Sonya was complicit with their demands, answered all their questions and was still so brutally murdered. She had so much to live for and that was taken away from her so early. I watched the bodycam video and the most disturbing thing to me was seeing all the people in the comments blaming HER because they believed she was throwing boiling water at the police officer. And honestly my response to that is, THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER ALTERNATIVES THAN SHOOTING HER. I had a phase where I watched so many police body cam videos and in MUCH more dangerous scenarios they would use a TASER not a gun. Even if he was being threatened (which in all honesty I'm extremely doubtful that he was) there are many better alternatives than ending this poor woman's life.
And he had been an officer for several years. One article even explains that officers are trained to be careful and either to not let or not follow people to their kitchen in many cases.
