I just found this channel today, and I love it. The first two videos I watched were the reading lists for Rene Guenon and Julius Evola. Cheers.

Hello Saiyad. I am a new viewer to your channel. Just want to say, as one of many, thank you so much for this 'course', your commentaries and the discussions you and your guest/s share on this topic. I am new-ish to Evola. I have had it in my mind to study him one day. Your course makes his work and the spirit of his work very accessible. I am 3 videos in. And have learned a lot already. Wow. Evola did/does seem to have had an ability to really read the tea leaves and speak to the elephant in the room. Really good stuff. Thank you

@Marcion of Sinope @Baron Arikov : It would appear that someone seems to think that my being a Muslim perhaps predisposes me to be averse to including Evola's work "Pagan Imperialism" among the readings for the online course announced in this video. Nothing could be further from the truth. I simply don't have room to include everything and choices had to be made.
As for what is known as "paganisim" the Traditions of ancient Greece and Rome were far superior to the "Christianity" which ultimately uprooted them. Figures such as the Emperor Julian and the Emperor Marcus Aurelius were true kashatriyas, warrior sages, who stand leagues above such pitiful figures of Christianity such as Francis of Assisi . What became known as Christianity bears little relation to the original message of the Prophet ʿĪsā Ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary)---peace be upon them both---and is very much the creation of Paul. [On the contemptible traits of Christianity F. Nietzche's"The Antichrist" makes for fascinating reading].
The fact is that most Muslims know very little about Tradition in the ancient world and thus are very suspicious of the Traditional teachings of ancient Greece and Rome (not mention ancient Babylon, Egypt, India, China, and Japan). Notable exceptions in this regard are al-Biruni, who lived nearly a thousand years ago, and in modern times (of course) Guenon but also Algis Uždavinys. See especially these three books of his:
      1. Philosophy as a Rite of Rebirth: From Ancient Egypt to Neoplatonism
      2. Sufism and Ancient Wisdom
      3. Philosophy and Theurgy in Late Antiquity

Read “Not In His Image”(the 15yr anniversary edition) by John Lamb Lash. He’s also written a few other books. I have one of them but haven’t started it yet, but his aforementioned book is absolutely mind-blowing & more traditionalist than anything else I’ve ever come across. It’ll contradict your current values but it typifies the moral values of Greece, Rome, India, ancient Levantine culture & Egyptian civilisation wisdom as well.

I had not heard of this book until now. Thank you for bringing to my attention and those who follow this channel.

@@SaiyadNizamuddinAhmad You seem very widely-studied for a Muslim, as in I mean to say it’s not common enough for Muslims to study non-Islamic sources, which needs to change if Humanity are to be exposed to the authentic truth. “Not In His Image” is the work of a true genius. All who speak to him do so with great respect and admiration however the man is equally humble towards those same people. He has experienced initiation in a manner that usually requires an instructor of the ancient ways but he initiated himself in an accidental manner which is even more of a credit to his brilliance. I urge you to read his book. You’ll be very thankful you did.
      And you’re very welcome.

Do you plan to post any free lectures about Evola like you did with Guenon or do you plan to only produce payed content about Evola?

  • @noahdanielg

Such a great initiative Sheikh, deep academic and unbiased content on Evola is desperately needed. Also really looking forward to all the Traditionalist content, especially on Schuon and Martin Lings! Unfortunately I will not be able to join this course due to time constraints and other time zone differences but hope you might make recordings available in the future
