Very good video and I will use this plug-in .. for information semi circular rule is to defined on witch FL you gonna fly according to your heading ! ex : 0 to 179° you have to fly odd FL ex FL130 IFR or 135 for VFR and from 180 to 359 pair FL ex : FL80 IFR or 85 for VFR . Thanks for your vidéo ;)

Oh one other thing it's an Airbus use managed speed not selected when on final approach to get the protections of ground speed mini. Boeing you select the speed Airbus it's fully managed unless you need another speed for some reason. Great vids!
I tried world traffic 3 and didn’t like it. I tried live traffic and it sucked. I tried the default x plane traffic and saw no planes. I tried x life and loved it. It is the best traffic plugin in my opinion.
also, I hope that JAR adds more airports, and perhaps a more inviting U.I. more like Pro ATC-X for FSX. Again, tks. pal keep up the great work. I made this purchase based on your review and tutorial.
Cool video mate well done. Just on your setup for departure standard Airbus SOP's is packs on not off like JARdesign state. Imagine sitting in an aircraft with 180 pax with no air conditioning for more than 5 minutes! So packs up pre start and they stay on unless required for performance. Great look at X-life thanks!

That is the main reason I will not use x plane. In p3d you can have traffic that had accurate and up to date liveries (with some work), realistic schedules, and airlines that park at the correct terminals and gates

Did the payware version of X-Life improve since your last review? If the ATC and the AI is working well now, I would absolutely like to pay for this. I also wonder if additional ATC voices can be installed.

The Flightplan of X-Life, always want a "Alternat Airport Destination", if i choose this, he tells me: "this is not compatible to XPlain 11" I do not understand. for Example: EDDH > EDDC alternate: EDDP he do not accept EDDP, i cant enter a flightplan, without an Alternative Destination. your Configuration work, but i do not understand, how you get the Alternate Airport to work can you explain this ?
ignore semi-circular rule means you do ignore the westbound/eastbound FL rules. (east =odd, west is even) at 31:19 you are reading the EDDH ATIS! the EHAM ATIS is beyond that one. Thats why ATIS and ATC are not the same...
Can you do a video on xplane 11 with x-life and act chatter? And can you zoom in on what is being performed? Previously you did a video on fmc but I could not see knobs/buttons you were clicking because you didn't zoom in
Hello Osamah, great video as always. And I totally agree with your assessment at the end of the video. Based on my conversations with a community at X-Plane.org everybody agrees, it appears that this is half baked. Hopefully they can make it a more robust product. Maybe they should have call this release, "early access" ( Steam lingo for those of you who do not know what that means ). I think they should have released the product to at least at the level of Microsoft flight simulator ATC System. Yes, we all know it's not very good either, but at least I can get into the simulator call up clearance delivery, ground, tower, ATC and vector me to the active runway all away to Center and beyond. For me, I'm looking for a offline ATC product that works right out of the box, what this means is, that I install the plug in run it, it populates the area that I am at automatically with randomization of the traffic and go. I do not have to set up anything, and im more than willing to pay for that kind of ability. Oh well, hopefully somebody will step it up and take the challenge to make a more robust product that is currently available to the X-Plane user. Time will tell I guess, because frankly that's all we can hope for. Thank you for the video in all be enjoying your next one. For AI Traffic, you might want to consider WT2. For ATC, I think X-Plane 10.50 will feature a completely re-worked ATC (no more you are off course). Yeah I bought World Traffic 2 awhile ago, but regrettably it did not do as I stated above in my previous post in what I wanted in his product as well. So in effect I told the developer, I was donating to his cause to make his product better at the time . Hopefully with one of the two products available to us will blossom into products that can be automatically generated traffic at least so we as simulation enthusiasts can just load up our sim, and go fly and not have to tinker too much. But again that's just me, maybe I'm in the minority on that. And thank you for reminding me about the new overhaul that 10.5 is going to have " hopefully", I totally forgot about that. I really can't stand being cleared to land and soon after, another plane is cleared to take off on the same runway and I'm ordered to go-around !!! I hope this will be fixed also in XP 10.50 !!! The semi-circular rule is where ifr aircraft going towards west fly at an even fl, east at a uneven fl, and vfr traffuc flies at levels endinf in 5 like 145 for example
Hello. I have viewed this video several times to ensure I followed every step correctly and yet, X-life won't even show in the plugin Admin menu. I have a Navigraph acct but nothing. I also have Better Pushback and XPUIPC (which I admit do not know what it does). What am I missing?

