- The last meeting between Carolina and Dallas. Cam Newton leads his 10-0 Panthers into AT&T Stadium for a Thanksgiving day clash with the desperate 3-7 Cowboys, in the final career start for Tony Romo.
The year was 2015, I was newly engaged to my wife, visiting the family for the first time and they’re cowboys fans. I never had to be so quiet in my life! Go panthers and thanks for the best thanksgiving ever!!!!

I will never forget this Thanksgiving. Panther Fan and hate the Cowboys. My Aunt brought her boyfriend to my mom house for thanksgiving. When Luke picked Romo back to back, I celebrated so loud and hard that her bf left the house!! I still put the Jake Delhomme/Steve Smith/John Fox 2003-2006 teams ahead of Cam/Luke and Ron teams but both are special.

@@sw120 I would probably say the double overtime game against the Rams in '04. Best ending to any game ever, It had everything. I was 17 at the time. I even got laid at half-time! Though all the playoff wins are special honestly.

I remembered how asinine it was that the Cowboys were 3-7 and favored to win against the 10-0 Panthers just because Romo was back..... OH and the shit talk from the Cowboys fans during the week leading up to this game was crazy.

The panthes should but the NFL wanted a farwell story for Peyton Manning. I have watched many Superbowls and that Superbowl felt fixed like none other. The Panthers were a fun loose team and they didn't play or even display the characteristics they showed throughtout the year in the Superbowl. Maybe defeating the Cardinals was the superbowl for the fans as for the 08 -09 Panthers lost at home to them.

Oh I miss this team 😭 Great memories. One of the best Thanksgiving days of my life. Just watching Cam's first bullet pass completion breaks my heart knowing our current high school QB will probably never be able to do the same with his noodle arm. Glad I was fortunate enough to enjoy when we were relevant. Keep POUNDING!

@@pretorious700 he had it though, he got to watch Vinny and Drew under Bill Parcells, couldn’t have been in a better situation, and he took advantage, Cowboys could have won a SB with him for the same money, but instead they basically went first round out (or week 17 out) out every year - just as they did before and after Romo.
It's crazy to think how injured Romo was. He got hurt was it like game 3 or 4 of this year, then comes back for like half a game and gets injured again, then gets hurt after 2 or 3 snaps in preseason following. My dad thinks Romo should have came in during the 2016 season and Dak should've been benched. I think it would've messed up the rythm and he would've been hurt yet again.
@G G Romo got hurt in preseason that season. Tell your dad to chill. What he didn't know is Romo started camp that season out of shape. Wade Wilson had a camp that season that Romo didn't attend. He didn't even follow Mike Woicick meal/training plan either. He didn't pass conditionals, so they had to work him into camp. Third preseason game, he got hurt. FF to week 8 vs. Pittsburgh. Dallas is on a roll. Wade wanted Romo to attend Steve Clarkson's QB training. Instead, Romo decided to attend The Nelson. Romo was already thinking about retirement. His cousin/manger Andy well...NVM
I remember listening to the radio in the first quarter of this game. The announce team were saying that the Cowboys uniforms were bright on the field and the theory was that it was easy for Cam and RBs to spot holes because you couldn’t miss the brightness.

I was at my cousin's house, who is a HUGE Cowboys fan... since the '80s. I wore my Newton #1 jersey. I cheered and rubbed it in with every big play. He's a good sport, though. Love my cousin.

I think people need to remember that Vegas and bookies were favoring the Cowboys to win and this really pissed off the Panthers' locker room. They took it personally.
Well, the Cowboys had our number over the recent years... ever since we kicked their ass in that wildcard game of the '03-'04 playoffs on our way to our first Super Bowl. They beat us in almost every game ever since, if not all of them until this moment, if I'm not mistaken. So Vegas was going by the history of the "rivalry" and the Panthers' cardiac nature of their wins that season. It's understandable that they thought we'd run out of luck. I had my qualms about that game, too.
Dallas was 3-7, Carolina 10-0, and Vegas was picking Dallas? Bullshit.

When Denver was up 16-10 in the SB against Carolina, and the Panthers faced a 3rd & 9 late in the game and Von Miller strip sacked Cam Newton, there was a CLEAR penalty on Denver when Von Miller batted the ball towards the Carolina end zone and the ref was right there and then T.J. Ward recovered it at the 4 yard line. If they call that penalty on Von Miller, it would be a 10 yard penalty and 1st & 10 for Carolina and the drive would CONTINUE! But Peyton Manning had to win his 2nd Super Bowl!

trent shackelford no he started the week before. Don’t blame the injury. He was just antsy, and impatient. He wanted to put on a show and when that didn’t happen, he kept forcing it. Romo has been the better passer (so far) but Dak even as a rookie has shown more poise and maturity playing the position.

Watch the slow replay on Coleman’s pick 6. Luke was also back in zone, and could’ve made a play on the ball, but knew Coleman was sitting in a better spot for a better play. That’s a testament to how great that defense was.
