This has most certainly been the best video you have shot in a long time, watching you break 75 with a smile on your face and the ball has made my day. Ryan is also my favourite guest, The guy is a super positive and great to watch!
The new attitude, new fitness and reinvigorated Rick, is a joy to behold. And what an outcome - best we've seen in years. Great scrambling too. Ryan was a pleasure to watch, as always. He is a YT natural. And I think with your focus, Rick, being more on Ryan's score, you put less pressure on yourself to achieve your goal ... and so you did. This was the easiest, and most enjoyable 'Break 75' to watch (for me, at least) in a very long time. Well done both, and the RS team.

Rick isn’t out here playing regular courses dude is playing the hardest courses in the world from the tips as well shooting mid 70s. He’s a scratch golfer.
Rick! You made me jumped on my sofa celebrating you broke 75!!! What a course, what a score, what a guest (Ryan is great) and the best of all, what a finish!!! Congrats!!
The negative Nancy’s in the comments these days. Sheesh. The goal is to break 75. Regardless of where his game at… keeping in mind he’s a high level RUclips golfer who likely gets a round in maybe once a week with little practice while also playing the hardest venues in the world… let’s cut the king a break. He knows he’s capable of great golf. He wants to break 75. Let him put himself out there by doing so. Keep going after it Rick!
@@petermeades196 He’s also playing 7,600 yds. That is taking the difficulty level up a notch. I had the privilege of playing there in April. Caddy is a must; if you don’t know the target lines, the runs and the options-and that’s on the fairways- you’ll loose a few strokes. But, it is forgiving at times as it’s wide open; my few wayward drives were all playable, and hit it straight where needed. It’s an amazing course, unlike any I’ve played before (that includes the Bandon courses, the Pebbele Beach courses, the Pinehurst courses, and many of the Open courses); simply unique and a ton of fun.
As a long time watcher and subscriber, I so enjoyed that. Well done mate, haters gonna hate but if Ryan only beats you by 2 over 7600, that's super golf.
I watched Tiger Woods' chip on the 16th hole at The Masters in 2005 live. I swear I cheered louder for Rick's chip on the 18th in this video. Well played, dude.
What an ending to an absolute blast of a course! This looks like a course you can shoot a wild 95 with your buddies, but hit some memorable shots and have a great time. Also love seeing Ryan on the channel again. I really hope we can watch you make it back to this course next summer when it has grown in a bit. Great stuff boys!
I’ve been travelling Thailand since the end of December as part of the mandatory post university celebration, during my down time I’ve developed an obsession with golf without playing a single hole just from watching endless amounts of your videos. It’s a blessing I’ve never touched or thought of playing golf until I stumbled upon your channel as I’ve been able to watch ridiculous amounts whilst being away to keep me entertained in the evening or whilst travelling from place to place. The amount excitement you have given me to get back to the UK and start playing golf is ridiculous! Thank you very much.
I live within sight of this course and excited to see this video as we locals were not even aware it was open for play. It has been a long time coming, having been anticipated and under construction for the past several years. It is fun watching the video as i will likely never be able to afford this exclusive course. @stephenmccann3407 they had done a break 75 at tpc sawgrass on acccpunt of thr players championship being there and were due to release it this week. But they lost the footage
Thoroughly enjoyed this.. especially the finale! I think you did a great job considering if you normally hit the fairway 75% and only 25% of the course is actually grass, Hitting 3 fairways in 18 is actually OK! Great to watch and Ryan is a star. 👏👏
Amazing break 75 episode! Enjoyed watching both Ryan and you playing great golf at the new course. Looking forward to being able to play there someday.
What a great player and watchable bloke Ryan is. Hope he makes it to the PGA tour, shows just how hard this game is at the top level. Thanks for the content Rick, keep it up
Awesome Rick, I played Cabot Saint Lucia in Feb 2024 which is spectacular. And I am playing Cabot Cliffs and Links in July. Great video Rick! Nicely done on the content Rick.
