Yea but sasori ended up making a poison that even granny couldn’t undo and only sasori at the time was the only one able to make human puppets while also keeping their abilities. So far even though granny turned her arm into a prosthetic sasori was able to turn 95% of him self into one so he felt no pain at all and only had a piece of flesh that held what I believe to be his soul🤔🤔 while granny was legendary I would say sasori learned everything from her and went past that.

The concept of puppets being a jutsu is quite unique and I never knew how cool it was till I saw Sasori use it. Kankuro is not bad but his fights are not as cool as Sasori's.
I think Sasori was stronger than Chio. Not saying it isn't impressive she could take on Hanzo alone but she was uniquely suited to battling him since puppets aren't susceptible to poison. Without Sakura being a mini tsunade puppet I don't think she could take Sasori 1vs1. Really liked the video though keep up the great stuff dude.

Idk if sasori reached his prime yet. he was the second youngest akatsuki at the time of recruitment showing great skill and power at a young age. with that being said he did learn a lot of what he knew from chio. but he had invented human puppets by himself (idk exact age but before he ran away so had to be prior to age 15) he learned from chio until that age and spent the next 15 years perfecting his attack and defense. in the end scene of his death chio admits to sakura that he planned/allowed himself to be killed. (idk know why but my guess is he was just tired of life and wanted to die to see his parents for real again in afterlife.) without sakura chio would have died a few times during the final fight but stamina and age etc were maybe partly the reason. to my understanding sasori was similar to kakazu bc he was essentially a puppet himself and could just have more time to get more abilities and refine his skills and learn from what future generations might come up with. sasori had 15 years to work of off chio and learn her use of puppets. in other words he had a lot of chios knowledge and was naturally gifted with puppets. he could control 100 puppets at a time and fight sakura and chio with 10 strong puppets. with more time to refine his skills he likely could have gotten better control of those 100 or just accumulated more human puppets. kage and other kage level ppl as his puppets would outclass chio by far especially because he could use their chakra natures. I would imagine if he had enough chakra to control 100 puppets proficiently in such a manner as to wipe out a whole country he could make the most of 5, 10, maybe even 15 kage level human puppets. his puppets were weaker than chios but his control of them was exceptional. but i could be wrong. they were both extremely talented and great characters. sasori only had the one friend that he turned into a puppet so i think puppets was pretty much his main thing chio was more well rounded and had medical ninjutsu that was top of the line.

He even went further in puppeteering than Granny chio . She did an arm while he did his entire body. His poisons are just as deadly.

Chiyo’s ability to manipulate Chikamatsu’s Ten Puppets, and develop poisons bolstered the Hidden Sand’s military might was impressive Sasori managed to turn humans into puppets allowing to retain their abilities is unheard of. On top of that he eliminated all the weaknesses of being a puppet master by turning himself into a puppet. He exceeded the maximum amount of puppets that are possible to control Red Secret Technique: Performance of a Hundred Puppets. By using this jutsu it eliminates even the time lag between actions preformed by the puppet, and the actions preformed by the puppet master. It was stated the Sasori took down an entire country using that technique.
Could you do a video on the differences of each Hidden Villages military doctrines, village philosophy, legendary ninja from their past and just general village culture in how they’re different from each other. Always been curious on how the ideologies of each village translates into their military attitudes ie. Sands low population = puppet Jutsu

Where he got each one, what we know of them, and of course why each one was used. The synergy/build explanation of each of the teams from the konoho kids. How each member enables the others, ect. Puppet jutsu is one of my favorite in the whole series. It’s the main fighting style of my brothers naruto oc. He’s developed several powerful puppets including 5 that each poses the five basic chakra natures, a genjutsu puppet developed by studying the sharingan, and artificial puppet arm that can split like general grevious from star wars letting him control twice the number of puppets.
The fella who could use his own version of the inner gates is probably the sands strongest current shinobi, Now you do have the third kazekage and Sasori, the fact that sasori was able to kill him is a complete mystery and he was a borderline genius for managing to not only do that but also be able to use his powers himself, and the third kazekage was reputed to be the strongest Kage the sand had
Thought of another option for the ninja breeding program. Kankuro + Tenten. Kankuro's puppet jutsu combined with Tenten's use of summoning jutsu and ninja tools. A ninja that could basically throw ninja tools that would never miss as they'd be able to use chakra threads to guide them, change trajectories etc. Basically a puppet master that didn't actually use puppets at all but instead specialised in using puppet master jutsu to control weapons.
It's already been done remember tenten vs temari when she did that dragon thing that shot out all those weapons then she used cable strings on the tools on the ground
Ebisu was the name I originally gave my first OC Naruto character for a table top game. He was a Hozuki puppet master from the Mist. My first puppet was modeled after a combination of samurai and the rhinoceros beetle (often used in Japanese beetle wrestling). Ebisu would hide in the beetle samurai puppet and controlled up to two smaller puppets based on facehuggers from Alien (they'd latch on and force poison down an enemy's throat), all while fight up close in the mist. His code name was King Fisher (Bleach reference). Clear inspirtation from Sasori though. I'm really loving the Naruto content that you've been putting out lately. I don't know if you're into tabletop games, but I'd absoluting love to see you play a Naruto themed game with some of your friends. I feel like you'd come up with some unique builds.