I noticed it doesn't do well with imported text flight plans. I had one from KORD Chicago to EHAM Amsterdam and it took me all over the place. About twice as far as normal regardless of what flight planner I used. Any thoughts?
Hello! Bravo, very good video tutorial. I belive that FL semicircular rule is a rule minded to avoid aircraft crash, in Italy all flight heading 269 to 90 shall fly an even altitude (eg FL300) an the others an odd one. Regards!

Thank you for your kind words and for watching the video. I used to have a GTX 770 and I had traffic on default. Works great, but you need to lower your other settings to enjoy a smooth flight. Let me know if you need any further help.
do you know, if only a few aircrafts support the Flightplan? I cant import flightplan or do it manually, it always says error and i have to check cycle, but they are both on the same level... i dont know where the problem is located
09:08 this is probably is too late, but what is basically is the odds and the evens altitudes rule, west heading even thousands east heading odd thousands for IFR, for VFR same but plus 500ft for east and west altitudes, so by putting check mark on that you ignoring this rule and fly what altitude you like .

Any updates to the software package about the known bugs? Former real airline pilot here. Everything looks pretty realistic save for the flows and readbacks. Since I don't fly anymore this would be a great way to keep the fun part of the process at home, rather than slogging across airports and cities all day.

What is better? Xlife or WT2? I have WT 2.0, but i cant get it to work. And its way to much work to set up every single airport you use in xp10 (im talking about those flightplans, goundroutes etc..)
If you just want to use the AI Traffic do you need a flight plan? Or does Xlife pull the flight plan info to generate the AI traffic along the route? I haven't tried filing a plan yet, so maybe this is why I dont see any aircraft along my route?
I'm getting purple circles around some of the X-life planes and sometimes flashing green circles around others? (Free version). Is this a bug or their way of getting you to buy Deluxe?
Hi. I bought WT2 and the setup just doesn't work. Planes don't fly out of the enabled airports even though there is a departure / arrival file. WT2 only works in a few airports. Can you teach me how to get WT2 set up so that all my American airports will be populated? I know this is not related to X Life.
Hello Osamah, I realized that X-life doesn't not work when you do a replay. The aircraft will stay static whether in the air or ground only your own aircraft is moving. Do you notice that as well? Anyway nice video presentation on X- Life.

+Osamah Alabdullah i do have the latest version, in your video you are importing the route to X-Life.What i did i click on Generate route so that might be the problem. The routes generated by X-Life might not be accurate.

Hey there, I have a joystick button mapped to TOGA. When I press the button, TOGA is engaged. After departure, when I engage VNAV, and set Climb thrust, the auto throttle takes over and follows the speed set in the MCDU.
Hi Osamah! How you doing sir? I know X-Life allows to insert a fms plan with VOR points. But after that, how is X-Life support with VOR In-flight? For example, before landing, does the program give us special instructions, or it will give me a STAR like a "normal" navigation? What would happen if you had purchased a payware airport like Aerosoft Zurich - will X-life work out of the box with that or would you have to set up the AI yourself for it to have AI aircraft?
You have to check the MAP for supported airports. Normally, if the airport is supported by x-life, it would indicate so in the list of features. No you don't have to setup anything. If the airport is supported, just turn traffic on and x-life will do the rest. Thanks for watching!