Great round Rick. Love it when you have a playing partner on your videos. Cabot Citrus Farms used to be called World Wood Golf Club. It was a Fazio designed complex. Apparently they didn't keep up with the maintenance and this Canadian company bought and refurbished the courses. Golf Digest ran an article about it a couple of years ago. The article mentioned that Phil played David Toms in an episode of Shell's Wonderful World of Golf tv series.
Incredible video. Great course, fantastic guest, the camera angles and 4k source really shine. The drone footage really gives an excellent overview of each hole. Ryan is a fantastic guest, and I appreciate Rick's updated positivism. I don't think it's a mistake he shot such a good score with an improved mind-set. He didn't get down on himself, and he had an amazing back nine. I watched the entire video, and was throughly entertained. Can only hope for more of the same. Kudos to all involved.
from the first 10 seconds all the way through the feature length video... this was so amazing to watch. What a course! can't wait to see you return in a year or so. Great golf.
This is my favourite episode by far and also my favourite pairing. The connection and conversation between you both is great. Honestly take a bow for this episode
I'd vacation in Brooksville to play at "World Woods" in the past. There were 2 championship courses, plus a par 3 course. Very nice practice area, way out in the woods. No condos, just Florida scrub and woods around. Now it's Cabot? New management, new course design? Out of my price range, sadly. Too bad for the locals. I guess they'll have to play at the Brooksville CC, kind of a sweet course with some quirky holes.
What a fantastic video. It was great to see you having fun on the course and Ryan is such a fun and chill guest. And that hole out from the bunker? Absolutely unreal. Keep up the great work Rick!
What a great video, good to see Rick back playing some great golf even with fighting the driver. Flopping a bunker shot in on the last hole to break 75 was the best way to end this video after so many sand saves. Great video Rick, we all appreciate the effort you put in for our entertainment
Having played there in April, can confirm this is one of the best public courses in the US and Britain. It’s very playable with lots of options for the average golfer (play at 6,200 yds; for example the par 3 third hole would play 200 yards so can use a fairway wood, and it runs exactly as Ryan says; hit anywhere right and it’ll run another 30 yards and funnel to the hole). Split fairways, hero lines, ton of roll on fairways, double greens some 2,000 sq ft in size. Super fun.
Video definitely deserves a like, as well Rick you certainly don’t give yourself enough credit, your recovery is very good and your short game has improved tremendously. Well done and cheers
Great round Rick (at last)!! So much more fun to watch when you accept the bad shots and have a laugh at yourself. Ryan is a brilliant guest an absolute natural in front of the camera.
Ricky started all happy and the coment about he doesn't care what score he got and was just happy to play! set the tone and i perked me up to watch this and WOW ricky didn't disappoint!!!! loved every minute of it! ricks head never went down played some amazing shots! and to be honest his driving was rubbish! but he kept his chin up laugh about it! moved on and made this amazing video and the ending was awesome! what a video! interesting funny and a great watch! one of your best videos buddy!
Truth be told, I usually fast forward through videos that are more than an hour long. I'm unfamiliar with your playing partner this time around, but I was really locked-in to the video. Very compelling and entertaining. Thank you.
Terrific Break 75! Well done. The first Cabot courses are here in my home province and they are phenomenal. The service is amazing. Can't wait to tackle Cabot Citrus Farms in 2025.
That was class. So happy to see you score well. All that bunker practise during the round paid off at the end! The slow mo camera angle replay showing the early call was perfect.
I find myself pulling for Rick more than I would myself. You've made some incredible videos, but this was by far my favorite, and I've been watching for years.
Rick... seriously with that finish on 18... epic!!! Can't wait to see this course when it's all grown in... love listening to Ryans course descriptions, lots of knowledge.
Well done Rick, great score on such a long course. Thought you looked more relaxed with Ryan and with the more positive air, helped you bounce back from adversity. Probably won't be the best ball striking round you'll ever play but the short game was on fire on the back 9. A good lesson to watchers to never let you head go down as it's often easier to shoot a decent number after an average start. Onwards and upwards!
