What a lovely place, it' s so serene. I can just imagine wildlife roaming around there, how trusting was that deer to let you pet it, no fear of humans that's quite something! Another one of my 'must see' places on my next NI visit, you both do a brilliant job for the tourist board 👍⛱️

Some years ago I took my family down to Murlough Bay. In those days there were less numbers of visitors about, so we were parked up to have something to eat. The wife was busy knitting in the car and the kids were up in the hill behind us playing and I had lit the barbeque on wheels which was smoking away. My head had been down as I must have been doing something and out of nowwhere I looked up to find a small deer was standing in front of me really close waiting to see what it could get to eat, it had smelled the smoke. I called the wife and kids as I could`nt believe what was happening and we all were petting it for the longest time it was really tame....but my wife made a mistake of bending down in front of it to pick something up from the ground and the deer thought she was "challenging" it and proceeded to headbutt the wife on top of her head, she was all right but it was such a special magical time spent with a wild animal and no mobiles or cameras to take a photo.....will never forget that day......special place, my favourite spot in NI, but sadly I was in it during summer last year and the word has got out because it was bunged and it has lost its peace and tranquility.....Thank goodness the road into Murlough is not suitable for coaches because that would be a travesty......keep up the great work guys.

That's quite a memory Gary. Hard to beat the wonder of nature even if your wife got an unexpected headache! Torr Head wasn't too busy on Saturday but I was shocked at the damage inside of the coastguard station. It isn't many months since I was last there but more floorboards have been broken off and it's quite dangerous inside now. There were empty beer bottles there so I suppose that people had used the wood to light a fire to keep warm whilst they drank. Was down at Murlough twice last week and the visibility was superb, especially across towards the Paps and Kintyre. The walk back up from down beneath Fair Head doesn't get any easier! Thanks for supporting our channel - much appreciated