Hi Q8, you just watch the review of Xlife for xplane since you produced this video do you know if there is an update or upgrade version of the Plug in/ ATC tower voice really sucks . If FSX voice is Bad this plug in Killed the Xlife for good. Why doe is sound like robotic what is that about?
I am very des appointed with Xplane and if it wouldnot be for the graphic that xplane 11 produce and auto gen, I would be asking for my money back and stay with fsx or even better that other sim p3d . I think it would be a lot better in fact it is a lot more compatible with fsx.
How do you get such detail on the AI aircraft? I have the "static" version and the detail is awful. And I could really use a tutorial on maximizing the use of views, e.g., scrolling around in the scenery.
Hi Osamah, Could you give me an advice? Which one is the best choice? JARDesign X-Life Deluxe or WT3 ?? JARDesign X-Life Deluxe provides a new ATC device which maybe is good idea. X-Plane-11 ATC's sounds really poor for me.
Frankly, I tested WT3 and it suffers greatly in terms of performance. X-Life is far more stable. WT3 will probably be enhanced and only then it will be a better AI Traffic program. For now, X-Life wins.

could you do a tutorial on how to acknowledge all ground commands from x-life? i have no idea where to go from the runway or how to use the instructions, i just get lost in the airport if i try use the atc ground instructions
Thanks for watching! X-Life uses its own ATC so you will have to acknowledge the instructions from the x-life ATC window. (Must click the button to confirm every instruction). I hope this helps!
no I'm fine with that, just theres no tutorials on how to use the the information given for example go down route E6,L5,9H to gate 233. I never know how to use those instructions to actually navigate the taxi ways
gunnermatic1 Oh I see, for that you really need the airport chart. Or you could download Airport Navigator plugin from the xplane org. I recommend reading the airport charts though, it would be more realistic. You could also get the JARdesign follow me car.
Great video as always Osamah, but sadly what a dog's dinner of an add-on. It has a lot of potential but currently it's a hindrance to flying rather than a help. The AI looks ok though, but is there any way to localize it, i.e. United A320 & America West 737 in Germany are a looooong way from home?
Yes it is was a disappointment for me as well and I agree the AI Traffic works ok, but still needs some fine tuning. There is no way to localize it at moment unfortunately; that by it self is another big problem as well. Thanks for watching!
my FPS DROPS by half on every airport with only 20% traffic ,is there anything wrong with my x-life deluxe ?my pc spec is i7 6700k @ 4.7 ,32GB ram ddr4 , gtx 1080 amp extreme ,aiport that gives 40 FPS when turn on X-LIFE it drops to 20 and even less ,busy airports like JFK gives me 25 FPS but when turn on X-LIFE it goes to 10FPS or less ,my X-P 11 setting are everything max but numbers of objects( high) and shadows ,mid ,pls help ...
Ok, thank you! The 124thATC plugin seems to be promising, because it can also handle SIDs and STARs. I just don't know how well it is working with other plugins like X-Life. The only thing I am still missing in 124thATC right now is the voice recognition for the ATC. You still need to press buttons or use your mouse to confirm the readbacks. Edit: Btw. 124thATC uses the text to speech voices installed on windows and you can change them according to the manual. On Win7 there is only Microsoft Anna installed by default, but you can install other voices like Microsoft Helen. Helen sounds much better for me. However, the installation of Windows voices is a little bit complicated, but if you have enough time you can use the following tutorial-blog: rodolfo-andrade.blogspot.de/2015/11/how-to-install-microsoft-voice-on.html Edit2: I tried the additional windows voices, but only Anna, Helena and ZiraPro are working. Sorry, I could not find any reliable free upload site, so I have uploaded the "Voice Files .zip" on a forum now and edited the download-link. You can download the zip in a Civforum thread: www.civforum.de/showthread.php?86529-X-Plane-Flight-Simulator&p=7577560&viewfull=1#post7577560 The reg-files need to be executed in order to change the registry for the voice installation (see the explanations in the blog).
I figured out that the voice set is actually the Windows 7 default "Microsoft Anne" annoying text-to-speech. Windows 10 has multiple voice sets however, Windows 7 only has one. Still trying to figure out how to change it but this is what X-Plane10 is using. Normally have it turned off, but turned on for X-Life to test it. - Thanks
Can you please fill in what non-stock / addons you are using !? I would like to know what is x-life and what isn't. I can only assume the scenery and A320 is payware or something.
When I press Traffic on/off, it loads for like 10 seconds, and then it says totally out of memory. I'm running on x64 bits with more than enough RAM free, and a GTX860M on low settings, and a Core i7, I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(
It is FPS friendly I must say, but need to watch the number of aircraft. More aircraft will mean less FPS. About 20 or so aircraft should not affect your FPS.
That is OK. I only want there to be flights in the area where I choose to fly. I fly helicopters mostly and are only taking short hops within a given area. Occasionally I take a non-stop 737 flight from Seattle to San Francisco Intl. Will this application automatically generate traffic along that route for example?? Or, do I have to input the individual airports along that route in order for the program to generate traffic
I think I can tell you what this strange option "ignore FL semi-cilcular rule" is. I am not a user of X-Life (not yet at least) but my supposition is based on real-life aviation knowlegde. The regulation states that the Flight Level you are goinig to cruise at is dependent on course of your track, e.g. if you fly eastbound (tracks between 360 degrees and 179 degrees), you should maintain FL 270, FL 290, FL 310, FL 330 etc., and when you fly westbound (180*-359*) FL for you are: FL 280, FL 300, FL 320 etc. So, as far as I am concern setting this box on will cause the plugin ATC to let you not comply with this rule. Shall I search the Internet to find a specific document which contains these law regulations? That's for sure some ICAO-like shit ;) . Oh, may have a question by the way? Is it possible with X-Life Deluxe ATC to perform a VFR flight in my tiny Carenado Seneca rather then a IFR one in a big jet plane as yours? Greetings from Poland! the ATC told you "descent to FL110 at pilot's discretion", meaning you were cleared to descent at any time you would deem appropriate (TOD), however you've begun the descent immediately. Therefore the discrepancy...

