I feel the same about basic staples being safe but very boring. I also spice up safe outfits with accessories and shoes. I bought a pair of gold earrings (tiny gold ball chains) similar to the silver shoulder duster earrings you wear in the video (about 2/3 length of yours) because these earrings make your outfits pop.
I enjoy adding mood to basic/safe. You are doing so many inspirational things with black in this and looking fab in them all.
