Like the Eubanks, Hamed divided opinion- Some loved him, some disliked him. I appreciated him as a boxer, but his antics were not my cup of tea. Ali did all of that before him with much more style and class. He proclaimed himself a "Soon to be legend" He was a good fighter, that's where I would put him. Great is reserved for the likes of, Duran, Ali Sanchez, Robinson, Leonard, Holyfield etc. Could he have been great.. Maybe, if he had fought some better opposition earlier, and maybe if he took the Barrera loss, learned from that and had the real desire to come back and prove his so called greatness.. but that is why those fighters are considered great, they did just that.
