Superb review...I'm really considering such guitar, seems very interesting regarding tunings. Sounds good for Jazz indeed.
Can you tell me from who is that beautiful arrangement from Somewhere over the rainbow? is absolutely brilliant, is like the django "blowing bubbles" ...so awesome, I want to learn that (I currently play the solo as played by LesPaul over the background track)
Thanks a lot :)
Sacco Svd That is my own arrangement. I have it written out in TAB (for the most part, a little sloppy) that I will gladly send to you if you message me with a standard email address. Thanks. Jake
jake kelly sent :) thanks a lot !!
By the way, do you perceive any change on the note attacks on your AT200? Normally most pitch shift systems (even AT and Melodyne) alter the attack a little bit, it loses a bit of edge. Is it the case with the AT200?
Sacco Svd I only had the review instrument for a few days, but I don't remember there being any conceivable lag (if that is what you meant). After the instrument was auto-tuned, a single string could be de-tuned by turning the tuning gear and/or notes could be pulled out of tune: so, it is my belief that this is not triggering the sound per se, but rather the signal from the bridge piezo-esque pickup being processed in the same way stompbox pedals affect an electric guitar's tone without lag.
If you meant tone itself: yes there is a slight difference between using the guitar's conventional magnetic pickups and the auto-tuned peizo pickup. But I don't remember there being anything abnormal or displeasing about either.
