I did not have as great success painting him, went to prime dropped him and he broke into about 7 pieces, one wing tip lost to the ether, but fortunately all breaks were clean - body came off clean, wings both clean and rear tail section also stayed together but came off the primary base bit, but now 8 hours later he is back together, primed and at least 60% of the way to being done! Cheers again for the tutorial
Brilliant video! I don't think I'll do Fulgrim, but it is important that it underlined the message from your Guilliman video: patience overcomes detail! As long as you take your time, all minis will come out looking great! Thanks for the continuing inspiration!
Nicely done - both the painting and the commentary. My last primarch was Corvus and the jump pack was so fragile. I had to reinforce it with floral wire after breaking the left-hand wing. I'm glad to know Fulgrim is better.
@@MediocreHobbies he does look absolutely fantastic to be fair, you done a great job. I’m torn between getting him or the nids battleforce as a little Xmas present for myself haha Maybe I’ll (be forced to) let availability decide 😂
I'm with you on having them focus on making amazing models than making them good to transport. He looks amazing and you did such a good job painting him!
Great job done on him Andy, came out brilliantly. I entirely agree with you I’d much prefer they create the most amazing minis possible and let us worry about transporting them, speaking of which to transport I’d go with magnets in a dedicated very useful box, at the point your gonna spend over £170 on a mini and spend the time to build and paint him a few more quit to transport him correctly and safely don’t seem like any kind of hard decision.
He looks fantastic! It makes me hopeful that when the Emperor's Children come out that we get a plastic Fulgrim as well. As long as it looks different so that they both feel unique Great video as always Andy
This is such a magnificent model, can't really call Fulgrim transfigured a miniature. Nice job. Ive never worked on anything resin this size, but when i first started hearing people gripe about him, I figured it was due to disappointment that he was a forgeworld resin model instead of plastic.
Magnificent! Truly gorgeous. I hope you don't mind if I yoink your scheme. I'm not the greatest painter and it seems that contrast does wonders for this model. Didn't expect it could look this pretty with the limited amount of paints you used (complement). I might start with a few emperors children before this one though... just to warm up a bit beforehand... it still looks quite intimidating. I know it's a weird question, but do you have a tip for how long I should wait before attempting this project?
It looks really good. Very lucky on that purple. Two things I would do differently is to paint his armour silver before adding Luxion purple. Just to give the armour a different sheen from the scales. Also give the wings a drybrush to lighten up the membrane of the wings a bit.
Hey, another quality video from yourself, your tutorial for Horus Transcended really helped me out earlier this year and this will do the same for Fulgrim! As an aside if you were paint like a pale yellow for sandstone what colours could I use to achieve that?
Simply amazing. He looks glorious. As he should. I'd love to paint him but i just can't justify the expense of a forgeworld kit like that unfortunately. That's OK though. I'll admire yours instead.
Another amazing Primarch Andy! This video took away all doubts I had of Fulgrim. Out of curiosity,. do you plan on releasing a video on how you did Magnus?
So i out martain texture paste on the base. And then when dry I contrast orange all over and all over the rocks. Then I drybrush ryza rust and then bone. Simple as.
Lovely video and great paint job. Could I ask exactly how tall is he from base to wing tip please? I have pre ordered him and trying to sort out transport now for him. Thanks again :)
Never apologise for asking questions! A heavy zenithal-spray from above to create light/shadow areas! ruclips.net/video/51Hx1uTmtSw/видео.htmlsi=DPVY3coOJ_WRbAi5
Turned out great, will wait to see if someone figures out how to make the wings separable either by heavy pinning or magnets because that guy is going to break in half fr fr.
@@MediocreHobbies Ah painting wise that doesn't sounds like an issue indeed, but was that bit hard to keep straight like the pictures seems to suggest?
I would really like to own one and convert him into my Sslyth emperor ... but he is just too expensive in order to try to pull something like that off with my mediocre skills ....

Oh god, I’m sorry that happened 😨 sounds like he’s all good now for the most part! Good luck with the painting and hold tight to him 😄

So very true pal. And so important
Transporting him won't be that difficult - get a big plastic box, a steel sheet and put some magnets in his base. I do it for all my armies.
Exactly. There is always a way. I mean people bring titans to games.
Yeap at most I would put magnets on the wings so it fits no problem
He's 403 Australian dollary doos. I wish i could justify that
Ouch.
That's a beautiful fig, fantastic paint job. A Nurgle boy myself, but have to admire the beauty of those guys.
Thanks so much man, I’m also more nurgle based but I couldn’t resist painting up this guy to see how he’d turn out
"Big, bold and beautiful" is my new slogan.
This was a great video not just in techniques, also in concept. Thanks!
Very kind pal. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this!! You made this look so easy, I'm considering getting this for a dining-room centerpiece!
That’s sounds really cool pal. Glad the video helped.