ignore semi-circular rule means you do ignore the westbound/eastbound FL rules. (east =odd, west is even) at 31:19 you are reading the EDDH ATIS! the EHAM ATIS is beyond that one. Thats why ATIS and ATC are not the same...
Can you do a video on xplane 11 with x-life and act chatter? And can you zoom in on what is being performed? Previously you did a video on fmc but I could not see knobs/buttons you were clicking because you didn't zoom in

Hello Osamah, great video as always. And I totally agree with your assessment at the end of the video. Based on my conversations with a community at X-Plane.org everybody agrees, it appears that this is half baked. Hopefully they can make it a more robust product. Maybe they should have call this release, "early access" ( Steam lingo for those of you who do not know what that means ).
I think they should have released the product to at least at the level of Microsoft flight simulator ATC System. Yes, we all know it's not very good either, but at least I can get into the simulator call up clearance delivery, ground, tower, ATC and vector me to the active runway all away to Center and beyond.
For me, I'm looking for a offline ATC product that works right out of the box, what this means is, that I install the plug in run it, it populates the area that I am at automatically with randomization of the traffic and go. I do not have to set up anything, and im more than willing to pay for that kind of ability.
Oh well, hopefully somebody will step it up and take the challenge to make a more robust product that is currently available to the X-Plane user. Time will tell I guess, because frankly that's all we can hope for. Thank you for the video in all be enjoying your next one.

