Thank you again Dennis for this. I still own the SVO. Still looks the same I do drive it a bit. I love my Mach 1 and coyote GT CS but by far the SVO is my fav. Thanks again.

When I was in high school I had a 65 fastback Mustang hyped out. I used to laugh at those brand new 5.0s .I called them 5-point slows. I used to get off of work 930 from my gas station. I would drive up Balboa on the San Fernando Valley towards of Ventura Boulevard. To catch the 101 across the valley. about it Victory I would catch this white SVO Mustang and I didn't know shit about them. We'd always end up with the line together he'd look at me I'd look at him and we'd go for it and he would spank me every time😢 making no noise😮 finally I got him to pull over and show me that little motor. I was never so pissed in my young life. Too young to know about power to weight ratio. Live and learn I would love to own one now🎉

I remember seeing Canadian GM cars back when I was a young boy living in Puerto Rico.
We had both versions, the USA version and the Canadian version of a few GMs like the Beaumont(=Malibu) and the Acadian which was a Chevy Nova version.
However, the Canadian versions were always better. They were better looking and somehow more reliables.(Don't ask me why)🤔
    Thanks Dennis 👍👍👍

I used to live around the block from a guy who raced competition Max wedge Motors. Those things with stroke so hard you swore they stalled. There would be a tenth of seconds of Silence then boom. One of the most impressive Motors I've ever been around. Next to the super Gorillaz to sell out of the Performance Auto Part Warehouse catalog that thing scared me when it started😮

We had a ‘62 Acadian wagon. It was produced in 2 series. The lower was named Invader, the other was the Beaumont. Ours was a Beaumont. It had 2 chrome strips down the side, full wheel disks, nicer upholstery, 2speed wipers with washer, and carpet on the tunnel. I don’t remember them as being labeled as “ Pontiac “ , just as the first Comets weren’t “Mercury “. Road salt was just coming into widespread use and the car developed its first rust hole within 2 years. .

Your memory is good. There were no actual Pontiac badging anywhere, not even in the drivers manual in the glove box. They are NOT a Pontiac, only sold at Pontiac dealerships. Same with the 64-69 chevelle sized Beaumonts🙂
I sold a 64 Acadian Beaumont wagon just a couple years ago

I love to see how excited Dennis gets looking at all the cars. The Monteverdi is a pretty nice car, weird that it came with a Chrysler engine. 😅

My brother had an ‘80 Vanagon (not a camper)and it was brown and tan two tone. He painted it blue and white pearl and drove it from Florida to Oregon. Was probably in 1995.

3:10 We have loads of these in Europe, still in huge demand. They also made these with pop-up tents with newer iterations of the transporter.

I remember in 1980 a camper van just like the one featured 2nd in this video was on display in the middle of our popular shopping mall for an entire Summer. I was 15yrs old and was thinking that maybe I could get a car loan on one at 16yrs. I had a little part time 12 hours per week job at the mall. Lol.

I drove an svo mustang back when they first hit the used market. I absolutely loved it, but couldn't quite scrape the money up to make a deal on it. 😢