On so many of the Break 75's i have commented that Rick needs to trust his chipping and that last hole proves me right! Also i love Ryan on the channel, he makes the videos so chill and you can see he chills Rick out when hes frustrated
Rick is like a brand new person with the positivity! I laughed out loud so many times here, love the lack of tension when he makes a mistake and he just makes light of it now! I watch lots of good good and gm and they’ve struggled to keep the tension lower recently now since they haven’t played as well. This is perfect timing for Rick’s channel. Keep it up 💪
It was such an easy fix for Rick with his driver! He wasn't allowing the club to get set at the top of his backswing. That said, Shielsie really grinded out a solid round. On a very difficult golf course! Well done, mate.👍
This was so fun to watch. Rick really enjoyed himself. The happy face helped, I think. I think I would have to trade a club in my bag for a rake with all that sand!
@rick some of the best short game work I’ve seen from you ever. That practice is paying off. Marvellous 18th finish. 👍🏼 Ryan is all class too, great guest.
Ryan saying about trying to achieve instead of avoid .. is a great bit of advice for anyone … I think it would be the one thing I will be trying to do going forward .. great video Gents
Something is bothering me ever since I started playing golf. The obsession over score and it being the determining factor as to whether you enjoy your round. I thought this break 75 series was meant to be a bit of fun whilst exploring the journey of Golf. Every golfer is on a similar journey, whether they play off scratch or 24. However, the series feels like it’s become, “unless I break 75, I am no good at Golf. “ The comments Rick gets are typical of this culture of obsessing over score. In many Golf groups, the first question people ask is what did you score? I remember the book Zen Golf taking this apart. They questioned this overreliance on the number making or breaking your day. Instead, it suggested we should ask deeper questions such as, “did you enjoy it? How was the course? Did you play well? Who did you play with? “ Instead, when people ask what or why you scored poorly, they want to know what happened. So I tell them I am not a tour player and sometimes I am crap at Golf. I know I’m in the minority with this, but I enjoy Golf so much more now since working on this. I have broken par, lowered my handicap and also enjoyed playing much more. It can be done, but I feel people are wasting rounds, getting frustrated at Golf. Equally, they are judging these series by a standard which constantly judges golfers. We can do that by watching Tour pros because that’s their job. We’re more forgiving when people lose by a shot or have a bad round on day 2. However, if Rick shoots 78, it’s as if the world has ended 🤣🤣🤣 I coach athletics and see the same thing.
Seeing Rick flexing and laughing. What a welcome change! And your decision to stop trying to shape every shot...FINALLY! It's fun to shape when it's NEEDED, but you golf so well, when you just go right at the pin
Best video ever! Ryans a great guest and wonderful to see you play well. What a finish. Be good to see some small bits of player interview (what are your plans this year / which events / what trying to achieve).
I am not one to comment on videos.. but seeing Ricks pure joy and excitement after sinking the bunker shot on 18 really brought a smile to my face! Back to the old ways!
A great finish! 7800+ yards wow but it seemed many holes played shorter due to the hardness??? Also many of your drives would have been lost or ob if it wasn’t what appears to be wide wide open. With all that sand and some of the very crazy greens it looks like a 5-6 hour for an average golfer. Loved your new outlook on the game. That along with all the work you’ve put in is making break 75 much more realistic. Ryan is a natural and I wish him much luck.
I’ve played this course and it is by far unlike any course in Florida I have ever played! Probably around 40 Trackman simulator on the range at every individual bay even set up for lefty’s. Being a 14 handicap this course specifically the greens tore me up! They leave the greens slow on purpose too because they are so brutal!
Rick, Rick, Rick!!!! What a finish mate! You stayed with it the entire time and the finish was incredible. Have been your biggest fan since a few years ago and I was jumping on that last bunker shot! Fenomenal!!!!!! 🔥🙌🏼
Ah... I clicked on this because your thumbnail mentions a new #1 course. Buuuuh, your caption underneath mentions a #1 new course. I got it 14 seconds into the vid...#1 new course. Good vids...I appreciate all you do, Rick. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You're getting me back into the game.