So in effect I told the developer, I was donating to his cause to make his product better at the time . Hopefully with one of the two products available to us will blossom into products that can be automatically generated traffic at least so we as simulation enthusiasts can just load up our sim, and go fly and not have to tinker too much. But again that's just me, maybe I'm in the minority on that. And thank you for reminding me about the new overhaul that 10.5 is going to have " hopefully", I totally forgot about that. I really can't stand being cleared to land and soon after, another plane is cleared to take off on the same runway and I'm ordered to go-around !!! I hope this will be fixed also in XP 10.50 !!! The semi-circular rule is where ifr aircraft going towards west fly at an even fl, east at a uneven fl, and vfr traffuc flies at levels endinf in 5 like 145 for example

Hello. I have viewed this video several times to ensure I followed every step correctly and yet, X-life won't even show in the plugin Admin menu. I have a Navigraph acct but nothing. I also have Better Pushback and XPUIPC (which I admit do not know what it does). What am I missing?

Thank you for your kind words and for watching the video. I used to have a GTX 770 and I had traffic on default. Works great, but you need to lower your other settings to enjoy a smooth flight. Let me know if you need any further help.
do you know, if only a few aircrafts support the Flightplan? I cant import flightplan or do it manually, it always says error and i have to check cycle, but they are both on the same level... i dont know where the problem is located
09:08 this is probably is too late, but what is basically is the odds and the evens altitudes rule, west heading even thousands east heading odd thousands for IFR, for VFR same but plus 500ft for east and west altitudes, so by putting check mark on that you ignoring this rule and fly what altitude you like .

Any updates to the software package about the known bugs? Former real airline pilot here. Everything looks pretty realistic save for the flows and readbacks. Since I don't fly anymore this would be a great way to keep the fun part of the process at home, rather than slogging across airports and cities all day.

Hi. I bought WT2 and the setup just doesn't work. Planes don't fly out of the enabled airports even though there is a departure / arrival file. WT2 only works in a few airports. Can you teach me how to get WT2 set up so that all my American airports will be populated? I know this is not related to X Life.

Hello Osamah, I realized that X-life doesn't not work when you do a replay. The aircraft will stay static whether in the air or ground only your own aircraft is moving. Do you notice that as well? Anyway nice video presentation on X- Life.

Hey there, I have a joystick button mapped to TOGA. When I press the button, TOGA is engaged. After departure, when I engage VNAV, and set Climb thrust, the auto throttle takes over and follows the speed set in the MCDU.

But after that, how is X-Life support with VOR In-flight? For example, before landing, does the program give us special instructions, or it will give me a STAR like a "normal" navigation?

What would happen if you had purchased a payware airport like Aerosoft Zurich - will X-life work out of the box with that or would you have to set up the AI yourself for it to have AI aircraft?
You have to check the MAP for supported airports. Normally, if the airport is supported by x-life, it would indicate so in the list of features. No you don't have to setup anything. If the airport is supported, just turn traffic on and x-life will do the rest. Thanks for watching!

Hi Q8, you just watch the review of Xlife for xplane since you produced this video do you know if there is an update or upgrade version of the Plug in/ ATC tower voice really sucks . If FSX voice is Bad this plug in Killed the Xlife for good.

I am very des appointed with Xplane and if it wouldnot be for the graphic that xplane 11 produce and auto gen, I would be asking for my money back and stay with fsx or even better that other sim p3d . I think it would be a lot better in fact it is a lot more compatible with fsx.

JARDesign X-Life Deluxe provides a new ATC device which maybe is good idea.
X-Plane-11 ATC's sounds really poor for me.
Frankly, I tested WT3 and it suffers greatly in terms of performance. X-Life is far more stable. WT3 will probably be enhanced and only then it will be a better AI Traffic program. For now, X-Life wins.

