Yes
@@GRIBSOFT My Mid 2010 17"does not look like this inside. The right speaker is totally different on yours in the video, and your motherboard is different.
Thank you for the great tutorial. But where is the CPU?
It's integrated on to the logicboard.
link please x comprarlo
where to buy new speakers ?
Try ebay or Amazon. I'm not sure apple would still sell something for this old of a computer. You might have to buy "used" speakers if you can't find new.
Now I see why Apple stopped making the 17" model.
Thanks for the effort here, but I should warn you, that leaving off certain important facts caused permanent damage to my motherboard. You failed to mention that some of the connections pull "up" instead of out. This cause me to rip the base of the right speaker connection clean off the motherboard! Can you please explain how I can fix this connection now? Is there a part I can order and solder back on? Second, your description of reconnecting the keyboard was wholly inadequate. Even after multiple tries, my keyboard now has some keys that won't register. In fact, it was nearly impossible to reconnect that ribbon. Please advise me on how I can get my keyboard working correctly again, so I don't have to type on this uncomfortable external keyboard.
I don't see a reply to your question here-Were you able to repair your computer? I am a little hesitant at trying this after reading your comment. Thanks
@@wam44 No I had to get the entire motherboard replaced. However, since I live in East Asia, it only cost $300.
@@MichaelSidneyTimpson Thanks for replying-$300 seems a lot to me to invest in a computer of this vintage. I only paid $500 for it used.. I might be better off just buying some inexpensive external speakers :-) This is a second computer anyway...Thanks again...Where is save apple dollars? Your question is an important one and should have been answered...Stay safe and healthy. Bill
@@wam44 you bought an i7 2.8ghz 17" macbook pro with the upgraded screen for $500? Anyway, I did not mention there was already water damage on the motherboard, so it was worth it.
@@MichaelSidneyTimpson Hi Michael-My machine is a a 17inch I7 2.66 Ghz with only 4Mg ram-NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
Intel HD Graphics 288 MB -I don't think it has an upgraded screen-How can you tell if the screen is upgraded? A friend sold it to me-He is a professional film guy so he is upgrading his machines often...I was lucky to be in the right place right time...thinking about purchasing his 27 inch iMac. 2014 model. It has max ram 3.1 tb HD and I think the 3.4 processor-If I can get it for 7 or 800 I think I will go for it...I have seen similar machines on ebay between 700 and 1K...It has a small craick in the screen that does not extend into the viewing area and it has not grown... He let me test drive it-Amazing speed and the 27 screen is killer!