Great to see this version of Ricky Scrambles! Excellent content as always, Ryan seems to bring out the best when facing constant adversity. Well done lads!!
Great episode! Course looked kind of rough around the edges but expected as a new course. Rick, you looked relaxed and having fun. Even a bit playful with the towel in the sweater flexing your biceps. I think that helped you score well despite driving poorly. You even struggled driving the cart! Loved how the cup had a tinny sound when the ball dropped. And way to drop the bunker shot on 18 to break 75!
Looks like the "keep positive" mindset is working for you Rick!! A huge congratulations for the round and the best vid I've seen of yours!. Ryan is a superb guest too! 🎉

I’ve I’ve watched every break 75 this one was your best you being you and still playing decent golf that’s what I like seeing
Just finished episode and you proved you are still the best RUclips golfer around loved this episode proud for you
I find myself pulling for Rick more than I would myself. You've made some incredible videos, but this was by far my favorite, and I've been watching for years.
Love how you walked through exactly what you wanted to have happen on that last bunker shot and made it happen, Rick!! Beautiful all around.
Rick... seriously with that finish on 18...
Great video Rick! Your attitude was miles better than some previous videos and your game rewarded you for it. Keep it up
Awesome finishing birdie!! What a course and what a performance! ❤
On so many of the Break 75's i have commented that Rick needs to trust his chipping and that last hole proves me right! Also i love Ryan on the channel, he makes the videos so chill and you can see he chills Rick out when hes frustrated
What a video Rick and what a round of golf! It's great to see you playing with such positivity and always nice to see Ryan back on the channel.
Keep it up 💪
Soooo happy for Rick to finish like that. Had shivers watching it. Get in there!
By far the best you’ve played in a long time. Such a great ending. Ryan is a great addition, his videos with Kwon are terrific as well.
It was such an easy fix for Rick with his driver! He wasn't allowing the club to get set at the top of his backswing. That said, Shielsie really grinded out a solid round. On a very difficult golf course! Well done, mate.👍
1:38:05 WHAT A SHOT!!!! WHAT A COMEBACK!! Great round from the pair of you.
Break 75 is back, what a finished Rick kudos for hanging in there all round. And Ryan always a pleasure
However, if Rick shoots 78, it’s as if the world has ended 🤣🤣🤣
I coach athletics and see the same thing.
further than my holidays never played it before what a round Rick big well done
ive got to say, this is one of my fav break 75 yet. Ryan is a great personality as well.
Ryan has a great RUclips Channel, been following him for awhile and really hoping for him to get back to the tour. Great video, Rick!
The pure joy from Rick on his last shot made me smile from ear to ear. 😊
What a daunting course, loved the commentary as it’s just brilliant to hear how true professional golfers think. Thanks.
Unreal shot on 18!!!!!! Almost as magnificent as the sunset in the background! Best Break 75 yet!
Nearly broke my face with the smile when you sank that last shot on 18. Well done Rick. A great video.
That last shot!! Breaking 75! Definitely vibing off of Ryan! Great chemistry! Fantastic!!! 💯💯💯
Seeing Rick flexing and laughing. What a welcome change! And your decision to stop trying to shape every shot...FINALLY! It's fun to shape when it's NEEDED, but you golf so well, when you just go right at the pin
What a cool looking course! Also Ryan is great on the channel. It was fun to watch as he kept Rick upbeat and just talked golf. Was a cool episode!
Great video. Ryan’s commentary and general attitude and vibe are so good. Can see him giving the positivity to Rick too
That was the best break 75 yet. If you fix that driver you’re gonna be seriously trending this year! Ryan was class again too 👏🏼
Rick, Rick, Rick!!!!
Absolute perfection from the green-side bunker on 18. Could watch that all day. Congratulations, Rick!