Ye he scares me lol. Glad you liked it.
You're quick! Turned out great
Cheers pal.
I keep laughing at:
“he’s not as awkward as people think”
Fulgrim; keeps being awkward
😂
Hahhaha. Very true.

Ye I’m hoping for the same pal.
Great video: Thanks for the easy and accessible tutorial. I have an EC army-going to get this model now.
Sounds awesome pal.
That looks so awesome.

Awesome job!

Putting the Fun in The Funnician.

Wow I cant believe how big he is compared to Angron next to him. Those Wings!
The wings are insane, and actually pretty sturdy!

Of course. Yoink away Pal. That’s why I make the videos.

That’s great to hear pal. Thank you.
How are the wings attached? For transporting and painting magnets could be great.
I just glued everything together, it’s great resin so Im not afraid of it getting damaged
Wonderful model, but Fulgrim always brings a tear to my eye!
Same pal.

Another amazing Primarch Andy! This video took away all doubts I had of Fulgrim. Out of curiosity,. do you plan on releasing a video on how you did Magnus?
The one shown in the video was down for me by a friend. So I’m not sure if I would ever do another.
Great work as always! It’s a shame that forge world still has the same quality issues they’ve had for 20 years.
It’s actually very very good quality. Such a nice model.
Great video mate
Thanks so much man!
My hands would shake constantly painting a £175 model haha
Ah they would be grand. It’s just like any other model.
Can you go over how you paint the ruin structure that he was coiling on?
So i out martain texture paste on the base. And then when dry I contrast orange all over and all over the rocks. Then I drybrush ryza rust and then bone. Simple as.
Amazing!
Thank you!
I recently started this and some issue with contrast body stage. Do you know if there's a base paint of that purple or similar?
Yes probably. There are quite a few base purples now a days.
@@MediocreHobbies thanks
Men it's was really great !!!!!!
Thank you!!
Dang. Nice work
Thanks so much!!

I shall measure him soon.
@@MediocreHobbies cheers boss, much appreciated :D
Hey i am so sorry to comment this but what did he say about the priming? A coating of chaos black and a heavy ??????? Of grey seer?

Hey love the paint job what is a list of all the paints you used?
I don’t always have time to do paint lists with so many uploads, sorry, but they’re all listed in the video!
I would LOVE to see you do Mortarion.
He is on my list pal. I promise.
I’ll just wait for the plastic kit
Sounds good pal
This is honestly like painting morathi, just a bit smaller
About them same size.
So how are they going to navigate the daemon primarchs having 2 separate models?
No idea!
Surely mortarion for next demon primarch? 👉👈
Maybe…
@@MediocreHobbies omg yay
Is he bigger than ka’bandha?
Don’t know. I don’t have a kabandha.
So interesting but I can’t justify getting him as the four the main hoard of my cats would instantly destroy him .
HahahHa cabinets my friend. You need cabinets.
Is this 3d printed? If so what size is it
It’s from Warhammer, not 3D printed
not a difficult model however ever second line was a polite fecking Fulgrim. :)
Haha most people won’t be trying to paint it on camera 😄 that was the awkward part!
Turned out great, will wait to see if someone figures out how to make the wings separable either by heavy pinning or magnets because that guy is going to break in half fr fr.
It’s not impossible for sure.
But what about the lance?
I’m sure you can figure it out with what I have showed here. All trim gold shaft black and blade silver. Should be easy enough.
@@MediocreHobbies Ah painting wise that doesn't sounds like an issue indeed, but was that bit hard to keep straight like the pictures seems to suggest?

What’s wrong with being mediocre 😅😄
@MediocreHobbies 🤣 In your case ... nothing at all! In my case ... everything! 😂
I'm kind of surprised people are worried about transporting this model because models like archeon
I know right? We’ve done it for years!
plastic vs resin makes a big difference for transporting though.
But he will be okay if you're careful
Hell's bells! What an expensive kit.
Ye it’s not for everyone.
I could (try and) live on cheese sarnies for a month (or two?) but would be a difficult sell to the wife......
Love the kit - but not at that price.
Gw really need to be looking at 3d printers, maybe bring their prices down a bit
That’s ok pal. It’s not for everyone. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
easier to not stress about painting a $270 model when you didn't pay for it.
HahahHa ok pal.
Brilliant❤
Thanks so much!
Amazing!
Thanks man