Correction: Hiruko wasn't a human puppet (made from a corpse). That was a weird, non-canon change exclusive to the anime. In the manga, it was actually just a normal, wooden puppet. I don't know why the anime altered it to be a human puppet but canonically, it isn't.
Thankyou for talking g about the ten treasures I asked about it awhile ago. This jutsu was always so cool. Imagine a hyuga and puppet master shipping. Hyuga as a clan have the best Chakra control due to there other kekkie genkai. The byackugan could see week spots and many other things that would benefit a puppet master to know. Also the puppets may be able to use hyuga techniques
Yes but sasori had no input lag when using the 100 puppets. Because he made himself roughly 95% puppet so the chakra strings coming from him was coming straight from his chakra source hence why he was able to use more than 10 puppets, and granny chiyo lost like half of Monzaemon Chikamatsu puppets in that battle.
In terms of Puppet Masters I believe the best non Otsutsuki are Kankuro (because of how talented he gets by the point of Boruto) & Sasori (because of his feats & being able to control 100+ Puppets at once) Granny Chiyo was resurrected by accident when trying to find Sasori for the reanimation Jutsu & kept as a key reanimation just because she was skilled even though Sasori was considered more talented.
U know that could have legitimately happened though if Sasori was alive a bit longer and actually founded Manda, remember that after the Deidera fight Manda was ended killed due to the fact that he suffered a major blow from Deidera’s explosion and died, so if Sasori was alive a bit longer and ended up discovered Manda’s dead corspe maybe he could have turn Manda into one of his puppets if u get what I mean still.
If you had lightning release you could send small insanely fast pulses through the thread with a mechanism activated by a small charge, then you could weave pulses of insanely fast lightning nature chakra plus the movements of your hands for highly aggressive combat, definitely know there is a version of that where the puppet master channels pulses of chakra through the threads to activate certain traps just thinking the lightning chakra would do that but quicker

Sasori is my favorite character in the show I remember seeing his puppet form and being instantly hooked on the show. He is the strongest puppet master ever chiyo being a close second. Honestly probably not even close with the thirds puppet body being kage level and sasori and the hundreds puppets being kage level also with the heruko shell he is quite stronger than chiyo and with his medical knowledge, poisons, experience, nigh invulnrability and immortality, and the hundreds of puzzleboxes of death he has acquired over a career of war. He is a terrifing opponent for many and he is essentually a serial killer with only one goal killing and immortilizing his opponents after a quick or agonizingly long and painful death. He easily is the strongest sand shinobi aside from gara and probably the 5th or 6th strongest akaski member.
I feel like puppeteering via Chakra threads is very similar to shadow possession in that something reaches out and takes ahold of someone and controls them. Yet shadow possession seems to take way more chakra

I think that Sasori, while formidable as a puppeteer, is much better at building puppets than Chiyo, just look at his 100 formerly human puppet that kept their notable techniques. However, I think the fact that Chiyo has survived to such an old age says something about her skill. After all, you fear the old in a profession where you die young. Something that backs this up is the fact that the only two other old shinobi are both kages (that I remember).
I'm a casual fan, I've seen all the episodes of Naruto and sometimes a few episodes of Boruto (just can't get into it). With that said i do enjoy your videos, interesting to learn the backstory and connections to traditional Japanese legends. It would really help me out if you can put up reference pictures of the characters you name. You show most of them at least once but I really struggle to remember any of the side characters names so a little thumbnail at the bottom whenever someone is named would really help me out!
I have a good solution for puppet technique limitations, *have a tijutsu or ninjutsu master as a bodyguard.* Hek, have a squad of them if you can control a ten disposable assassin thingies that you lunch blow up and replace in real time.
Sasori also surpassed all the puppet master weaknesses the shell and his puppet body negates the weakness for up close comate, the speed weakness was improved with the hunderad puppets and his the core manipulating the puppets. And the ninjutsu weakness was actually inverted due to the human puppets and them retaining chakra, so most if not all there weaknesses where negated or actually used as a strength. He might also have environmental and biological resistances due to his puppetazation

Correction: Hiruko wasn't a human puppet (made from a corpse). That was a weird, non-canon change exclusive to the anime. In the manga, it was actually just a normal, wooden puppet. I don't know why the anime altered it to be a human puppet but canonically, it isn't.

