of the same. They recently put on an active shooter training scenario at the church to show church members how to respond. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend, but being g former law enforcement and a veteran, I thought the training looked amazing from everything I saw later and heard from participants. I think more churches should incorporate this because of the times we're living in.

Hey John I'm deeply inspired by your views and way of life, your words and thoughts are intelligent and intriguing, I just got my copy of The Warrior Poet Way and absolutely love it within the introduction and first chapter, I've always lived my life wanting to live like the old ways as a true man and warrior should, this modern age is a scam and as a Christian I see alot of how much this world is a lie to the people, if you have never heard of the term kaizen it is Japanese meaning continuous improvement, but honestly I feel like stress and anxiety have taken the best of me, I was staying in shape, training in muay thai, studying psychology and other aspects of life as well as taking care of my two kids on my own, since then I have gotten married and had another baby who just turned 1 and within the past 2 years of her being pregnant and us taking care of the baby and 2 other children it has taken a toll on my mental health aswell as me getting fat and far too comfortable, I still have issues with anxiety and even tho I'm only 29 years old it's still hard to deal with the stress and get back into shape aswell as maintaining the other aspects of life. I don't really have any friends or family besides the one I created. My son is autistic and it's like taking care of 3 kids at once with just him. I just wanted to say I love your book, I love the concepts and ideas and the passion you show of how a man should be. You are inspiring and this book has inspired me to focus on getting my health back in order and taking control of my life and house again. I have a bunch of notes in my office and one that sticks out is "If a man can lead his house he can lead an army." May God bless you and your house and may he be with you forever." Much love.

FYI, afaik "EMP protected" is similar to "fireproof" or "bulletproof". If you take something fireproof and get it hot enough, itll burn. Take something bulletproof and hit it with a big/fast enough bullet, it'll go thru. So if devices in an EMP safe container are exposed to a strong enough EMP, they're still gonna fry. Not trying to dunk on the concept, it's certainly worth a shot because a potential EMP is such an unknown. But just like anything else, there's no silver bullet.
If you can pass a tech license, a no code ticket, you get access to the entire technician spectrum of frequencies. it is more limited than a general or extra class license, but among the frequencies and privileges is the 2 meter and 70cm band. Baofeng is a nominal 5 watt radio, with a typical hand held "rubber duck" antenna. you can use almost any other antenna that works in that frequency band, and you can amplify the output signal, if needed. exactly how far is a question for a ham radio club or the FCC. In most locations, you have access to repeaters. 5 watts is enough to excite the repeater, if you are close enough. Make no mistake, this is a basic radio, but it requires a ham license to legally operate.

Little note about the FRS and baofeng. (So hopefully John never gets in trouble with the FCC) My understanding is that FRS is limited to radios with fixed antennas, and 1/2 a watt. While the baofengs can be limited to the 1/2 watt, they have upgrade-able antennas, and so technically can't be used on FRS and perhaps shouldn't be publicly recommended for those channels.
However, MURS has 5 channels that are not restricted like that, and are available to commercial and personal use. I've seen a lot of box stores use those frequencies.
not to mention FRS channels are on walmart blister pack "walkie talkies" and any dingus can key up. or giving the walkies to kids to play with.

Canada has laws against paramilitary training.. its pretty dumb.. go to the range with your buddies, now you can be arrested for paramilitary training... we don't have the 2nd amendment here, so no man granted right to protect ourselves

Had my data stolen during the healthcare hack. Had my address switched to some bando in Philly and I live states away. The company tried to blame me for a week. Finally got an admission that they were affected but told to go to some other site. I think they were in on it or took advantage of the situation.

When you allow your kids to be in the presence of people whom you don't want your kids to emulate, it becomes problematic. Your kids may develop a connection to these individuals, and as they mature, they might adopt some of their behaviors due to admiration. Eventually, as the children grow older and comprehend more, if they idolize these individuals, they may aspire to emulate them. Therefore, it's important to avoid exposing your children to such influences altogether.

Church security...even in states where armed church security is allowed, if carry by everyone in the church isn't allowed, they are still temporarily vulnerable between their cars and the church - because they're unarmed. Scenario: estranged, violent nutjob ex-partner kept at bay by knowing their ex is armed. Except in church and walking to/from their car at church. It's the obvious place to attack their ex with less chance of return fire flying their way too.
Vigilantism is going to be a problem soon. If LEO's aren't going to do their job then so many others will. Keep your heads on a swivel and stay safe.

I'm new to the radio world. But I thought you couldn't use (transmit) anything on baofeng radios without a HAM license
So i picked up tidradio H8 for a good reason. They can be jailbreak to pick up ham ,gmrs, and other frequency like local police bands. Can be blutooh programming not chirp. I can listen to local ham repeaters. Check them out
