Thank you so much for this video! I'd love to know how its held up - has it stayed months after? I had a really bad experience with Keratin in the past where it damaged my hair and made it dry and created split ends - did you experience that with this treatment?
Most welcome dear. The treatment has really worked well for my hair. It’s been 8 months now and no damage or hair fall. My hair are almost back to how it used to be but without any frizz. In my experience, post cysteine/keratin hair care is very important to maintain and keep your hair healthy.

I personally prefer Botoplexx. I wouldn’t know anyone in Delhi unfortunately, you could always google good hairstylists in Delhi and check their instagram pages to see if you like them.

You should color your hair before the cysteine treatment, coloring after can wear it off faster

Hey, I use the Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner for volume. Yes you can use herbal products without sulphates and parabens.
if doing cystein treatment with qod products is so possible.....then is having done cystein treatment from gk(globsl keratin)products is possible??....or I had been fooled by my stylist of doing keratin treatment other than cystein😢😢??reply plz pls!!

Did your stylist use sulphate free shampoo to wash your hair before the treatment? MamaEarth claims to be sulphate free, can it be used after the treatment for regular hair wash?
In Lakme they use De fabulous shampoo which is sulfate free

As i hv done cysteine treatment just today and my stylist suggested me for De fab shampoo n conditioner..so is it necessary to use d same or Der are any other brand shampoo conditioner; which can be reasonable comparatively to De fab

I didn’t have any hair loss. Hair loss may happen due to many reasons. Cysteine doesn’t cause any hair loss as such. I use the Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner for volume.

Di i have heard a lot of people saying that keratin treatment leaves hair unmanageable and unhealthy because of which they gotta get keratin done again and they don't get the chance to keep their natural hair... Because they are at their worst... Is that the same with cystine? Like what if i don't feel like getting cystine done after it lasts? Does it leave hair at it's worst
Hi dear, It’s all about how you take care of your hair after the treatment. Cystiene and Botoplexx has definitely done well for my hair, it hasn’t left them damaged even after the treatment is now out of my hair. Continue using a sulphate free shampoo/conditioner and apply a hair mask once a week and follow a good hair care routine that u usually follow and it should be good.

shreya kaushik you can oil your hair occasionally, not too much. Your hair won’t really require oiling till the treatment lasts. Even if you do, just oil your scalp for sometime before your hairwash.
QOD is Brazilian Keratin and is fairly new in India. So they are two different treatments.

No do not tie your hair up before the final wash. After the final wash you can tie them in any hair style

I have curly hair and would love to try it. My only issue is I have grey hair and I have to keep doing root touch up every 2 to 3 months. Is it feasible to do color along with cysteine?
Ramitha Shetty you can colour your just before your treatment maybe on the same day, and then get your cystiene done. And after 2-3 months you can always get a root touch up done (hair toner) it won’t affect your cysteine.
Ramitha Binumohan not as such. But hair care and using a sulphate and paraben free shampoo/ conditioner is important.

The root
Your natural hair will grow from your root. I have naturally wavy hair and that's how they grow back. You can do a touch up cysteine on your roots after a couple of months when you see the difference or blow dry it from the front. (I used to blow dry them)
Does the hair tip give a pointed look? Because I don't want to have that look.
And which shampoo and conditioner to use post this treatment?
Mrunalini Jadhav it only gives a naturally straight look. It won’t look pointed and super straight. I use the Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner. The Olaplex Shampoo/Conditioner is also really good.

Sure it will but always talk to your hair stylist about the after care treatment

Fatma Abdul most welcome. I would suggest wait for the keratin to wear off before you go ahead with cystiene.

Fatma Abdul you can get cystiene done on the hair that’s grown out. Since I can’t have a look at your hair, a hairstylist will be able to guide you best, for when you should get it done. I suggest wait for 2-3 months more till the keratin wears out completely.
Can you please tell a good brand of sulphate free shampoo
I personally like Moroccan oil and Olaplex which I’ve tried and have worked really well for me. They are both sulphate and paraben free

You should colour your hair before getting the treatment done. If you have already got your treatment done, wait for a few months for the cysteine to wear off to colour your hair.

Immediately after cysteine it’s not good. After a few months it’s ok

Mostly it’s using the right products after the treatment and blast drying your hair after every wash. You can watch my video on post cysteine hair care,
Can we put oil on hair after cysteine
You can, but just on the roots. I wouldn’t recommend too much oiling for a first few months after cystiene since you don’t want to rigorously wash out that oil which takes away the effect of cystiene sooner

Hey, I got it done at Hairmasters in bandra , Mumbai - 2 years back. The salon is under renovation post covid but my hair stylist and team who did my treatment are currently freelancing. I yet continue going to them at different salons for whatever hair needs I have.

Cysteine is more long lasting or keratin
For me, cystiene lasted longer. I would say i took better care of my hair after my cystiene and used proper after care products which were sulphate and paraben free which really helped

Moroccan Oil shampoo for hydration works really well. You can also try using hair masks for treating dry hair.

They don’t have hairmasters in thane, and I understand traveling to the bandra Hairmasters at such a time would be tough, however cysteine treatment is common at most hair salons, so maybe you can call up a few salons in thane and inquire about the treatment.

Depends on the product used but some say it does and some say it’s natural so it doesn’t. However cystiene is definitely a less damaging treatment as compared to keratin.

You can apply oil, I would suggest only on the roots while the treatment lasts. Yes your hair will start looking similar but with less frizz

Yes most definitely. I do that all the time. You can even style your hair in curls if you like. Your hair will go back to being straight once you wash them.

The sulphate free shampoo and conditioner is from Moroccan Oil - They have 3 kinds I use the one for Volume
Actually keratin treatments doesnt have chemicals such as formaldehyde the one with such chemical were brazillian blowouts
Hey. No hair treatment directly contains formaldehyde. It is when products are mixed/ treated with heat and that’s when they release formaldehyde. And the keratin treatment generally contains formaldehyde based formulas along with Brazilian blowouts

I have weavy hair.I did cysteine treatment from enrich salon...but in very first wash 80 percent effect of cysteine goes off..my hair back to normal..the only thing is frizz is not there..😔
Sometimes the product used is not the best. The amount of product used for different hair textures also varies. If not done correctly, it can wear off pretty soon

I haven’t tried nanoplasty, but cystiene worked really well for my hair.

I did not face hairfall. I prefer cystiene since I have not faced any side effects post the treatment. I have answered most of the post hair treatment queries in my last video.

Niharika Sadhotra if you take good care of your hair with a good shampoo/conditioner there shouldn’t be hairfall. Besides, there are places that check the health of your hair and decide the amount of product to be used. Personally, it’s been a good experience so far.
