Agreed on most of these points. I will buy off-season if it is a timeless piece like winter gear at the end of the season. The key with shopping off-season is having a list of items to refer to when those things do go on sale. Often I'll find that when it does come time for the item to go on sale, I've moved on from the fantasy and something else has filled the slot. Which keeps me from accidentally duplicating purchases, funny enough. If I can't wash it in a machine, I won't buy it. That and tighter fit clothing. Even if the intent is under layer, I can't stand the feeling. Like it doesn't fit 😂 I've been opting to just size up in most tops to get a comfortable fit, my ego can handle it.
Yes on the (p)leather! I'm a vegetarian and still swear by leather. Buy it secondhand whenever you can; you'll always be able to find beautiful pieces that way. I bought a vintage red leather trench last year that kept me warm throughout a horrible northeast winter while still being stylish. The way I see it, by buying vintage furs and leather you're honoring the animal rather than letting the garments sit and collect dust.
Lol "honouring the animal" it's was killed and then skinned, I don't think they would feel any better about it knowing you like their skin on a coat tbh. But you do you! I wear leather but I don't delude myself into thinking the animal is being "honoured" I know it's cruel and the animal suffered
There are also so many plant based leathers these days! You don’t have to kill cows OR buy oil-based leathers these days. Also the tip to buy second hand is great too 😊
i love wool, silk and cashmere. so i have a lot of wardrobe items made of that materials. recently though i got an emergency: moths! HELP! 😥 can you make a video on how to avoid moths from destroying clothes? 🙏