Regarding threads being unable to cut , if I’m not mistaken in the 4th war when Sasori was animated , the threads were cut by someone I beleive

Yes but sasori had no input lag when using the 100 puppets. Because he made himself roughly 95% puppet so the chakra strings coming from him was coming straight from his chakra source hence why he was able to use more than 10 puppets, and granny chiyo lost like half of Monzaemon Chikamatsu puppets in that battle.

Puppet Master has to be my favourite jutsu. So many interesting and creepy ways it can be employed. Also puppets.
In terms of Puppet Masters I believe the best non Otsutsuki are Kankuro (because of how talented he gets by the point of Boruto) & Sasori (because of his feats & being able to control 100+ Puppets at once) Granny Chiyo was resurrected by accident when trying to find Sasori for the reanimation Jutsu & kept as a key reanimation just because she was skilled even though Sasori was considered more talented.

U know that could have legitimately happened though if Sasori was alive a bit longer and actually founded Manda, remember that after the Deidera fight Manda was ended killed due to the fact that he suffered a major blow from Deidera’s explosion and died, so if Sasori was alive a bit longer and ended up discovered Manda’s dead corspe maybe he could have turn Manda into one of his puppets if u get what I mean still.

If you had lightning release you could send small insanely fast pulses through the thread with a mechanism activated by a small charge, then you could weave pulses of insanely fast lightning nature chakra plus the movements of your hands for highly aggressive combat, definitely know there is a version of that where the puppet master channels pulses of chakra through the threads to activate certain traps just thinking the lightning chakra would do that but quicker

Sasori is my favorite character in the show I remember seeing his puppet form and being instantly hooked on the show. He is the strongest puppet master ever chiyo being a close second. Honestly probably not even close with the thirds puppet body being kage level and sasori and the hundreds puppets being kage level also with the heruko shell he is quite stronger than chiyo and with his medical knowledge, poisons, experience, nigh invulnrability and immortality, and the hundreds of puzzleboxes of death he has acquired over a career of war. He is a terrifing opponent for many and he is essentually a serial killer with only one goal killing and immortilizing his opponents after a quick or agonizingly long and painful death. He easily is the strongest sand shinobi aside from gara and probably the 5th or 6th strongest akaski member.
I feel like puppeteering via Chakra threads is very similar to shadow possession in that something reaches out and takes ahold of someone and controls them. Yet shadow possession seems to take way more chakra
With shadow possession, the enemy is trying to resist, whereas the puppet is just dead weight

I've never once considered 'input lag' when it comes to puppet users. Wow. That's brilliant.
I think that Sasori, while formidable as a puppeteer, is much better at building puppets than Chiyo, just look at his 100 formerly human puppet that kept their notable techniques. However, I think the fact that Chiyo has survived to such an old age says something about her skill. After all, you fear the old in a profession where you die young. Something that backs this up is the fact that the only two other old shinobi are both kages (that I remember).
I'm a casual fan, I've seen all the episodes of Naruto and sometimes a few episodes of Boruto (just can't get into it). With that said i do enjoy your videos, interesting to learn the backstory and connections to traditional Japanese legends. It would really help me out if you can put up reference pictures of the characters you name. You show most of them at least once but I really struggle to remember any of the side characters names so a little thumbnail at the bottom whenever someone is named would really help me out!

I have a good solution for puppet technique limitations, *have a tijutsu or ninjutsu master as a bodyguard.* Hek, have a squad of them if you can control a ten disposable assassin thingies that you lunch blow up and replace in real time.
Sasori also surpassed all the puppet master weaknesses the shell and his puppet body negates the weakness for up close comate, the speed weakness was improved with the hunderad puppets and his the core manipulating the puppets. And the ninjutsu weakness was actually inverted due to the human puppets and them retaining chakra, so most if not all there weaknesses where negated or actually used as a strength. He might also have environmental and biological resistances due to his puppetazation