Thanks for watching! X-Life uses its own ATC so you will have to acknowledge the instructions from the x-life ATC window. (Must click the button to confirm every instruction). I hope this helps!
no I'm fine with that, just theres no tutorials on how to use the the information given for example go down route E6,L5,9H to gate 233. I never know how to use those instructions to actually navigate the taxi ways
gunnermatic1 Oh I see, for that you really need the airport chart. Or you could download Airport Navigator plugin from the xplane org. I recommend reading the airport charts though, it would be more realistic. You could also get the JARdesign follow me car.
yes maybe that jardesign follow me car would probably be most useful to learn how it all works
Unfortunately the follow me car is limited in airports. It looks mainly for use in European airports.
Great video as always Osamah, but sadly what a dog's dinner of an add-on. It has a lot of potential but currently it's a hindrance to flying rather than a help. The AI looks ok though, but is there any way to localize it, i.e. United A320 & America West 737 in Germany are a looooong way from home?
Yes it is was a disappointment for me as well and I agree the AI Traffic works ok, but still needs some fine tuning. There is no way to localize it at moment unfortunately; that by it self is another big problem as well. Thanks for watching!

The 124thATC plugin seems to be promising, because it can also handle SIDs and STARs. I just don't know how well it is working with other plugins like X-Life.
The only thing I am still missing in 124thATC right now is the voice recognition for the ATC. You still need to press buttons or use your mouse to confirm the readbacks.
Edit: Btw. 124thATC uses the text to speech voices installed on windows and you can change them according to the manual. On Win7 there is only Microsoft Anna installed by default, but you can install other voices like Microsoft Helen. Helen sounds much better for me.

Edit2: I tried the additional windows voices, but only Anna, Helena and ZiraPro are working. In case you want to try them I have prepared the .reg files for you:

The reg-files need to be executed in order to change the registry for the voice installation (see the explanations in the blog).

I didn't. These are the ones that come with xlife
I figured out that the voice set is actually the Windows 7 default "Microsoft Anne" annoying text-to-speech. Windows 10 has multiple voice sets however, Windows 7 only has one. Still trying to figure out how to change it but this is what X-Plane10 is using. Normally have it turned off, but turned on for X-Life to test it. - Thanks

When I press Traffic on/off, it loads for like 10 seconds, and then it says totally out of memory. I'm running on x64 bits with more than enough RAM free, and a GTX860M on low settings, and a Core i7, I don't know what I'm doing wrong :(
forget it! I've finally fixed it! It was a problem with the pagefile size in Windows.

What kind of frame rate hit does this program bring to X-Plane 10?
It is FPS friendly I must say, but need to watch the number of aircraft. More aircraft will mean less FPS. About 20 or so aircraft should not affect your FPS.
Is it necessary to generate traffic for individual air ports, or can the program generate air traffic for where ever you are flying.

That is OK. I only want there to be flights in the area where I choose to fly. I fly helicopters mostly and are only taking short hops within a given area. Occasionally I take a non-stop 737 flight from Seattle to San Francisco Intl. Will this application automatically generate traffic along that route for example?? Or, do I have to input the individual airports along that route in order for the program to generate traffic
I think I can tell you what this strange option "ignore FL semi-cilcular rule" is. I am not a user of X-Life (not yet at least) but my supposition is based on real-life aviation knowlegde. The regulation states that the Flight Level you are goinig to cruise at is dependent on course of your track, e.g. if you fly eastbound (tracks between 360 degrees and 179 degrees), you should maintain FL 270, FL 290, FL 310, FL 330 etc., and when you fly westbound (180*-359*) FL for you are: FL 280, FL 300, FL 320 etc. So, as far as I am concern setting this box on will cause the plugin ATC to let you not comply with this rule. Shall I search the Internet to find a specific document which contains these law regulations? That's for sure some ICAO-like shit ;) . Oh, may have a question by the way? Is it possible with X-Life Deluxe ATC to perform a VFR flight in my tiny Carenado Seneca rather then a IFR one in a big jet plane as yours? Greetings from Poland! the ATC told you "descent to FL110 at pilot's discretion", meaning you were cleared to descent at any time you would deem appropriate (TOD), however you've begun the descent immediately. Therefore the discrepancy...
