Letters present at the end of pratyahara are always हृस्व then, in the example अ was हृस्व, क was हृस्व bcoz it has स्वर अ in it , then why not the क् as per the definition

in simple words just remember that .. the last word of pratyehar is always in halant form.. despite of whether it is swar Or vayanjan
